Our property management called White Mechanical when our AC unit stopped working and they sent Jerry G to our rescue. He was prompt, honest, and extremely thorough. Although it took a few days for the part to be ordered, Jerry followed through as promised; replaced the broken parts, fixed all the leaks, and re-checked the whole system. I shopped around to replace a 22 year old noisy inefficient 5 ton condenser unit. I checked with a couple of local Heating and Air companies and I wasn't fully convinced as they pushed to sell more than I needed. Contacted Costco about their advertised service knowing that they are not going to use an unreliable company. I was contacted by Gary (#1) from White Mechanical who made an appointment for the next day. He showed up on time listened to what I needed and where I would like it placed. He discussed everything with me including the rebate card I was eligible for being a Costco member. I was then contacted by Heather at the office who had me e-sign the documents and scheduled an appointment. On the day of the installation Gary (#2) and Oscar showed up 5 minutes early for their 8:00 am appointment. They explained to me how the day was going to flow.The guys were we're friendly and polite. They laid protective drop cloths everywhere they need to walk and covered my entire walk in closet and clothes to protect from dust and work being done in the attic. While Oscar worked in the attic, Gary worked in the yard. He needed to assist in cutting away some old hedges to access the old unit and break an old concrete planter border to center the new unit properly Necessary destruction - we are re-landscaping). Finally, they installed a state of the art digital thermostat helped set up the WiFi and app on my phone to control it. They explained, the warranty, maintenance schedule, and the permitting process that had already been handled by their office staff. No complaints, just efficient work to get the job done. They took one 45 minute break all day and put in more than an 8 hour day at my house alone. Both guys cleaned up after themselves and were professional at all times. The new unit is so quiet. We found ourselves in quite a bind the other day when our AC unit completely failed and, with a newborn baby in the house, were in dire need to get a replacement. Steve, their service manager, came out after hours (6:30pm) to diagnose the problem. He then bent over backwards to schedule an install the next day and get the system working again. Their install crew was also impressive, with great attention to detail. As a side note, they are connected with Costco and as a customer, you actually place the order directly with Costco. Chris just replaced our seized fan unit and got our AC back up and running. Very satisfied with the punctuality and professionalism of the visit. The unit was located in a cramped upstairs crawlspace that was at least 100 degrees. Chris was a trooper and didn't even bat an eye when he saw the area he would have to work in. I was pleasantly surprised when I received a text message and phone call from Gabriel telling me he would arrive by 10:00 am. I received an estimate from Bernie and thought I was weird that he gave me a number without checking my condo. It was a very minor issue (furnace not turned on) and instead of hustling me into a service appointment, Steve directed me to turn the furnace on and schedule an appointment if that didn't work. White Mechanical came in at the tail end of it all where, to be honest, I was so over having strangers in my house, that i just wanted it done and over with. Well, Kevin and his crew could not have been more pleasant and enjoyable! I didn't mind a single bit that they were over and working. Kevin and his guys were friendly and professional and very neat and orderly (which is big in my book.. this is my home, be respectful) And 100% they were! Kevin truly was knowledgeable and professional and enjoyable to talk with. From teaching me how to use the new thermostat to replacing the registers to ensuring our furnace doors were in compliance, Kevin exceeded all of my expectations. In checking out our ducts, he saw that they needed repair/replacing and Kevin, with his knowledge, shared pictures and what needed to be done and we didn't feel like we were being gouged with more repairs. I've had the 4 ton Signature system now for a few months and it does everything they said! I got 3 quotes prior to buying from White Mechanical. One was a few hundred dollars cheaper but I went with White Mechanical because they were out a year prior and were very honest with a minor repair to the system that I thought was going to be a major problem. My system was still working but I want the better efficiency and without a problem in the middle of the summer. Installation was done in a day for a complete system change. Charlie found a gas leak in our attic and fixed it without charging anything above their very reasonable service charge. He switched out our filters and did a safety check on our furnace. The furnace is in the attic above our master bedroom so I'm grateful that he took the time to do a proper inspection and find a potentially dangerous problem. With a houseful of pets we leave the A/C on to keep them comfortable in the recent 90+ degree weather. After a long afternoon/evening out and about Saturday, we came home to a closed