Hot dogs should not be a major purchase... those of us that grew up with little have core memories of mom or dad opening a pack of hotdogs and a pack of buns... fed the whole family for a couple of bucks. And as recently as just a few years ago, der Weinerschnitzel (as we called it in the 1900s) was still a bargain spot to eat some stuff that is universally known to be bad for you, but tasty if you're into that sort of thing. There was always some special or "2 for a buck" type deal, and everyone bought drinks to keep it profitable for the company. Prices are now astronomical, to the point that I'm almost embarrassed I came here. I guess the revenue required to pay people $20+/hour has to be higher now, but the size of the food and sadly, the quality seems to also reflect efforts to cut costs and increase margins. Two small non-beef hotdogs, fries, and a small drink should not cost $15 at a fast food place. But that's the deal here. The drive through is impossible if you're driving anything larger than a 1994 Ford Festiva. You're losing sidewall on curb. Came in to get a hot Diggity dog after spending my money for this nasty no taste hot dog. I thought I was gonna die inside. It was 90° believe it or not 90°. I took a photograph of the thermostat. I asked the guy to turn the air conditioner on. He said the owner has it set up at that temperature. I cannot believe what kind of cheap piece of garbage place charging an arm in a leg and cannot even turn up the air conditioner to a normal relaxing atmosphere. Last week, I really had a taste for a pastrami sandwich. Was scrolling through the restaurants and saw that Wienerschnitzel, sir Day pastrami on rye, which sounded really good so I ordered a pastrami on rye along with a chili hotdog. Delivery came, and there were two chili hotdogs in the package, but no pastrami sandwich. I called Wienerschnizel on Huntington Drive in Monrovia. No answer after several rings, so I contacted Instacart to see if they could help me. I explained everything to Instacart, and after several minutes, they came back on the phone and said that they could not find my order for a chill hotdog and pastrami sandwich. They said that they could not help me and referred me to contact the Wienerschnitzel on Huntington Drive, so I found Wienerschnitzel again and got the same situation in that the phone was ringing, but nobody answered the phone. The cashier Maria V , is severely incompetent and rude & disgusting. I come here everyday almost for years . Born and raised here, lived next door for 32 years. My son wanted an all beef chili cheese dog and that's what I order him every other day he's 5. She didn't hear I asked for chili cheese and when I went in I told her , I asked you for a chili cheese dog and she said you ordered a chili dog and had an attitude and told me well you're not getting it for free, I said lady I have my card here to pay and she's like relax it was our mistake, I said no it was your mistake because you didn't listen to the order. She started yelling and was like well I'll give you your money back you're not getting anything.
