Such a sweet cafe! The menu is limited, but very tasty. The options for dietary restrictions are very helpful when visiting with friends who are gf, veg, dairy free. Parking in the front, delicious pastries and sweets, sandwiches were delicious and beautiful, interior was cozy and had tables for groups and they have a bookshelf of free books where you can find a book to peruse while you eat! ( Hopefully you will follow the suggestion to donate per book to the local library.) It was very convenient to stop here while doing the Canby Farm Loop and it's a great place to eat before wine tasting in the area. Wine tasting opens at 12 or 1 at many surrounding places so this is great for a pre visit meal or to bring with you on your visit to the wineey for an al fresco picnic. read more

Where do I start? I walked in 40 minutes before closing, yet everything was already packed away and they were ready to close for the night. The teenage workers sighed with anger as the bell rang for the door opening. The lady that took my order looked like one of the villains from the cinematic masterpiece, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World. She looked flustered as she asked us what we wanted. We had a hard time deciding between the two sandwiches they offer so we had to take a minute to think it over. I eventually just opted for a coffee; I wasn't too hungry. The lady hesitantly took my order and I waited patiently for my white chocolate peppermint mocha. After I got it, I said thank you and made my way back to the car. I took one sip and let me tell you, I'd rather eat a handful of dirt rather than this, although truthfully I wouldn't be able to tell the difference. I hope the trashcan likes the flavor of compost, cause that's what it's gonna get after I throw this poor excuse for a coffee away. read more

When I asked the almighty Yelp Gods what I should have for lunch while heading up the I-5 they told me to give White Rabbit Bakery a try even though it was slightly off the beaten path. I loved the pictures of the sandwiches and am glad we stopped here. My boyfriend and I ordered the herbivore sandwiches. The sandwiches were prepared quickly and came with heaping amounts of veggies and on soft, warm bread that they bake right there! I was very impressed with the freshness of the sandwich and even though the inside leaves a little to be desired when it comes to decor, the place itself is cute and simple. Unfortunately none of the pastries in the case called to me so I left empty handed dessert wise. If you're in the area I recommend giving this place a try. You can park right up from which is convenient but on a busy weekend it might fill up fast. read more

Interesting little bakery in an interesting little town. Fun fact, I wikied Aurora out of curiosity and it was originally founded as a religious commune. We came here around noon on a Sunday. There isn't a huge selection of baked goods, but the marionberry sour cream muffin we ordered was perfect. So perfect that I'm going to try to make something like them when I get home. We even got a few extras to take home for our daughters. The sandwiches were very good. I ordered the pastrami sandwich. I love that it wasn't stacked with a ridiculous amount of pastrami. I like to taste the sandwich as a whole and not just pastrami. It had sweet onions on it that I wasn't a fan of. It didn't go well with all of the great flavors of the sandwich. But once I scraped them off the second half I enjoyed the sandwich a lot more. My wife ordered the chipotle tba and said it was very good. read more

This place is really something special. They have both GF and dairy free as well as regular baked goods. Their sandwiches are wonderful with fresh bread. There is always something different they've made so it can be hard to find the exact same thing again. The eating area is quaint and nice but it can get a little echo if too many folks are there. This is a great stop if you're in Aurora. They also make cupcakes and birthday cakes to order though I have not tried that option. Very friendly staff and you can tell there's a lot of care put into the food. Love to take all my family with our many good issues! read more

We have been over charged many times and had a kid trying to pocket money at the register (more than once!!!). Keep track.. They rarely have gluten free options available and we were told because they don't sell well. We've order sandwiches and it's usually incorrect with cheese added or not using gluten free bread. My review is simply on service and availability of options. Just double check your funds being charged, call ahead for available food made and always check your food before you leave with a to go order. read more

This is a wonderful place to hang out, get a bite, or a cup of really good coffee. I love the sandwiches and the sauces are very unique. The White Rabbit has a local feel and many locals. It is also a stopping place for people in town shopping for antiques. All the staff is friendly and they have some comfy chairs and a couch to sit on. I love love the gluten free scone chocolate chip scone. They have vegan options too I recommend the vegan chocolate chip cookie. read more

