I felt compelled to write a review of this place because of the excellent customer service i experienced tonight. i didn't catch his name but the cashier that assisted me deserves a raise or a promotion. i say this because i noticed that he remembered regular customers and tried to relate to each customer on a personal (but professional) level. this guy is a natural salesman and i'm confident that ill be back here again to scratch my chili cheese fry itch! Food is just as good as i remember it. i used to frequent the location in san jose years ago and i'm glad everything tastes good now as it did then! P.S. One last thing, i wish this location had a drive thru. the spot is rather small but i hope that's an upgrade that can be considered by the higher-ups. Stopped in to grab a couple of chili cheese dogs and some fries. There is a sign on the door stating that masks and social distancing are required. Unfortunately, the mask part is not enforced as there were two already inside and standing in the front of the counter waiting without masks and staff could care less. I am not proud to say that I NEED to get my fix once in a while, but I do, probably for more times in a year than I would admit to either. This particular DW franchise is a good spot to do so (Get My Fix On). 1) The parking lot is always clean and a parking spot is always there. 2) The employees and owners who are behind the counter are friendly and very customer oriented. They really do: Aim to please! 3) Their order processing is surprisingly fast, and 4) The food comes out piping hot (sometimes not a good thing!....I have left that establishment more than a few times with a burnt roof of my mouth) 5) The in-house dining area is usually very clean, and many DW patrons are often in attendance 6) Their boatload of fries is their best deal! What happens to this place.... since the previous Asian couple sold this location it has went straight to the gutter. The new owner (middle eastern man) won't let you use coupons that were sent in the mail so for aomethingni should paid less than 20$ with coupon cost me 32$ and 5 of 8 corn dogs were burned and not slightly burned but so burned the inside hotdog burned. Saw this place driving down A street and realized it's been years since I've seen a Weinerschnitzel. Went in and got really excited about their special chili cheese dogs. The bacon ranch chili cheese dog looked amazing. And as I often do, I opted for the special pretzel bun as well. I went to high school in a town in Illinois where the only one for hundreds (thousands?) of miles remains (check the website), but my parents must have thought a hot dog restaurant was a breeding ground of trichinosis, and we never went. Theme is happy. Customers diverse, many with kids. Prices low, food quality decent, but not great. Nice variety with unusual combinations. Gives you a little heartburn, not a lot. read more

I'm disappointed in this DW. I ordered two Chicago dogs and asked for extra peppers. Anyone who's had a Chicago dog outside of Illinois knows how hard to find the peppers are and how tasty they are. What I got was two deluxe dogs sprinkled with jalapeños. I find mind paying extra for the peppers, but they didn't even make it look like I got extra jalapeño peppers on my dogs.
