15 years later and we are still extremely happy customers. I have never had a single issue with White Knight. The technicians are always friendly, thorough, professional and prompt, their billing is always correct (And very reasonable, might I add), their owner, Chip, is a wonderful human being (We had termites years and years ago and he personally created a payment plan for us without any interest). I honestly cannot think of a single reason to look at any other pest control company. Their cancellation policy is ludicrous. They don't disclose any of this information when you first sign on and you're left scrambling when you realize what it actually says. The service is $99 bimonthly and if you cancel at any time, their "discount fee" they waive when you sign on is automatically added meaning they charge you an additional $350. So let's say you get one service done the same day you sign up and then you get to reading the reviews online, it's too late: you'll pay $350+$99. Such a scam. read more

I would highly recommend not doing business with this company. I started service in May for bi-monthly routine spray inside and outside of my house. On several occasions they have not made any of the appointments that they set up with me. Also not to mention I was not notified that they wouldn't/ couldn't make these appointments. No email, text or call. I have rescheduled 3 times over the past month, and finally came to the conclusion I no longer want anything to do with this company. Not only did I sit on hold for almost an hour, I was also informed that I would have to pay the full price for my past services due to an early termination of my contract. Long story short I definitely recommend choosing another pest control company. Not only do they lack customer service skills, they also can't complete the simple task of managing/ making the appointments they schedule with their customers. If I could give absolutely ZERO stars I would! Not only have I missed hours of work waiting for pest control, I never received an apology for so many missed appointments! read more

I called and made an appointment, gave them my credit card number and paid for the service ahead of time. They sent me a prep sheet for our flea treatment which was extensive, but necessary. We did everything that was asked. (Picture attached.) NOTE: When you have the treatment done, you family & your animals must leave the house and can't return for 4 hours after the technician leaves.) The following morning, no one showed up. Once I waited 30 minutes, I called to find out where the technician was. I was told my appointment time is at 3:00, so I asked what happened since I was told 9:00am. The person I spoke with said, "oh, I see that. In the comments section, it says 9:00-11:00. The person who scheduled your appointment scheduled it from 3:00 - 5:00, but he must not know how to schedule appointments bc you can't write a different time in the comments. He set it at 3:00." Meanwhile, I am waiting for someone to arrive bc my house is prepped, I have been to the vet, my animals have been treated, and I have an appointment for 2 Great Danes and a sick cat at a pet boarder who closes at 5:00. In other words, I can't board my pets if a tech comes in the afternoon bc it won't be safe for them to return home. I'll save everyone the hassle of reading the remainder of the saga, but here is a bulleted list- *No one came at 3:00. *I called to find out where the technician was, and they told me they would have the tech call me. *He called at 4:30, and said he didn't know why they scheduled a flea treatment at 3 o'clock when he had 4 houses to get to before mine, and that he didn't have time to do a flea treatment. *He called when he was on his way and started asking me ?s about the preparation sheet I received. He asked if we had swept, vacuumed, mopped, done the yard work necessary, and bagged all of the bedding, clothing, & pillows. He continued the interrogation until he arrived. *He arrives and immediately starts pointing out problems. He points to a basket on the dining room table and asked me what it was and why it was there? He walks by the spare bedroom and says, "this room is not ready," and it only got worse from there. *He is there for an hour and My nerves were frazzled, but I could tell he would not leave until I agreed to 4 quarterly payments of $110.00 and goes on and on explaining why it is better than a 1 time fee. I agree to get him out of my house so I can unwind as I prepare to sleep with fleas. Again. *following morning - no one comes. No one can come today or tomorrow. *someone calls about my contract and says it will cost $550. I explain that I agreed to $430, so I am placed on hold. I go back and forth with the sales rep, upper management, and they even call the technician who tells them I lied. I could actually keep going, but suffice it to say that this Company should not be in existence and I am sitting here, 4 days after my initial phone call, I STILL HAVEN't received a flea removal treatment. read more

Stay as far away from these guys as you can. They have you sign a contract and after you satisfy the contract you they still make you call them 30 days in advance to make changes. This way they get an extra months payment for nothing. Their last treatment was the final straw for me and I did not want them at my house again. So I called to cancel and told them I was dissatisfied with the service. They told me I had to pay for another treatment anyway regardless of whether I wanted it or not or whether they came or not. They proceeded to charge me for the future visit that never happened. And then they started harassing me to pay, telling me I had to call them not write. I guess they don't want anything hanging around in writing. I considered going to small claims court but decided to pay them and to leave a personal experience review instead. Terrible company. As soon as you sign up they bombard you with Spam emails, Spam texts, and Spam calls. You complain about it and they do nothing but continue. Then you tell them to cancel your service for not listening to you and then they charge you $251 to cancel for their failures as a company. I am currently coordinating with the BBB and my local District Attorney for fraud as they charged my card after I explicitly informed them they did not have permission to run my card after their failure to provide adequate service. read more