up uncomfortable hot box. The motor on our unit had seized. Thank goodness for tile floors and fans, our pets were okay. First thing Monday morning I called and Sarah provided an appointment for a tech to come Wednesday between 12-3. Come Wednesday I was running errands about to head home just after 12 when I receive a phone call from our tech Charlie saying he's at our house. Prompt! Awesome! Charlie checks out our unit, replaces the filter and reports a capacitor needs replacing. Can he fix it now? Yes! The thing looked like a metal bubble about to burst. New filter, new capacitor, and our unit puts out air like an arctic wind! Charlie kindly informed us of their low cost maintenance program that we will most definitely be taking advantage of so this will never happen again! After fears of possibly having to replace our unit or being sold unnecessary parts, labor, or more, it was wonderful to deal with a professional tech from a stand up company that we will definitely use again and refer with confidence. read more

We have had them come out six times in the last month and a half to fix the heater at my office. The heat will work for one day and then stop. This company is a complete rip off! With our hard economic times integrity can be hard to come by at times. Fortunately with the help of Yelp reviews I was able to find White Mechanical! Steve was great, he is very professional, friendly and most importantly, very honest. I was dreading the final cost of getting my A/C unit repaired or possibly replaced. Luckily, the final bill was just to be the nominal charge of a service call, $79, which is very reasonable. As it turned out, a darned pincher bug ended up getting stuck in one of the electrical contacts! I watched numerous You-Tube videos on how to trouble shoot an A/C unit and this situation was certainly not covered. Steve was able to clean out the contact and the unit fired up, what a relief! Besides the bug extraction, he also checked the amp draws, the Freon level, hydro-washed the coil and did a general inspection of the unit. He also gave me some good tips and advice on the maintenance of my A/C. Other companies may have been tempted to recommend unnecessary repairs or even replacements. Highly Recommend this company. I found them on Yelp! I read the reviews on Damien and was lucky enough to have him show up at my house. Fixing your HVAC system can be a very stressful experience. Sometimes as bad as calling a plumber or buying a car. Damien was very knowledgeable and walked me through the entire process. He was able to find the problem with my AC unit in a matter of minutes. He walked me through the problem by showing me how he found it and how he would fix it. He had all the parts he needed and had my system up and running very quickly. And I do mean quickly! He almost runs to and from his truck not to waste time. This company is now on my contacts list! I will have them out this winter to work on my heater! White Mechanical came to my rescue on Thursday and Friday, July 23-24, 2015. Southern CA is in a many week heat wave and I needed my air running to keep house bearable. For a day or my air wasn't keeping the house very cool. Finally on Thurs aft I turned the unit off and tried calling a couple of repair firms I'd used before. No Luck. I looked at Yelp and found White Mechanical. The receptionist, Sarah, was calm and helpfu, but had no appointments open that day. She checked for cancellations - alas none. She sounded empathetic, could I wait while she checked for the next day. She had good news: an appointment open was the next morning from 7-9 am. At 7:15 am technician, Charlie, arrived. He was friendly, had a positive attitude and was ready to look at my air conditionng unit. He went right to work and found that my filter needed cleaning and could have shut the unit down. He found dampness around the filter edge, also a symptom of the unit shutting off before the clogged filter causes freezing up of the indoor part of the unit. So he removed the dirty filter and immediately turned on the unit releasing glorious cold air into the house. In less than 30 minutes, he had checked the unit, found it was low on freon. With added freon and some leak fix substance, my air was good and needed only a new filter to keep it running well. In less than 24 hours, White Mechanical booked my service appt, came, fixed my air conditioner and got me cool air - in the middle of a heat/humidity wave. read more

Where do I start, so grateful for White Mechanical today ! Our air conditioning unit broke down yesterday just in time for this heat wave we are experiencing. With a new baby at home and a house that was nearly 85 degrees, we were desperate to find someone to come help fix our unit. I called almost 10 places and no one could make it out until next week. I went to Yelp to find A reputable AC Repair facility. It's the first time doing so since moving to Southern California. With great feedback, I called White Mechanical and although I had to wait 4 days for our appointment, it was worth it! Although Steve arrived slightly later than the service window scheduled, I understand how those things go. Steve was respectful, methodical, informative and honest. At one point I asked for his perspective on changing to a new unit and he said he didn't think I needed it! I value that. AC repair is never cheap.
