Wild Child was a hit! It's a quaint bar, great atmosphere and plants galore. My husband and I don't drink alcohol so when we heard this place makes mocktails we had to give it a go. It can be tricky trying mocktails that don't taste like juice boxes but wild child hit it right on the nail! These mocktails are BOLD and full of FLAVOR! WOW! This has to be the best cocktail bar in KC. Very cool atmosphere and the cocktails are extremely creative and high quality. I love the flavor adventures I get to experience here and it's awesome that there's a place like this in my community. Great mocktails too. This place has quickly became one of my top three bars in Kansas City area! You really can't go wrong with any drink (trust me, I have just about tried them all!). The name Wild Child makes perfect sense for the drinks offered as they are definitely wildly different and in a good way. They also regularly add new cocktails which are always fun to try. The creativity behind these drinks is top tier and I am eager to see what new drinks pop up on the menu in the future. They offer a great selection of mocktails and without a doubt are the best mocktails you can find in the area. Rather you drink or not, you will find something here to please those taste buds! My top three favorites are Wayfaring Stranger, Pretty as a Picture, and the Midori Sour. The Wayfaring Stranger might seem odd just looking at the ingredients, but don't let that fool you. The combination between the saffron liquor, orange peel cordial, and garam masala offer a perfect balance between a sweet and savory spice profile. The Pretty as a Picture is more on the fruity citrusy side of things and is just plain delicious. The Midori Sour really surprised me as I was expecting more melon flavor, but actually got pleasant notes of the Thai Basil along with a small hint of melon and citrus. It comes with a huge pile of shaved ice in the glass which slowly melts down into a slushy as you near the end of the drink. Perfect way to finish off the drink as the straw they give you has a little spoon! Don't forget to make reservations here as you will need them to get in. Wild child was a pleasant and cozy experience. I headed this way after a yelp event at friction. Generally, I like all the bars and restaurants on the strip so it was cool to hop in here and get an upscale but unique cocktail experience in relevance to the other businesses on the strip. The venue is slightly small, so reservations are probably best. We were able to get in right away and sit at the bar. When more friends showed up, we moved to the table. The cocktails can be alcoholic or non alcoholic (which is a very nice option to have these days). The alcoholic beverages ranged from $13+16. We ordered several different types and they were all unique. They all had an eclectic taste profile and are pretty versatile (something for everyone). I wish there was more of a heightened experience that you may get at this price range, especially with the award nominations they have gotten. At atmosphere is cute, but the drinks are very expensive and not good. I got the matcha drink and it tasted nothing like matcha, was too strong, and overly expensive. I sat at the bar and watched the bartender make the drinks, they add barely any drink, most of it is ice. Very disappointing. read more

Wild Child is actually very WILD. When you walk in you're immediately greeted who will take you to your coveted spots. As you look around it almost feels like your transported to a magical jungle-y vibe. It's filled with cozy seating areas, lots of plants and fun wallpaper! A very bright light feel. What's awesome about Wild Child is that they also put an emphasis on mock tails! The mocktails are so yummy- not overly sweet, so it almost feels like your enjoying a cocktail but without the pressure of actually consuming alcohol. The lil bites they offered were also super tasty but personally I'm not a fan of the pickled green grapes. It was so pickled and sour I just couldn't handle it but besides that - everything was divine. The bartender was so patient and took time to explain the drinks, give recommendations, and was so easy to talk to! Great experience and look forward to our next outing here!
