This is sad because the food that we actually received was great. Unfortunately, only one person in our group actually got everything she ordered. Two of us had our meals arrive an hour after the first person's and one in our party never received his food after about 3 hours. There was a storm coming in so we paid for the food we did receive (in cash) and left. This is a prime example of restaurants who seat way too many people at once, causing the customer experience to suffer. The staff was way overworked and it's way to apparent that they are not able to handle the volume of customers. If Wicked Tuna wants to seat 300+ people at once, they need a larger kitchen and a lot more waitstaff. I honestly felt really bad for our server- I'm sure she had a lot of tables who didn't realize that this issue isn't her fault. Went here for a nice meal and ended up with some of the worst service ever. The waitress didn't even come to the table as we were eating. Our meals were half finished before she checked on us. The whole table was without beverages, I had to flag down another waitress who didn't even offer to get her just brought us water. Several of us were drinking other things and she didn't even to bother to ask us if we wanted anything else. The food was good but there are way better places to go where you will have much better service. Gratuity of course was on our checks so she apparently didn't care. For a place in the touristy zone of Murrells Inlet, I was super enthused to see a menu with vegetarian options! I didn't inquire too hard into vegan-ness (grateful to see a veg option). I started with the avocado spring rolls -- note, these were fried (might not be a vegan wrapper) and very tasty. The rest of the table was eyeing them! To get a bit more food, I also got vegetable sushi. If you're looking to save a few dollars, this could be a good bet, because it was a fair price for a roll ($6). Then again, if you're dining in this area, you've hopefully given up hope and are willing to cough up some $, especially for such lovely views. We had really great service for a very large table, and I believe we didn't even call ahead. We were still able to have a great time, the server was really on-point and as far as I heard, everyone enjoyed their dishes. One note, I did have a mild allergic reaction shortly after returning home, making me believe there might've been some cross-contact for what I ate (shellfish? I wouldn't know!). Food was AMAZING!!! My husband and I had the calamari, baja grouper, and blackened fish tacos. All dishes were excellently cooked and seasoned. Our favorite was the baja grouper. Our waitress recommended it. She was right. It was amazing. Our waitress had great customer service and she took care of us well. This place catches their own fish. It tasted so fresh. First off, both the food and the waiting service were ok. The atmosphere was great with live music, a great view, and interesting decorations. The big problem was the wait time and the management. We were told that the sushi would have a "long" 45 minute wait and non-sushi food would be shorter. With that in mind, we chose to order non-sushi entrees and it ended up taking almost 2 hours. This was caused by some type of kitchen mistake according to our waiter. Half of our group got their food almost 30 minutes before the other half. Any sense of eating together as a group was out the window. Those who waited had cold food. Our time was wasted and our overall experience was severely impacted by the fact half of the table had no food. We were offered no comp, and we were instead given a very small discount for our troubles. Given the fact our meal was completely soiled we'd expect more, especially given the high prices. Waiters were friendly and the managers were poor. Given this is how they decide to treat customers, then we will no longer be visiting this restaurant. There are plenty of better options around the area that are much cheaper, taste better, and have nicer management. read more

We just spent a week in Garden City and we ate dinner at all of the popular restaurants that are located in Murrells Inlet. Wicked Tuna was by far our best meal of the trip. We started with tuna tartare, which was excellent. I ordered scallops as my main entree, this was one of the best versions of scallops I've ever had. They pair them with a cauliflower purée and a corn salsa that is incredible. Everyone knows that your server at a restaurant can make or break your experience, fortunately our server was incredible. Our server, Cuthbert, was one of the nicest individuals you could ever ask for. He made us feel warm and welcome, absolutely amazing job by him! This was our first trip here and we had a group of 15 people including 7 kids ranging fro 2-15. We called ahead for a reservation for that group and the restaurant was very accommodating. We walked straight in and were seated in a perfect spot. We had two servers and they handled serving us perfectly. All of the food was great and were large portions. The staff is kind, efficient, and fun which makes the experience better. The food is great and they offer a wide variety of dishes so everyone can find something. The restaurant is very large but the wait can be long, I definitely recommend reservations. And sit outside. Prices are high but expected based on location and freshness. Wow! The best ever! A very extensive menu. We had the fresh catch of the day, Grouper. They had the option of ways it was prepared. One of us had deep fried, one had it with a blue cheese cream sauce and the other had it prepared as a lemony piccata, all delicious! We had Franchesca for our server. The manager was awful to his wait staff. It was busy when we arrived but slowed down by 9PM. The waiter at the table beside us was thanking them for being so patient. The manager signaled to him that he was spending too much time at a table. He was barking orders to get tables set up but never assisted with tasks. Also ordered the calamari. The sauce that came with it was delicious. It did have a bit of an oily fried taste but that's kinda my thing so I did enjoy it. The blackberry smash mojito was delicious, you could taste the ginger beer which I'm kind of addicted to. I had the wicked tuna roll and it was decent. I would've like more wasabi and ginger.
