After my dad's passing I had no idea what to do next... in my emotional state I was given a number to a funeral home. They couldn't give me much information over the phone but that we would have to meet with them to discuss. I found out afterwards that they are required by law to discuss any questions I have so that I may make my own decisions of whom to use. I was referred to White Emerson Mortuary by a friend and I immediately noticed a difference between the two places and decided to go with White Emerson. I believe this was the best decision for my family and I. I worked very closely with Curtis. He was so understanding and so accommodating. He made this very difficult time just a little bit more bearable with his expertise and knowledge. They have everything prepared for u- right down to the little details. He worked with me every step of the way. He also worked within very short time frames, which was just awesome. Words cannot express the gratitude I feel towards Curtis and Annie. They go above and beyond what is expected of any business and I truly appreciate their professionalism. Even after the memorial service, it does not stop there. Our family used this mortuary for the cremation of my mom as well as for her service on June 8. at this facility. From the moment we contacted them We had nothing but top of the line service. They never haggled us for anything and it was clear from the get go that their only goal was to meet our needs on this difficult journey. When they picked up our mom from the house after she passed they had nothing but respect for us during such a difficult day. They treated her body with dignity and throughout all our dealings they walked aside of us willing to comply with any need or request. They are so genuine and we were so pleased by every encounter. Friendly and helpful staff, which is very important when dealing with a mortuary during a time of stress and grief. They made everything simple and smooth, and as customizable as you want. The only area we had an issue was when a friend shipped a floral arrangement direct to the mortuary for delivery the day before the service. For some reason the mortuary would not accept the delivery and my friend had to go through the hassle of having it redelivered one hour prior to the service on the day off. Very inconvenient. One day before should be allowable for people that might be using outside florists. read more

My father was on hospice care and I was able to do some pre-planning for a funeral, visiting 3 area mortuaries. White Emerson was by far the most pleasant, helpful, professional and well kept place we visited. I would not have gone to the other two, which were depressing, and overpriced. When the time came, we ended up having 48 hours to pull together the actual vigil and funeral. Paul was incredible kind, sensitive and professional. We had a vigil in the chapel at their facility, which was perfect. Annie (Paul's sister I believe) was a master at streaming a slideshow with music we had prepared (and kept on a private Youtube channel) , to the big screen in the chapel. I cannot say enough how grateful I was that everything went so smoothly. At the funeral (church service) they were also there promptly, guiding us kindly and handling everything so well. February 8 2016 was the hardest day of my life. I lost my daughter two weeks before my due date. It was and continues to be horrible and painful. I was so lost and heartbroken. When it came time to make decision about her resting place a social worker at the hospital led us to white emerson. Everyone here was incredibly kind and compassionate. Caring and gentle. They handled my daughter with the outmost care and respect. And it made it easier and for myself it gave me a sense of peace. Richard was amazing, every single person we dealt with showed us nothing but kindness. Im glad i came here, I knew my daughter was in great gentle hands. They never saw me or my family as money or even as another day of business. They saw my daughter as a person and some one who mattered. We were very, very happy with our experience with White Emerson. I found their customer service exceptional all the way through. The 2 men they sent to pick up our mother were kind, respectful and truly gracious. Paul was wonderful to work with planning the funeral and handled all the arrangements professionally and with compassion.
