The Obama noodle dish was really good. However I got it "to go" and received the wrong item which I realized after I went home. I went back and told them they gave me the wrong order. The young lady at the counter explained that I pointed to the wrong menu item when I ordered. I realized SHE WAS RIGHT! I made the mistake. When she gave me the Obama dish she apologized even though it was my fault. Very nice of her to be so gracious. So classy. I'll visit this restaurant again. read more

I had the Fried Tofu Noodle, and I think I'm hooked! It was one of the dishes in their vegetarian selection and comes with vegetarian fish sauce. The dish was beautifully presented and appetizing. The chef was considerate enough to put the peanuts on the side in case I had a peanut allergy. My favorite part of the dish were the eggrolls. I would order those eggrolls on their own as an appetizer dish. The other pieces of tofu were also delicious and varied in texture and flavor. The vegetables were very fresh and the noodles were cooked perfectly. I definitely plan on coming back. I want to try their other vegetarian options, but the Fried Tofu Noodle dish is so good that I would be happy just eating that again! Had to come try the Lobster and scallop pho - totally worth it! Pretty much an entire lobster in your bowl, a couple of scallops, pho (of course) and the broth was really good. This restaurant recently opened 2 months ago, and my coworkers and I decided to stop by here for lunch. It gives off a hipster vibe and the workers are exceptionally friendly! They serve the food on these bamboo platters, which is awesome. The food had great presentation. I had the oxtail pho, which was ok nothing special but it wasn't bad either. Came in 30 minutes before closing on a wednesday (sorry!!!!) but i was so excited to try this place! Only had two tables when we arrived, but it was 8:30 pm on a weeknight so I didnt expect it to be packed. The staff was very nice and helpful and I did not feel like I was being rushed to order/eat/pay once it was nearing closing time at 9:00. Loved the aesthetic!!!!! Nice open dining room easy to see where everything is (ie. Bathroom, cashier, garbage, etc). I loved the white tile and the red accents they had going on. It is based on a Vietnamese Street Food vibe. The only thing I didnt like was that it was very very warm inside, I dont think they have an AC system since it is fairly new, hopefully they will get it soon since its nearing rhe summer and no one wants to eat hot pho in a hot restaurant! Even the food was aesthetically pleasing! And isnt that what we all love!!!! Great for foodie pictures. It tasted great, the fish sauce was perfect and it was a largely portioned amount, definately bigger than I expected. We had the Shrimp Mango Salad to start and it was freaking amazing. The balance of flavors with the texture of perfectly cooked shrimp was awesome. I actually woke up thinking about it this morning. I had the Obama noodles and my boyfriend had the pork belly tofu noodle. My dish was flavorful, filling and a would order again. The pork belly tofu was good with an interesting sauce but we both expected a different type of pork belly (this pork belly was most similar to Japanese char sui). Also had a mango milk tea that was so tasty. Oh my gosh I love this place and I am so happy that they opened back up after Covid! The coveted Jewel. Today We ordered Obama vegetarian vermicelli and wicked vegetarian vermicelli. They're both very delicious and packaged with the banana leaf so that it wouldn't ship through the compostable packaging. The tofu was really well seasoned. We had three rows are also delicious. It's been quite a long time that I haven't had chance to taste my hometown food (Hanoi) and I'm super excited when I heard about this place serving Hanoi food. First arrive, a hugeeeee plus for the parking lot, which has plenty of space (parking has always been a thing for me lol). The restaurant looks pretty nice with modern style, clear glass window to enjoy the street view. The menu doesn't have a lot of dishes like other Vietnamese restaurants, but still enough variety to not get bored of the food. I like it that way since I won't have trouble deciding what I am gonna have. So I end up ordered Bun Cha Obama, Cha Ca La Vong and Com Ga Hai Nam for the entree, also Xoi xoai (mango sticky rice) for dessert. I loved them all and Bun Cha was the best among 3 main dishes. It really satisfied me for the crave of Bun Cha Hanoi and I'm more than happy that they finally bring it to Seattle. Also, waitresses were super nice. Definitely I will come back for more! read more

Had the vegetarian spring roll, oxtail pho and hubby had the Obama plate. We also shared a mango milk shake as well. Food was delicious and portion size was bigger than expected (always a plus in my book). Reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was because the mango shake was a little too icy for my taste. It closes earlier than business hours, I stopped at 8:45 one day, the open light turned off so I didn't get in. The tea cup is dirty. They put the utensils inside paper bag which looks fancy, but I think they reuse it because mine have several dots of oil and water. Sometimes they have smog inside restaurants. I used to live on Capitol Hill but now I live on the south end and this is the best Vietnamese restaurant around other than Lee's Deli on the corner of Othello and Martin Luther King. Both are really great however Wicked Chopstix has a better lunch and dinner selection for sit down. The mango tapioca pudding is the best dessert ever! You got to try it... Only served in the summer!
