We stopped in for a corn dog and chili cheese burger. Clean inside and staff was friendly and nice. Food was good. Hadn't been to one of these in like 10 years! Will come back. Oh got the strawberry lemonade and was super yum

Parking: parking situation is a bit tricky since the drive thru lines are long they sometimes block parking spots. Nothing crucial but definitely a bit annoying. Food/inside the restaurant: the food was as good as I remembered it. Worth waiting for. It's best if you get off and order but I will say...it's tiny inside the restaurant. They have a total of 5 tables inside to dine in. 3 tables that sit 4 people and 2 tables that sit 2 people. The workers were happy to help. Happy to deliver. Happy in general. We will definitely be coming back for more.

Wienerschnitzel, Wienerschnitzel, this must be the place. You drive right up and they stuff a hotdogs right into your face! So went the Wienerschnitzel TV jingle from the latec1960s. That was back when Wienerschnitzel's drive-thrus split the A-frame building. Wienerschnitzel once operated a restaurant in Boise in the early 1980s but it closed long ago. I was glad to see the Irvine, California, company open a new restaurant, this time in Meridian, this week. I arrived on opening day at about 11:30 a.m. There were only two people in the line ahead of me. A couple of hours later, as word spread, it took people more than an hour. I had a chile dog and a Fanta orange float. The chili dog was as good as I remember it at age 10, the last time I ate at Wienerschnitzel. The only negative was watching the manager run around like his head was cut off, and that was only an hour and a half after the restaurant opened. I can't imagine what he was like at the end of a long, grueling opening day. He didn't make eye contact and did not welcome anyone to his new restaurant. Very surprising for a company opening its first Idaho location after the original Boise location closed nearly 40 years ago. Most restaurants and stores have people outside wellcoming guests, especially when there's a long opening week line.

I got a Chicago dog, cheese fries and a wild berry lemonade. The Chicago dog was ok. It didn't have the neon green relish, which is fine, most places done, but the sport peppers were great. The cheese on the cheese fries wasn't melted which was a disappointment and they could have been cooked a bit more, which would have helped the melting issue. The wild berry lemonade was amazing. Very refreshing and a switch from other places IMO that have to throw a bunch of fruit in a cup to get in the way of my drink. I will go back here for sure if for nothing else for this alone. There are a lot of other things on their menu that I would love to try. One thing is they are NOT gluten friendly. Their chili contains gluten, which I was able to confirm with what appeared to be the manager as well as all hotdogs somehow except for their all beef dogs. They also do not offer gluten free buns so there's that too. But my gluten-free SO was able to have a Chicago dog without the bun, cheese fries and not get sick, so that was a bonus. We'll be back.

Kicking and screaming we came here tonight for a quick bite...I will start off by saying I really don't like hot dogs so that's the kicking and screaming part. But in a pinch we decided to relive our childhood growing up. This is as everyone knows is newer to the area and for those of us that grew up eating here know exactly what you are going to get. Inside was nice and modern not like the places back home. Service was also good and the young guy taking our order was very friendly. The only hiccup is they forgot my fries which good that we dined in and didn't get all the way home... Food is just like I remember and tasted the same. That's the secret in my opinion. My wife loves this place and is her guilty pleasure, but for me it's just a hot dog and as I stated earlier not really my thing. She had the chili cheese dogs and I had the Chicago dog with a chili cheese dog. Food was done well and brought me back a little. I hope this place does well and keeps it going. It was great to see while not a huge fan of chain restaurants especially fast food. But not like the other chains this is unique in away is they specialize in hot dogs and for those of you vegetarians they have a couple options as well.

Front side part of the Restaurant, patiently waiting for our food.

Food was very mediocre, I have zero desire for a return visit just based on this. Fries were warm and tasty though but nothing original.

The absolute best Wienerschnitzel in Meridian! Much better than driving to Boise for a chili cheese dog.

It was always busy every time I stopped in. With my new kidney, I wanted to be cautious with the amount of people I'm around. Now that Raising Canes has been open for a hot minute, I felt like the crowd to be a lot smaller and safer for me to be inside the dining area. Greg helped us today at the register. He was really patient with us since it was my husband's first time eating there. I snagged the 3 piece naked combo and my husband got the chicken sandwich. He is a cheese lover so he was bummed that he couldn't add cheese to his sandwich but he still had high hopes that it will be good. My husband's meal did come out first. For some reason they dropped the ball on my meal. There were quite a few people that got their meals ahead of me that ordered after us. I wasn't sweating it but I knew Greg was on top of it. As soon as my food was ready, Greg hand delivered my meal which was nice since they usually call you up to grab your food. It was nice that Greg made sure we were aware that he didn't forget about me. What I noticed last time I ate at RC was how small the tenders were when you ordered them naked. I only got the tenders last time and at 2 bucks a tender, I really felt like I was being ripped off. Today I got the 3 piece naked but was given 4 pieces of chicken. Honestly, I don't know if I got the extra piece of chicken for them dropping the ball or because the chicken tenders were small. I guess the next time we come in, that will answer my million dollar question. While we were eating, Greg dropped off another sandwich meal for us to take home. He wanted to make sure that our experience was good since it was my husband's first meal there. I appreciate that Greg went above and beyond to make sure we left happy. The customer service Greg gave us today was fantastic! Only if all customer service can be like Greg's. I know a lot of businesses would prosper! I enjoyed the vibe of RC. The dico balls, the music and the chill atmosphere of the joint. It was fun experiencing all of that with my husband. My chicken was tender. The fries were crispy and salty. I got to see what the hype was all about with the bread and Canes sauce. I'm happy I waited to eat inside so I can actually get the whole experience. I look forward to coming back and having more naked tendies.