TL:DR They will lock you into a year contract without telling you and then try to charge you $300+ to get out of it. Management prefers to cuss at and hang up on people rather than try to solve problems. Much like the other 1 star (should be 0) reviews. We were tricked into the year contract signing what we thought was a receipt for the initial fee for them to put out their termite traps and spray around our house. They come into new neighborhoods and catch people that are busy moving in and don't explain that the service they offer for around $30 includes a $300+ service for "free" if you stay with them for a year. Though some of these other reviews seem like maybe you can't get away from them even after your first year! we had a tech come out for the next regular visit, but couldn't stay and spray because we were on our way out (they didn't send any contact that they were coming or we wouldn't have made plans), we decided we didn't want to continue with their service and tried to call and cancel. We were told if we did we would owe the $300+ fee for the termite traps and installation. We attempted multiple conversations with management about how we would not be paying for the traps and they were welcome to send someone to come get them. We were cursed and at hung up on multiple times. They were told we would not be paying for services we were not using due to their deceptive trade practices (not fully explaining that you were signing a contract, not just a credit card receipt or appointment confirmation). They told us to pay or be sent to collections. We told them if we were sent to collections, they would be reported to the Comsumer Protection Division of the Office of the Attorney General. read more

Bunch of money hungry crooks in that admin office, especially if you're wanting to cancel. Avoid doing business with them unless you good with overpaying one way or another. In addition to passive aggressive insults by management staff if you get under their skin when calling them out. I was told "I didn't have the capacity to grasp" they're little prorated bait and switch scheme for the monthly payment method. They basically sell you with a flat monthly fee with quarterly service and you can call anytime in between and it's free. Seems that way until you go to cancel. They basically get an activation fee from you and get you again when you cancel to make up their losses. They have also raised cost recently and send an email blaming it on current events including the war in Ukraine. Instead of chocking it up to a rise in cost due to a current crap economy. Finally you never know who you're gonna get. We've had mediocre service from about 1/3 of the techs. You're better off doing it yourself. Consumer beware! read more

I recently relocated to the Austin area and the company that helped me setup the utilities recommended these guys. I wish they hadn't. The technician showed up for the appointment but wouldn't perform the service until I spoke with someone at the office. She was very pushy and pressured me into agreeing to a contract. I specifically asked the technician to target the large ant hills in the backyard right by our porch. He only spent about five minutes spraying the entire exterior and interior of our house. It wasn't much of a surprise when a week later the ants were still there so I called for a follow-up. The customer service representative was very rude but agreed to send someone back out. After another bad experience, I decided to just cancel. They were quick to hit me with a huge cancellation fee. So it turns out... I'm not a princess, this ain't a fairytale I'm gonna find someone someday who might actually kill the bugs well This is a big world, that was a small let down And it's too late for you, White Knight Now it's too late for you White Knight Pest Control to catch me now read more

Angleton, TEXAS This company's rep came to my house and asked my wife if they could perform a one time spray for ants for a 35 dollar charge. She agreed as it needed to be done. 3 days later, I get a call from this pest company and they claimed she signed an agreement and they needed 150 dollars.. I asked my wife did she sign anything, and she said obsoletely not, they guy only had a cell phone with him. The woman from White Knight that I talked with first was nice, and said she understood what happened and that there will only be a 35 dollar charge, which I agreed.. This week, I get a text and said to call a number to finalize the cancellation. I called and White Knight informed me that I owe 344 dollars. Bottom line, their agreement they fraudulently signed with some initials is cancelled I'm out 162 more dollars on top of the original 35 dollars. TWC and the BBB has already been notified with a complaint form. Looking at the BBB reviews of this company, I see I'm not the first, and until legal actions are taken, they will continue to get away with this.. damn thieves.. read more

The #1 reason we didn't even go ahead with our initial service is their name alone. My boyfriend is black and after I spoke with the rep and set up the service, my boyfriend said he wasn't comfortable with their name and didn't want them servicing our house. For reference we live in the south, "The white knights" is also a name of a branch of the kkk. They should highly consider renaming. Also, the sales person was shady and not upfront. He asked that we give the a year to try out, which is understandable, he did NOT say it would be a year contract. I signed what I though was confirmation for our apt, it was a contract. White Knight Pest Control is the worst company I have ever worked with. When you call for service they promise that all your issues will be addressed, both indoors and outdoors. On the two occasions that they came out to my home the technician never knocked on my door and only serviced the outside of my home (so they say). Both times I called the office, and both times the office assured a manager would contact me to address the fact that I was not satisfied with their service, it has been over three weeks and I've yet to be contacted by a manager or anyone for that matter. I have tried to cancel my contract and I am being told I will be penalized if I break the contract. I have express that they have not held up their end of the contract, but they refuse to allow me to cancel any future services without paying a $279.00 penalty. Do not use this pest control company, they truly have the worse costumer service I have ever dealt with! read more

The work was fine, but I chose them because, unlike my previous mosquito control company, they told me there was no contract, no obligation; that I could cancel at any time. I canceled my final appointment for mosquito treatment in October as I was out of state when they wanted to come. They charged my card on file an early cancellation fee. When I spoke to their customer service department, I told them all of this. They agreed I had not signed a contract. The solution they offered was that I go ahead and have one more treatment, which would be the exact price of the early termination fee and I would not be charged for the treatment.I acquiesced to this suggestion, assuming it would be the fastest and easiest solution. My complaint is that they did not stand by their word that there was not obligation and I could cancel without consequence. Very disappointing from that perspective. read more