This spot will become a regular stop for lunch when taking Hwy 99 back from the beach or Eugene! They have wonderful sandwiches and delicious treats! Really neat building from the outside. We were less impressed on what they've done on the inside. The case of baked goods was rather sparse. We had a scone and it was ok. Thought about having lunch but the prices seemed really high (about $10 for a sandwich). And the food options were relatively boring sounding. The best local bakery and I had no idea they were located so close to the in-laws in Canby. I first tried a WR scone in August when I had gotten iced tea at "The Place to Be Cafe". It wasn't until this trip that I found out that most of the pastries sold at the best coffee house (actually the best place in Canby period) came from a bakery located just down 99 in Aurora. One morning, after meeting with Jen for early coffee at "our place" in Canby, I followed her to the bakery while she was on her way to work. The place itself is really cute, and was decorated for the holidays. When we walked in, Emily (the owner/baker) was busy rolling out some delicious looking dough. Jen ordered a galette to go and I chose 4 marion berry muffins (gluten free and maybe vegan but I did not share this with the family), an apple cranberry square for my MIL, and a large cinnamon roll for Kevin. I also perused the good for sale including some really cute figurines, aprons, jewelry, etc. It is the kind of place that locals, visitors, hippies, hipsters and just about anyone would feel comfortable. I said goodbye to Jen, thanked Emily and drove back to Canby. Everyone loved what I brought home. My MIL loved the apple cranberry bar (as did all the dogs since she can't eat anything without sharing), Kevin really liked his cinnamon roll but deemed it too huge (he still ate the whole thing) and those who wanted a muffin really liked them and had no clue they were gluten free. The muffins had icing on them which threw me off at first but with the tartness of the marion berry, the icing made it a perfect muffin. I can't wait to come back! I saw the 5 stars on Yelp and recommended to husband we stop for a "breakfast" sandwich on our way to the woodburn outlet mall. I should have read the reviews first. We enter the bakery, one person ahead of us was paying for coffees, one other person in the entire joint. A nice man quickly takes our order for turkey bacon breakfast sandwich and a ham and cheese breakfast sandwich. Then he leaves to I assume make our sandwiches and I wait at the counter for the lady at the register to ring us up. I wait. And wait. She completely ignores me. Makes coffee, tidies up, never once made eye contact, and walked about 5 inches from me as she walked into the kitchen and proceeded to carry on a conversation with the staff back there. I was standing there all by myself, credit card in hand for over five minutes waiting for her to notice me. Nada. After 10-15 minutes of husband and I sitting in the empty restaurant, I finally get up and go find out if they had to get the eggs from the chickens at the farm next door or what, and saw a lady putting them on plates. Well by this time it's way to freaking late for that, so I say can you please make those to go. She says sure, it takes another five minutes for her to wrap them in foil. I ask for an "amazing" cinnamon roll and a gluten free donut of some kind, they looked good in the case. $15 later and we finally get out of there. At this point we're so fed up we're hoping the food redeems this place. The "breakfast" sandwich has MAYONNAISE on it. Seriously, who does that?? It has some weird egg product on it, it was NOT an egg, I swear. Then it has some kind of cold cut ham and turkey, straight out of a Hillshire Farms package from Safeway. There's one piece of bacon and it's fatty and disgusting. We both hate mayonnaise but we're starving so we pick apart this sandwich and eat what we can but it's almost inedible. We still have hope. We have a cinnamon roll and a donut left. The cinnamon roll inside is fine, nothing "amazing" about this thing though, I've made better at home. The outside is crunchy and has no flavor. The donut is so sweet I think I got a cavity eating it. The texture is like a whipped egg with some sweet cream in the inside. Strike THREE. I absolutely cannot recommend this restaurant at all for either their service or their food. Maybe the great reviews on here come from lunch? It's certainly not from their breakfast or the majority of their slow, unfriendly staff. read more