The tenders themselves were the star--super juicy, never overcooked, and featuring a breading that puts other fast-casual spots to shame. The fries had a great seasoned crunch, and the Texas toast was the perfect accompaniment. I also highly recommend the peach tea; it's blended perfectly so it's flavorful without being overly sweet. The Sweet Finish: You have to try their house-made Jar Desserts! I had the seasonal banana pudding, and it was nostalgic, creamy, and delicious--tastes just like what grandma used to make. Exceptional Service: What really set this visit apart was the management. While I was finishing my meal, the manager personally came by to collect my trash and thanked me for coming in. He even gave me a card for a free Slim's Wrap for my next visit! That kind of genuine hospitality is rare and keeps me coming back. The Vibe: The restaurant is spotless and bright. I love that they offer a mix of booths and tables, plus a patio for outdoor dining. They also have a quick drive-thru if you're on the go. Great prices, amazing flavors, and stellar service. As we all know, anybody that has been to one of these places, specifically Tony's, we realize this…read moreis a five star operation. So I'm going to start by saying this is actually a five star. The operation is simple, like any other order, then be seated with your food brought out to you, you step up to the counter, look at the options, order, and pay, and they will hand you a number to take back to your table with you. Drinks and condiments are just around the corner to the left of the cash register, out in the main dining area. There's an incredible amount of outdoor seating right along the road. Umbrella tables with nice quality tables and chairs awaits all diners. Why did I rate it a four star then? I had to get the attention of people and the employees to make sure that it stays a five star. The food is delicious, I won't use the word perfect but it's as close to perfect as you're gonna get. There really is no perfect when you think about it, it's all subjective. I got a Sicilian and the crust is thick and fluffy with a light crunch on the bottom and plenty of sauce and meat for a topping. Just the right amount of cheese. Flavor is out of this world. I love how the pepperoni curls up. It gets crispy on the edges The staff we're totally helpful and extremely professional and friendly. No complaints there. The ambience is typical New York style. Slice house quality. The concept of ordering a pizza that appears to be cold or cooked earlier in the day and then reheating it is going to be foreign for some, but that's the way they do things and it's spot on my opinion. Well, this is the first time at this location to this particular establishment, I've heard a lot about his operation and people love it. I've been to other similar operations back east and this is legit, only cleaner. Here's the downside. Food Handling and hygiene 101. An employee in the kitchen area walking around with their disgustingly, filthy phone, because we all know that everybody takes it to the bathroom with them, with no gloves, it's not a positive experience for people that care about germs in the food prep area. Everything else was immaculate except this one individual, was walking around, leaning up against countertops and places with dirty jeans and in my mind, contaminating the entire food prep area. This is a no-no. Leave your phone in a place where you can't touch it and customers won't see you use it. But if you have to, for crying out loud, wash your hands before you go back to the food prep area. Never bring your phone out in a food prep area because they're disgusting. I will be back, but if I see a phone in the food prep area again, I'll give it a one star. I'll be back but watching closely.

I do like that they have different styles of crust: Sicilian, New York, Detroit, & Grandma. We went with the Grandma crust, but would love to try the Sicilian crust. As for the pizzas, we ordered the BBQ Chicken and the Cal Italia. The crust was excellent. Crispy around the edges, and soft and buttery everywhere else. Great combo of flavors for each, but honestly, they're very stingy with the meat, especially on the Cal Italia. We got ONE very small piece of prosciutto per slice. If you add the little pieces together, you might be able to piece together a full slice of it. Let's just say they're heavy on the cheese and light on the rest of the toppings, but I'm basing this off only three pizzas. I will also say their medium-sized pizza costs $24, so there's no excuse for the slim pickins. The third pizza was a bite of a slice that my husband ordered on the way out. It was a blackberry/potato/cheese/red pepper flake pizza that I don't remember the name of, but my husband loves ot! He likes the sweet with the heat. I tried a bite, and I totally disagree...not a good combo. The potatoes doesn't vibe with the rest of the ingredients, IMO. The outdoor patio is huge and they allow dogs out there, plus there are two corn hole games available to play while you're waiting for your pizza to bake!
