My gosh the worst fast food hot dogs I've her had in my entire life and the worst waste of money I've ever experienced. I won't give it 1 star because it's fast food for one. But also cause the service was good. The guy who took our order was very patient and helpful with menu. Food wise though. My god you can make your own hot dogs at home for better and cheaper. Very small wieners here so get the double if you do go to be even relatively full. They also are HEAVY with the mustard so if you don't like say so

Pure Nostalgia! Ate here back in college, regularly! Excellent and affordable prices! Wish they had more locations. Where else can you get Chili cheese burger and chili cheese dog combo! Food is hot and fresh. Let's not forget the tastee freeze and lemonades! True texas sized portions! Friendly service! Like a the love child of sonic, DQ & whataburger! Truely unique and menu has something for everyone!

I have a fond love for the underdog spot. Especially one that disappeared years ago in this city! There are a few places to get the glizzy in town, but to have this one come back with a vengeance is great! First off: location. Placing this by a oil change place, Whataburger and a Walmart???? Nice! You have no choice but to see it! Second.....I really could have used those coupons that was in the bag before I ordered. (Sigh) The haul: Number One Combo (Two hot dogs, fries and drink) with a Chicago Dog, Chili Cheese both beef, medium fry and medium Watermelon Lemonade. The chili is Trell the star in my opinion. Right spice and no bitter taste to it. The Chicago Dpg was seasoned and topped with veggies that were amazing! The chili dog was a handful of goodness too good to pass up'. The fries is my only hang up. Good, but almost a dead ringer for McDonalds. Overall, I would visit again. It may become like one of those go to once in a while places.

Very good hotdogs. Service is quick and it's fast food so ambiance is as you'd expect. Place is clean and sanitary.

Nice hot dogs focus, fast food chain from California. Although the name is German there is no German food here. It was still fun to take a German friend to this place because the food was good for fast food stander. The service was good.

First time to one of these. All the food tastes like plastic. Skip this place and go to JCI.

My bag came out relatively quickly,…read morethe Avis bus was right there, and a short time later I was on the Gulf Freeway heading towards my ultimate destination of Westheimer and Highway 6. Further up in College Station, Highway 6 does indeed run both ways. I previously made mental plans to stop at a recommended place inside the Loop for Dinner and then make a leisurely drive up Westheimer from there. However, as I'm hard wired to want to get to my temporary Hotel Home first, a better option was to stop at Specs for some wine, get Cuban takeout at a place near the Holiday Inn, and then relax in the room. The Specs part went just fine, as a picked up a nice Galacian White and a Portuguese Rose for the long days ahead. However, the Cuban place was closed, and by the time I settled into the room, it was late, and all I wanted to do was to walk a short ways for takeout and relax. Logan's Roadhouse was the nearest place, but the menu wasn't all that interesting and I didn't want that much food. Most everything else was a little far on foot, except for this Micky D's. So......which wine do you think went the best with my snack wraps and fries? Trust me, I'll do much better with my dining options over the next few evenings. But that's how it sometimes kind of goes on long distance trips.....

A big key to their success has been staying open late every day of the week, till as late as 4AM on the weekends. They pride themselves on being among the best tacos in Houston (#1) and love to showcase their chilango pride. To find them, just look for the blue truck in the Route 66 gas station parking lot along Westheimer. It's easy to miss for first timers, especially since they're not the only taqueria on wheels in the vicinity. Usually there are folks huddled around the truck during lunch time but the crowd tends to dwindle after 11pm. The waits are minimal and the staff is bilingual and friendly. While the $1.50 tacos sound like a deal, they're actually the smaller, two bite taquito (#2) versions instead. I don't mind them, even though they can be had for a $1 just further down the road. Of course they serve more than just tacos, there are sincronizadas, gorditas, burritos, quesadillas, and even hamburgers. Their claim to fame are their tortas, but it should be noted that they also sell machetes as well. The fajita meat is tasty. They've got one of the better variations that I've had along this stretch in west Houston and I would say the same for their campechano. Chicharron is also solid, as is their tripe. Their chicken and barbacoa is decent, but a slight departure from the rest of their meat lineup. I am fairly certain it's cash only. There is no outdoor seating and most everyone is doing takeout. I say order a handful of taquitos, order a Mexican soda, and enjoy it nice and hot from the car. ___________ (#1) Per their truck: "Los mejores tacos de Houston") (#2) Or a mini taco.

It wasn't great, and I've definitely had much better Mexican rice elsewhere. Compared to the rest of the plate, it was the weakest part. The service was great. Very friendly and attentive. I also really appreciate how affordable this place is. My gordita with rice and beans came out to $11, which is hard to beat these days. The ambiance inside was great, and I noticed they even do karaoke on the other side of the restaurant, which is a really fun touch. The outside area is a bit rough around the edges, but once you're inside, the vibe is welcoming and comfortable. Overall, great food for the price, excellent service, and a fun atmosphere.
