DISGUSTING MOLD & DANGEROUS DISREGARD FOR SAFETY I am beyond disgusted. I came in for a chili cheese dog and found visible black mold all over the bun. When I brought it to the attention of the staff, they completely dismissed me, claiming "we don't have that here" and that mine was "the only one." Mold is a major health hazard... if one bun is moldy, the whole batch is contaminated. To make matters worse, I have previously reported this same location for employees handling food without gloves. There is a clear pattern of negligence and a total lack of basic food safety training here. I have video evidence of the moldy food and the dismissive interaction with the staff. I will be filing a formal complaint with the Santa Clara County Department of Environmental Health and contacting corporate immediately. Soft Serve ice cream, Corn dogs and chili cheese dogs are my go to at Wienerschnitzel. The corn dog's cornmeal batter has the right proportion with the hot dog. I like the sweet salty combination. The jalapeno poppers had jalapeno and cheddar cheese with a thicker crunchy breading. The spicy kick of the jalapeno is quite noticeable. Great with the ranch dip. The breading was kinda hard. The soft serve ice cream, whether in a sundae or in a cone always has a creamy sweet flavor. Also smooth and not icy at all. I've always loved weinerschnitzel. I go here pretty often since I live nearby. They are also right next to the car wash I frequent. I needed to change coins for a bill to use the car wash, just a dollar; and I thought, "yknow what I'm sure I could walk over and ask for change." I waited in line, got up to the cashier, and just asked politely. The lady taking orders gave me the dirtiest look and didn't say anything. No, "sorry, we can't give change unless you buy something," or "Sorry, i don't have any bills." She just waved her hand for me to leave and yelled out "next, please." I honestly love wienerschnitzel and am super excited whenever I see they have coupons available! We always wait until we get the coupon deal that's $5.99 for a chili cheese dog, chili cheeseburger and chili cheese fries (the fries are definitely my favorite). However, their pricing was weird because the coupon was $5.99 for the trio, but they charged me $6.29 instead before tax. The place is getting more expensive, but it's still worth it in my opinion. Following the fries, I love the chili cheese dog and the burger is just ok. I'm not a huge fan of the burger bun (thick and stale tasting), but I've found that after microwaving the burger, it's much much better! I would give the burger a 4/10 as is and after microwaving, it'd be a 8/10 (for a fast food burger). Without the coupons, I don't think I'd ever come because it's so pricy. They also sell their chili cheese sauce for $5 a can so I'll definitely have to try that one day. Overall, I really enjoy coming here, but we came on a Friday evening and unfortunately, it was extremely crowded making it difficult to navigate in their tiny parking lot. This location is always busy but they are usually pretty fast. We never have problems using coupons here and there's coupons every month. We always walk up to the window to order, but they have a drive thru too that always has a line. The corn dogs always come out hot and I love the chili cheese fries. I have been eating at this Wienerschnitzel for years and years! This is the only one near me within 10 miles now that the one on El Camino was shut down a long time ago. Never had a problem with this long running franchise. This red and yellow painted restaurant and drive thru has always had friendly staff and foods are ALWAYS hot and fresh. Just like McDonalds has the Golden Arches, Wienerschnitzel will have an A-framed business where one can drive thru middle of building to pay and gather your drive thru orders. Outside patio seating is also available. My standard favs are the mini corn dogs, regular corn dogs, chili (beef) dogs and cup of chili (that's used on the chili dogs) with diced onion and grated cheddar cheese. Fries are always fresh and piping hot and golden. With my last visit, they advertised bratwurst. So had to try that. The dog fit the bun perfectly from end to end. The brat was soft and well seasoned. It had a nice soft bite and bun was steamy soft. Not sure if it's a limited time item or on everyday menu now. Plus here are the variety of cold, ice cream shakes are drink desserts from Nutella themed to orange whipped (like the yester-year flavors of orange and vanilla ice cream) to a seasonal or familiar candy themed shake. Not much advertising on TV, So if you like them, sign upon their website to receive announcements in your email. Went here and there was a line out the driveway so I parked and went to the window. I ordered then noticed every person working there had no gloves on. Not only that but when I got my drinks there was no carbonation so I was waiting for a lemonade and it was taking longer than expected, I seen the lady coming from the room across the way with a cup and lid. It was wet and I realized that she rinsed out my cup and reused it. 2 people came behind me and told me their sodas were flat. When they told one of the workers she said sometimes the machine doesn't work. Had to tell people in the drive thru because they obviously had no intention on putting a sign that there was no carbonation. This place deserves some love. I've always enjoyed the corn dogs and chili dogs from Wienerschnitzel. I came here with a friend recently because she wanted a hotdog but it was kind of late and the only place that came to mind was this place. We swung by around 10:30pm and got a corndog, a mustard dog with a side of mayo, cheese fries and jalapeño poppers. I'm soooo glad she noticed the poppers on the menu but I never did. The corndog reminds me of the good old days and the cheese fries were fine but did get soggy because we took them home. However, the MVP of the night was the jalapeño poppers. It was amazing and surprised me with how spicy it was. I've always enjoyed the jalapeño poppers from St john's but the ones here are equally as good. You can get a 6 pack for $2.99 or a 12 pack for $4.99. This is a GREAT deal for these quality poppers. The poppers are way more filled than the ones I usually get at St John's. The ones at St John are good but sometimes they are only filled halfway with cheese. This place is loaded! I know I should talk about their hotdog items are but this just blew me away. I had to come back again another time to get my fix. Since we only got a 6 pack the first time. Service: Drive thru or park and order at the outdoor window.
