Zero star, mansplainer, unacceptable and intolerable. -----Called for hardwood flooring color match (this material is from several yrs ago & I wanted a simple color match) and was asked to come in with the sample that this would be the best way to match my current flooring. Sounded fine, took a day off to drive over an hr to find a color match fr their inventory. I was quite excited. However, where was the guy on the phone? They told me one thing then some dudes looked at me as if wondering what I was doing at the store. I was met with one guy who told me to go to the front of the store. No hello, no may I help you. Nothing. This place is in a garage area attached to an office space, a bit confusing to get into. At the 'front' which is actually inside the garage like space, I was met with dude number 2 as he asked to see the sample then acted as if I brought in some impossible thing. Again, no hello. What I found strange was not only the complete lack of friendliness but how he appeared hassled and to get me out of the place - I actually had to ask if I could look around. He told me the best thing to do is to leave the sample so he could do the matching and I'd have to come back another day, I didn't like this response in so many ways. I wanted to do the color matching, I wanted to see the materials myself. By this point, I asked if I could walk around to find a color match. True to his unfriendliness, he says 'stay on this aisle' - Sorry? there were about 4 aisles and he tells me to stay on one area. (What the hell is that Alex? Now that you posted a reply let me ask you directly. ) Again, I recommend you go elsewhere, I don't know who these guys deal with, but it isn't a customer like me, I am not sure who would use this place. I bought my Wickham hardwood flooring. The salesperon recommended the brand for solid wood oak flooring because the boards were long (we requested this) and we could have the finish we wanted. I don't know if they just didn't know or didn't care, but majority (70%+) of boards were shorties (12-18") in each box. They referred me to the distributor who said that was the spec, so I was misled. This resulted in increased cost for installation and a huge pile of waste of short boards. If I can give zero I would. The worst and irresponsible store ever. First their floor quality is horrible. I got cracks and epoxy falls off after installation. After talking to them, they said in the phone that it's my fault by using water clean and the floor must be damaged by something fall on it. But the user manual on the official website of the brand says to use water clean for regular use and special floor cleaning for period cleaning. And of course nothing falls on it. They just want to push all the responsibility to the buyer by saying it's all your fault. Second, There are two lengths for the floor, I called in to purchase additional longer board two weeks ago and got invoice through email. And the floor delivered is the short version. Then I request to switch to the longer one. And they won't admit that I requested for the longer one. I spent over 32K on all the floors and didn't get any customer service or warranty. All I get from them is IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT. Don't go to this store. Never been dealing with this kind of worst situation with any other re-sellers. read more

Whoa, was I wrong about these guys. Extremely disappointing. After delivery, the problems began. First, we noticed that our order of wood came up short. They first tried blaming me, but ultimately admitted to taking wood from our order to fabricate the nosings that would be used for my installation. To their credit, they did reimburse me for the product that they took from my order. However, those same nosings were defective and when I called to ask them to fix, they sent the individual who fabricated them to assess the issue. At the time, only 2 or 3 of them were having issues. Unsurprisingly, he decided the issue was with their installation, not fabrication. Months later, 13 of the 14 nosings are various stages of falling apart and they refuse to refund me. Don't do business with Whole Wood. You will regret it. read more

Be careful of what you're buying! I spent close to $9K on the Acacia Walnut Hardwood for a small square footage. As my contractor was installing the hardwood, his team discovered that close to half of the wood pieces were NOT made of a hardwood material. Half of the pieces are heavier, granier, denser and more textured hardwood; others are lighter, uniform in color and texture, smoother pieces that feel more like plywood. We purchased what we thought was really high quality wood from them. When we went to install it, the material was defective. That's ok - things happen. But the reason for the one star is how they handled it. We were kept in dark most of time with no updates or even assurances that we will be taken care of. From the point we told them we had defective material their tone changed to zero communications and even made us figure it out with the manufacturer. We got zero help or even a sorry from them. Even after the refund was issued by the manufacturer the number of days it took for us to get the check was insane. Overall from the moment we told them that we had defective material to when we got our check it was multiple months and with zero follow ups or apologies. They will say all good things before your payment, once you paid it's out of their business and good luck with what you get! Purchased the most expensive mirage solid maple wood floor here, noticeable gaps (large enough to insert name card) and different wood thickness. More expenses occurred b/c of this but they don't want to provide any coverage for it. They consider GAPS and DIFFERENT DEPTH ARE NORMAL!! If you experience that, it's weather's fault or your own fault. They are trying to convince us that we should directly deal with mirage representative, and whole wood cannot do anything. But mirage representative said the opposite. Now my project is delayed, more expenses occurred (we choose mirage floor b/c of no chemical emission, to get prepared for our upcoming baby, but now we have to use chemical materials to take care of the gaps, and have to purchase expensive air purifier to absorb chemical emissions) Worst experience ever!
