More than a year ago I was given a certificate as a gift for wicked good cupcakes . I have celiac disease and my Daughter researched they did a fine job with gluten free cupcakes. When I went to place an order I was told they were not making gf cupcakes. I got in touch every few months in hopes they would start making gf cupcakes again. Now they are making gf cupcakes again. Unfortunately, the link that has a filter for gf cupcakes they gave me doesn't work for gf cupcakes . When I brought this to their attention they said the link was fine and working but again the filter for gf cupcakes does not work. I have no way to order . I am totally frustrated and not sure if it is worth all the bother but for my daughter spending money for the gift. everyone is nice enough but it's been a year and no cupcakes. Big bummer read more

I am giving it a 4 instead of a 5 because of the price, and the fact that although some of the flavors we have tried were AWESOME, others were not so much. We tried the Wicked Good (peanut butter chocolate chip cake and peanut butter frosting), the chocolate salted caramel cupcake jar, and the gluten free flourless chocolate and peanut brownie jar. To our surprise, the gluten free flourless one was our favorite! The brownie was super fudgey and rich which we loved and the peanut butter frosting was rich and flavorful but not too heavy. Unfortunately the salted caramel chocolate jar was not as much of a hit- it just tasted a little blander and not as moist, and was a little fake tasting. The Wicked good was definitely wicked good though! It had the perfect amount of chocolate chips in the cake and the peanut butter frosting with the chocolate ganache was out of this world. Was in the Boston area so we decided to try out this novelty item because like most of you, we saw the hype on Shark Tank. We went in on June 19th around 5 pm and picked up a jar of Red Velvet and a jar of Cookies and cream because how can you go wrong with those two right? First, there was a rude female worker, typical young 20's type who look annoyed that she actually had to ring up an order as it took time away from her watching videos on her iPhone, no big deal, hiring jerks never works out in the long run. Second, the cupcakes themselves were indeed dry like many have said, they try to mask it with a jar filled with a ton of frosting but at the end of the day it is what I stated above, a novelty item because of The Tank, something you try once to say you did then you realize, hey, this really is a below average product at an above average price, each jar as about $8 after tax. i am going to write this review in all caps! i do not recommend wicked good cupcakes to anyone!! co-workers, friends and family. i am very disppointed in the company! i ordered the cupcakes online for my son's birthday since we live miles apart. fedex delivered the box and put it in front of my son's apartment door. fedex took a photo of the box, it was delivered. when my son got home from his birthday dinner, the box was gone. he asked the front office, neighbors, etc... i called customer service and they said oh well, nothing we can to since it was delivered, very rude tone of voice. i even said i wanted to order cupcakes for my daughter's birthday. she did not even give me a discount on my next order or a credit, nothing. i am so sad :(. very, very disappointed customer, allison woods. read more

Yum yum yum yum! Wicked Good Cupcakes are wicked good! Seriously! Now all of you probably realize this is the infamous cupcake in a jar or should I say two cupcakes in a jar shown on Shark Tank and invested by Mr. Wonderful himself, Kevin O'Leary. I think Kevin made an excellent choice. Went to Faneuil Hall two years ago to locate my weakness and found them. Although I thought the big cut out of Mr. Wonderful was fun, the cupcakes themselves are remarkably good without the wonderful bald man standing next to the display. Recently, I happened to run through Faneuil Hall. I couldn't resist I had to get two cupcakes...one carrot cake and one red velvet. Of course this doesn't really help me with my summer goal of losing 10 pounds but this is what I mean about how good these cupcakes are. I'm weak... I can't resist. If you have never tried one, I really recommend getting one and shipping one to Mom. I ordered some cupcakes for my sons birthday and they arrived on time, the packaging was pretty. The lady I spoke with when I called into the store was super Duper nice. The reason I'm giving this three stars is that the cupcake really wasn't that good. The red velvet did not taste like red velvet cake and wasn't that good. I don't know if they dye chocolate red (like a lot of bakeries do) but that's not how to make red velvet cake. I was very excited about tasting it after watching shark tank and marveling at how cool it is to have a cupcake in a jar. Once I got past the cool packaging and a pretty delivery....the bottom line is the taste just wasn't that great. Negative reviews are not posted on wicked good cupcakes website. Our family was not impressed with their cupcakes. My son purchased a mix of their cupcakes and the "s'mores" had no marshmallow layer. He called their customer service number and was told that another customer had the same complaint. Well they sent two replacement cupcakes and just like the first order, they arrived in jars, but not packed with dry ice or anything that would insure their freshness. The cake is so dry and crumbly, it literally falls off the spoon like sawdust, making a mess. It is also relatively tasteless, and it just tastes stale overall, perhaps because the lids are not sealed tight. For many of the flavors the layers of heavy frosting way overpower the little cake particles. I tried three separate monthly shipments before posting a review because I wanted to give it a sufficient chance and thought that I might have just experienced an isolated bad or old batch. Such a great idea! I love being able to just put a lid on my jar if I don't want to finish my entire cupcake. I had the oreo and cookie butter cupcakes and both were moist and had the perfect amount of sweetness! I enjoyed them both but they were just a little expensive for a cupcake. I need to preface this review by saying I am a past customer and they do make yummy cupcakes, but, so do many other similar type businesses as a result of their success. That is where my compliments end! I tried VERY HARD to place an order with WGC but had some questions regarding a 20% off FLASH coupon