They offer a mostly gluten free menu with donuts, cinnamon rolls that you canNOT tell are GF; pastries, breads, quiche, and they make amazing breakfast sandwiches and lunch sandwiches. Aurora, Oregon is not the kind of place you'd expect to drive through and stumble upon sophisticated food finds. Sure, amidst the quaint antique malls and charming farmhouses, there may be an ex-Texas diner fry cook serving up hash worthy of a Diners, Drivers and Dives visit. Or maybe a sweet granny spicing legendary fried chicken with a blend she's taking to her grave. White Rabbit Bakery, however, seems as though it got lost on the way to NE Ainsworth and decided to settle its roots in alien territory, like an orchid in the tundra. Gluten-free cookies and bacon-topped "Swine-Amon" rolls? Are we really five miles from Canby?? The interior of the coffee shop and scratch bakery (no Galaxy Desserts or Mostly Muffins in sight!) is full of whimsical reminders of its namesake, and a modern Victorian feel. The moment you walk in the door you're face-to-face with a mad world of tempting patisserie. I ordered a White Chocolate Raspberry scone and caramel latte to go, because I had this work thing to get to (huh? We have to work for a living? Boo...). Carrying the giant pyramid of scone into the car, I figured I'd be throwing most of it away for sure. That's until I starting eating it. Scones generally have a pretty bad rap for being dense, dry dough pucks. And rightfully so. Have you ever gotten one of things from Starbucks in desperation for a breakfast fix? I know, it's not a decision we're usually proud of in retrospect. This fresh, still oven-warm pastry was (correctly) crusty on the outside, but inside, the soft, airy dough was the perfect cross between cake and biscuit. That lightness and flakiness is something that will not survive a freeze. Stained with the fresh, sweet raspberries, it reminded me of the Fischer's fresh-baked scones I was treated to at the Puyallup Fair once a year as a kid. Just bigger, better, and with far less carnies. The owners are the sweetest people you'll ever meet. Although it makes it easy to come back and support them when everything is so delicious, wholesome and reasonably priced. I'm holding out for the day a chef from Aurora is nominated for the James Beard award. Until then, I'm just rejoycing the return of the SCONE. read more

Stopped in for lunch and ordered the chipotle TBA sandwich. Sounded so delicious! Was a little disappointed though. I'm not gluten free, but they only had gluten free bread left, and the bread was somehow glutinous and dry at the same time. The insides of the sandwich were great! Except they forgot the tomato. Would try again if I knew they would have regular (non GF) bread. Very cute inside the bakery. read more

We stopped here on our way to the Portland airport for a quick lunch. We were greeted with a limited menu and surly teenager. Despite being a bakery there didn't seem to be that many baked goods on offer which was a bit disappointing. My husband and I shared a roast beef sandwich and I will say that the bread was pretty good. The sandwich as a whole was pretty simple. Overall, I wasn't too impressed with our visit here and would not recommend White Rabbit. read more

Ahhhhhh! That's not a scream, its the sound of angels singing. They're singing in my mouth with each bite of Turkey Bacon Avocado sandwich I eat. I have a few of my coworkers turned on to this place now, they all had the same reaction. I don't think I'm gonna tell anyone else about it though, the lines will get too long. A good portion of their baked case has vegan and gluten free choices. I've tried one or two, I'm not a big fan of vegan/gluten free baked goods but what I've tried has been the best. Having relocated out in to farm country, I was happy to find this tiny bakery a few minutes from our new home. I have been through a few times now and everything has been spot on. They have awesome cinnamon rolls and breakfast sandwiches. They even have gluten free options. One thing to keep in mind with the breakfast sandwiches, the "turkey bacon" is actualy turkey and bacon, not bacon made of turkey. My wife was surprised when she got her sandwich, but it was still very good. read more

We stopped in here with our two little boys after a long day at the pumpkin patch up the road. It was well past their normal lunchtime and we were all bordering on hangry. The 3 year old desperately wanted a peanut butter sandwich, but they didn't have a kids menu. We asked the man behind the counter if he could make one and after he thought about it for a second he said those magical words, "Yes, I think I can do that." He thought about what alternative bread he could use since all their sandwiches come on herb focaccia. He really put some effort into it and my kids got a delicious pb & sliced apple sandwich. They devoured the yogurt parfait as well. My husband had the Italian, which was gone before I thought to ask for a bite. I had something with ham, gouda, and apple that was delicious. The focaccia is so good, not at all heavy. We felt like the prices were very reasonable considering the quality of the meal. But I will never forget that man who decided that he could make something off-menu to please my child. Kindness like that will get you very far in my book. read more
