We recently tried this restaurant that is located inside of the packing district. I liked their vibrant decor and thought the workers were really nice and polite. They seemed busy for a week night which is great! I liked that the menu is small and not Overwhelming. Also liked that the menu was modern but still very authentic tasting. We ordered two dishes: Chicken panang curry: it came with white jasmine rice. The flavors were on point and very authentic!It was definitely one of the best Thai curries I've tried. The rice was a bit dry though but still good bc it softens when u eat it with the curry. Honey roasted Pork belly: the pork belly is thinly Sliced and you get a side of rice and choose a type of salad. I opted for the arugula which came with a gingery citrus tasting dressing and slivers of almond. The pork belly was cooked perfectly and I loved the honey roasted flavors which had a hint of 5 spice maybe? You could tell they modernized the flavors of this roast but it worked great together.... I loved it! Also liked that the pork belly was a perfect ratio of lean and fatty meat. If you're going to eat pork belly the fatty ratio needs to be more because that's where all the flavors are. There were one or two burnt pieces but overall their pork belly was perfect. The rice here was also too dry so i didn't eat it but luckily the salad was really good and fresh with the dressing that paired really well with the pork belly. Next time I would probably ask for all salad and no rice since it's less carbs anyway lol. Overall I would definitely come here again because the flavors are authentic, delicious, and the service was great. The reason for 4 stars and not 5 is because I felt the portions were too small for the prices of the meals. Especially the curry. I thought they could have given a bigger portion and the rice for both dishes was hard and dry. Would definitely recommend this restaurant though! read more

Ordered the Honey Pork Belly and it was good! The pork belly was not too fatty and the sauce was not overpoweringly sweet. It helped that the jasmine rice balanced the flavor. I really liked the flavor in this one but it was kind of chewy and hard to eat in some of the fatty areas. I was hoping the meat would've been soft but it wasn't. I had to cut off the fat to be able to eat it easier. Crying tiger steak - I liked this one more. The meat was softer and flavorful too. There was a sauce that added to its flavor as well. Thai tea - the cream made this drink better! Just a heads up that it's really sweet tho since it's Thai tea. Overall the food here was not bad. We came over to this little spot for their grand opening special. Most of the items from their menu were already sold out (which means their food is good!), so we settled for the coconut milk fried chicken. They were able to substitute more salad for rice, which was awesome! Service was great! Brian & Earth were awesome!! Stopped by the Anaheim packing house for dinner and got the honey pork belly from White Elephant. The arugula bae salad was delicious and had great flavor (the arugula also wasn't bitter at all!). The pork belly was also good but extremely fatty (I know pork belly is fatty, but this was fattier than usual). Overall food was good. Parking is terrible though (small lot with lots of people looking for spots) but you can do valet for $6. read more

Covid times review: ordered takeout in person and ate it outside in the outdoor dining area I have been waiting for another option for Thai food in this area. Although it is more Thai fusion/Thai influenced food with a California fresh twist, I was still excited to try this place. Staff were very friendly and the food prep took about 20 minutes. They cook the food right in front of you. I was able to watch someone train the person cooking my food. This place is still very new so I wasn't surprised to see this. I ordered the fried chicken and the honey pork belly. Both came with a side salad and rice. I opted to adjust my salads because all their options had an ingredient that did not seem to pair well with my Thai entree, such as shaved Parmesan, blue cheese, goat cheese, or balsamic vinaigrette. For the price, I was disappointed with the portion size in relation to the taste. The chicken was cooked through and came with a delicious sweet and tangy dipping sauce. I could really taste the subtle note of coconut in the chicken. However, the thick batter became unpleasant to eat because it was soggy with oil and there was just too much of it. I ended up removing it to discover how thin the chicken was underneath. The honey pork was fatty and flavorful but soggy with oil that drenched the rice. It definitely did not look like what was pictured on Yelp. It was nice to try once, but I wouldn't go back again any time soon. We're always at Packing House and would love the opportunity to support this small business in the future. The Pad Thai with chicken is great! But the service isn't. I found the staff to be less kind than other Thai restaurants. I also wish they had a spicy tray like other Thai restaurants! Our first time here... I ordered the Thai Fried Rice with shrimp (spice level 3 as recommended by the cashier when I asked for mild) and hubby ordered Garlic Sesame Salmon. The Thai Fried Rice was just okay. It wasn't the best or the worst I've ever had, but it was freshly cooked, steaming and I was starving! After 3 spoonful I couldn't eat anymore. The spice level 3 recommended by the cashier was way to spicy for me. Take note, spice level 3 does not equal mild! My hubby said his dish (Garlic Sesame Salmon) was mediocre. The salmon was too salty for his taste and dry. It included a kale salad which he said was too bitter. He did like the almond topping on the salad, but that's it! And for $30 the salmon was on the small size so he wouldn't recommend it. We did end up switching plates because I was starving and couldn't eat the fried rice any longer! I ate the salmon and he was right... it was dry and over cooked -- but it had the right amount of seasoning. And I didn't care for the kale salad. He said that the flavor of the fried rice was basic but appreciated the spiciness. His words "spiciness saved the dish!" So overall feedback re the dishes... would we order these two dishes again? Probably not because they were both pretty basic. Not worth the amount we paid for. I was going to order a Thai ice tea, but I noticed a sign at the counter that said if you checked in and leave an honest review that they would give you free Thai ice tea. I asked the cashier about it and she said to redeem the free drink all I would need to do is check-in and show proof that I checked in when I picked up my food. I asked her about leaving the review and she said that the check-in was fine. So I didn't order a drink. When I picked up my food, I show the lady who didn't look happy that I checked-in and wanted to get the free Thai ice tea. She said I would have leave a review and come back and show it to her before they give me the free drink. This was very upsetting... why the hell would I come back (after checking in) to show proof that I left a review just to receive a free drink? Not worth my time. Had I known I would've just order a drink. Never again! The front staff needs to align with the back staff and get their info straight. They're sending mix messages to their customers.