I received, along with some pricing questions, as this this was a 50 jar order. Since they do not have a 50 jar option I would need to combine multiple bundles AT DIFFERENT PRICE POINTS to achieve a 50 jar total. I did not want to pay multiple prices for my 50 jar order and needed the assistance of Customer Service to insure that I would receive my 20% discount and best pricing possible. EASY, right? I first contacted their Customer Service number and was told that I would need to send an email to Customer Service for help, which I did. I explained my scenario via email and asked for a return telephone call because my questions needed further explaining. It was painfully obvious from the responses I received that I was not being understood. After multiple emails back and forth, I reached back out to the Customer Service telephone number to tell them of the issues I was experiencing while trying to place this order and was told they would escalate. I also found out via email that they would not honor my 20% FLASH SALE that actually had 2 expirations dates listed on it, one of which expired at midnight. I was told that the ad was "poorly worded" and should not have gone out. Wouldn't any good business honor their own mistake especially if there was a current date also listed??? So, I never placed my $300+order and eventually wrote a letter which was sent via USPS Express, signature release to Dani and Tracey, the owners, which I never received a response to. SHAME ON Wicked Good Cupcakes!! I guess they are so big now that they don't need the money I tried to spend or the 50 potential referrals they would have received from the people who they were intended for. Slightly bummed because we were here from out of town and we were excited to check out the shop. We walked thru Quincey Market and found the stand. The lady said that that was their shop and there was nothing else. This was around 8pm. They had about 4 cake flavors and she did point out the expiration date on the bottom of the jar in the next day or two. So that was a bummer. Definitely a better selection online, but you would think they would have more where they are from and not expired ones to sell (or give us a discount on the leftovers). This company has the worst customer service I have ever seen. I received an email receipt stating when the cupcakes would arrive. When I called two weeks after the due date to inquire what happened to my order (which was actually a gift from someone else), the woman answering the phone said she had no record in her computer of my name or the sender's name, even though I read her the receipt I had in my hands. So I was walking down Quincy Market and saw 'Wicked Good Cupcakes' which I thought seemed familiar. Then I realized it was a shark tank product for which I watched the episode for. I remember the sharks saying the cupcakes were REALLY good so of course I had to try one. I got red velvet as it was one of their most popular ones. Couple things... I don't think cupcakes should go in a jar. ever. You lose out on the presentation aspect. $7 is very steep for a cupcake. You can get a meal for $7 in this market Cupcakes were not 'really good' to me as the sharks claimed it to be. Basically it's frosting-cake-frosting in layers. Awkward to eat and the frosting/cake ratio was off. Too much frosting plus the cake was slightly dry. I was delighted to receive two of these jars a few days ago as an early Valentine's gift from my husband and children. I was less than delighted after taking a few bites full. I am a cupcake connoisseur. Sprinkles, Kara's Cupcakes (San Jose) and Frost (Campbell, CA-who are also winners of Food Network's Cupcake Wars) are just a few of my favorite. That said, I hold cupcakes to those standards. After watching these folks on Shark Tank boast about how delicious they are...and after getting a Shark to invest...i was really exciting to finally get to try these. Flavor wise, they're pretty good. Texture wise....kind of bad. The top until you get to the middle is pretty hard and dry. What struck me as odd was that even though these cupcakes come in a jar, they are in no way vacuumed sealed. I was waiting for the "pop" once I opened the lid but heard nothing. I tried the chocolate peanut butter one and the brownie one. Both of them were hard and dry. I can't understand how this place is doing well. If I am going to pay exorbitant prices for a cupcake, it better be a damn good cupcake. These....are not. Ordered the unicorn cakes and sent them overnight to Colorado as a get well - beats flowers.. Recipient loved the original idea and especially loved the lemon cupcakes. Such a fun idea! I would recommend the extra $$ of overnight to make sure they are fresh as possible! I called the store and the owner answered and said they were made same day shipped. I love that they layer frosting, then cake, then more frosting, then more cake. The frosting was perfect and the cake wasn't dry at all. I also bought a peanut butter one to try later. DELICIOUS, BEST cupcakes I've ever head. So, my family and I were visiting from California. I knew I HAD to try the famous wicked good cupcakes from Shark Tank. Gave it a shot and it was AMAZING. IDK what's up with the person who said it was tasteless because these things are pretty sweet in my opinion (could be bad if you hate sweets). So, yea, I bought about 10. The customer service was amazing, made small talk with one of the employees who just happened to be part of the family. She was really nice and even told me these cupcakes ARE AIRPORT COMPLAINT ...How cool is that, i got to take one on board and ate it. In regards to seating, well, this is a big hall where there is a lot of restaurants all around so you kind of just sit anywhere since technically it is a booth inside the hall. It is right in the center tho so you can't miss it. Definitely WILL RETURN and buy more. The couple ones I gave away were very much liked by my friends. Can't wait to go back soon. Very disappointed in customer service. No satisfaction or offering when complained about receiving jars of cupcakes filled with weight of 5 oz - 5.7 oz when all advertising says 8 oz. Evidently they are marketing the size of the jar they put product in. You don't realize this until you receive the product and see the weight sticker. Along with misleading the consumer the product is very expensive for the little size of cake you receive in the jar. I asked for a refund or a second order to compensate me and they disregarded me. read more
