just a terrible experience overall with this place. and the owner somehow made me feel like i'm being the unreasonable one. i paid out of pocket to get my door, which was dented due to me scraping my wife's side view mirror, fixed and repainted in 2024 when i was living in whittier. ended up seeing when i brought it home that the paint was missing in some places (some pinholes where the metal was still visible) and also some lint stuck in the paint (see pics). obviously wasn't happy, so i brought it back and the manager at the time, Orlando, agreed to repaint it. I wasn't the nicest about how I conveyed my discontent, and I own that. The owner, Tony, made it a point to say i'm just a picky guy which kind of pissed me off, but I honestly don't know one person that would be okay with paying for a sloppy paint job. well, fast forward to now, roughly 2 years later, and i see rust spots forming under the window trim and 2 chips in the paint under the TUNDRA badge where there's clearly another layer of white paint underneath. it seems to me that, instead of repainting, they buffed the problem areas and sprayed over the initial paint job. Well, the office manager, Cesar tells me to bring my truck on the weekend. i end up having to push to the following weekend. I drop my truck off, pay $80 to Uber home to the IE, and Tony calls me Monday afternoon to basically tell me he doesn't know why Cesar told me to bring the truck in and that i was a pain for coming back to him with my complaints back in '24, and that he wasn't going to do anything for me. he told me to come pick up the truck and hung up on me. keep in mind Cesar had over 2 weeks between when I first talked to him and when I brought my truck in to talk to Tony. anyways, I paid another $80 to uber there and pick up my truck and we're cordial to each other. he tells me how he buffed the rust stains off and added touch up paint to the chips so I don't get more rust. i'm over it so I grab my key and take off. they talk about how their work is guaranteed, but it wasn't for me, so be warned. the only place on that entire truck that has rust spots and chipped paint is where Whittier Collision 2 did work. read more

Went to 3 local Whittier body shops and Whittier Collision Center 2 gave me the most reasonable pricing. Tony is the owner and I really felt like he's trying to earn your business, build a relationship, and do a great job (they offer a lifetime warranty on their work). Leo, his son, is the main administrator and he's the one you'll mostly correspond with. He's very responsive and easy to speak with. Maybe because he's younger but he seems to know "hacks" on how to optimize your insurance plan so you can really utilize all the funds available and minimize any out-of-pocket expenses. In the past, I took my car to one of my Dad's friends that was suppose to "hook me up" and they ended up doing pretty crap work: bumper glued on and misuse/excessive use of bondo which ultimately led to the side panel cracking. Tony's crew was able to fix all of that too and now my car is looking NICE. I would definitely come back for any future work! read more

About 2 weeks ago, my driver side mirror was shattered by a transient. It was a really disappointing incident as I figured the cost for replacement would be through the roof! Whittier Collision Center #2 really came through with an original Lexus mirror, and the cost for installation was really amazing! Well this review is way overdue. After you read this message you will understand. I came in first to see about some damage on my right back quarter panel and they gave me a very good estimate. Unfortunately I was involved in an accident and first thought was to go to Whittier Collision Center 2 because they are very nice and good customer service goes along way. So I left my vehicle with them and they encouraged me to use their rental car agency and that was fine. When I came to pick up my car about 3 weeks later first I noticed that the paint didn't match the original. Also the driver's side window trim seems to be lifted because a clip might be broken. This is a 2020 Toyota Camry. Orlando told me that give it sometime the paint will fade to the original color. He mentioned over and over again that I have a lifetime warranty on it. So I'm giving only a 3 star rating at this time but I willing to change it when I see if they will correct the issue I have. Both Tony and Orlando are very nice guys. But I'm not happy with the paint match. I look forward to speaking with either Tony or Orlando. read more

I brought my mom's car in and Orlando the manager took care of everything he dealt with the insurance adjuster and saw that the car was finished in a timely manner, he is very professional and gives great customer service, he tries his best to accommodate your needs and see that you leave happy with the work done on your car, their paint jobs have a life time warranty which is a BIG plus. So last year during Sept 2017 I was hit by a car, asked a few friends if they could recommend a body shop and this was one of them. But it turned out to be a horrible idea. They took a lot longer than planned to fix my car and it took multiple times of bringing my car back to get it to an ok level and mind you this was a leased vehicle, and had to turn it in and possibly get charged because it was never truly fixed. The first time I picked up my car I noticed it still had dust and debris from them working on it, and even a pretty large drop of paint that one of the managers tried to down play. I then drove the car to seal beach to run an errand I parked my car walked away and when I returned I found the lock cylinder and cover where the lock was attached to the door was hanging off and not even properly attached to the door. When I took the car back the owner apologized blaming a "New Guy" for things not being right. Also the manager that I was dealing with was checking out the car and snapped the back cover of the door handle right off the car with no effort(picture 1,2). I then pointed out that they hadn't fixed a few things they said they were going to fix and I asked them to fix a few things that were not part of the accident but I figured why not ask them to fix those things for wasting my time and having to bring my car back. So they took my car for a week or so and I got my car back. The manager I was dealing with was nice enough to drop off my car at work. I looked over the car and noticed a few things that were not done. The guy gave me another story and said to bring my car back before I turn in the car and he would give me a great deal on anything that needs to be fixed plus what they missed. By this time I was not happy at all. So I just let it go and figured I'd see what the dealer said and if they said I needed to fix anything on the car that should have been fixed in the accident I would take it back. But before I turned in the car this last July I noticed the bumpers were coming apart from the rest of the car. So I took my car back to Whittier collision, talked to the owner and he said he would make things right so I left my bumpers and I told them about a missing cover on the door that they never ordered before even though I asked them to and they ordered it this time. I also pointed out that the rear door they replaced had a bad bend on the bottom of the door and the owner told me if they bent it back they would have to paint the whole side of the car. I was like so what. I then told them if the dealership didn't notice or charge me then I wouldn't be asking for them to fix it because you had to really look at the car to notice the bend it the bottom of the door. So the dealer had a guy look at my car so I could know if I needed to do anything to my car before turning it in. He looked over the car and said everything look fine. He then checked out the paint job with a little device that could tell how good of a paint job was on the car. He went around the whole car and asked me if the left side was repainted. I then told him the car was in a accident and was fixed and repainted. He said that the paint job looked good but that his device could tell it wasn't. I asked him if I needed to do anything to the car before I turned it in he said it was good to go. A few weeks later I received a letter about what his test found and it said the repair was poor. So even if your car looks fine these guys just don't really do a good job. I would never give them my business again and I warn anyone not to trust them. They might seem nice but they're in such a rush they just don't do a good job. Even though they say their work is guaranteed you don't want to have to keep taking your car back just so you can get them to fix everything that should of been fixed the first time. read more
