I went 3 stars because the regular coffee was ok and to be 4-star for breakfast....coffee has to be amazing & super fresh & hot....for ME. The grilled English muffin was super yummy. The pancakes are huge and dense. One cake is the equivalent of three at most places. Eggs were fresh & scrambled perfectly. I am not big on potatoes but here they were not too crispy but crispy enough. The taste of the potatoes reminded me of the potatoes I had in Ireland. Still dream of those potatoes from 10 years ago when I lived in Limerick. They are THAT GOOD. Turkey & pork sausage options. The "crispy" bacon was perfect. They also have non crispy option. I can't speak to that because I am a bacon connoisseur soooooo crispy is the only way to go FOR ME. this place is always great. I got the "mad platter." that consist of eggs if choice, meats of choice. I get the egg whites and all crispy bacon. I get 1 well done pancake. I get my extra bread choice of a blueberry muffin to take home. they have the best tater tots I've ever had. they're shaped like squares. the servers are always friendly. they give a military discount and have a rewards program. my wife got a well done pancake and bacon and loved it. everything was perfect. We were in Louisville visiting our kids and grandkids and they suggested Wild Eggs for breakfast on Christmas Eve morning. The restaurant was hoping and the staff was really hustling to serve everyone. We were last here in June last year and I commented that the service was nout worthy of a 4 star rating. This time, however, BOTH the food and the service were worthy of four-star ratings. Our server was doing a great job of trying orders and getting food out in a timely manner. The server got the kids meals out first which was appreciated by all. A party of 8 of us came in on a Saturday morning without a reservation. They were able to sit us in 10 minutes! Things you should know: I. PARKING There's a parking lot shared with the other plaza shops. Easy and convenient. II. SERVICE The service was the highlight of this review. Our waitress handled all our orders like a pro and guided us through our options efficiently. The food came out in good time also. We were driving around trying to think of a brunch spot when Wild Eggs popped into my mind. Being a Sunday at noon I was concerned about the wait time, but my hubby was easily able to join the wait line from their website. By the time we got there it was only a few minute wait. We ordered a ton of food and drink. Hubby got a Bloody Mary and I got a pitcher of orange juice. We shared a strawberry tall cake for an "appetizer" it's huge and delicious. If you're like me and like a little sweet and a little savory I recommend you share it with someone for your sweet portion of you meal. For brunch I got the yellow submarine, a delicious ham and bacon sandwich with scrambled eggs and cheese on it. So good and so big, I brought half of it home. Hubby got the huevos rancheros and ate every bit of it! Food and drinks were fantastic. All staff were really nice and food came out incredibly quick. Bill was $75, if it's just you drinking the orange juice I recommend doing a large glass, as the pitcher is $20 but worth every single penny. read more

My wife and I stopped in town while on a long road trip and were looking for a good breakfast with a specialty latte to accompany it. This place fit the bill and exceeded our expectations! I ordered the breakfast burrito, which was top notch. It was filled with fluffy eggs, chorizo, cheese, peppers, and onions. It was topped with a dollop of guacamole and drizzled with sour cream. Served with a side of potatoes and black beans. I definitely left full after eating everything on my plate. To drink, I ordered their specialty 'King Cake Latte' which was the perfect accompaniment to my breakfast. It was so delicious, definitely one of the best specialty lattes I've had, and this isn't even strictly a coffee shop. It does have lots of cinnamon, so keep that in mind if you're sensitive to it. Our server, Ashlee, was so friendly and effective. We were in a bit of a hurry to get back on the road and it seemed like she read our minds. Service was fast without feeling rushed at all. Such a fun spot in Louisville. Friends joined us for breakfast and the vibe was cool - location convenient and service was friendly if not fast. The food was good - not amazing. I had the corn cake benefit with chorizo which was tasty but a little dry. The kids loved their pancakes and my friends potato casserole dish was tasty. The prices are great for the amount of food you get and the service is always top notch! I love that they do family seating, where basically they try to keep kids in a certain area. You don't have to worry about them being too loud as there's always another kid who's louder lol Takes the stress out of dining with children ;) I'm weird about my scrambled eggs but they are perfect here every. single. time. Had a pretty rough experience here with my friends. We made a reservation for 10:15am, but we were not seated until 11:15am. I have to assume that their reservation system does not work because every single person that walked in had a reservation as well and we all waited for 30 minutes or more. However, when we eventually were seated, the service was great. Our server was incredibly kind and very attentive. My group really appreciated that they had lots of gluten free options on the menu. Unfortunately, I was not too thrilled with what I ordered. I got the Wild Mushroom & Garlic Scramble. There were really hard pieces in it--I assume from them failing to rehydrate the wild mushrooms properly. I ate about half of it before I couldn't take it any more. Luckily I ordered a pancake on the side which was pretty good. I would be willing to try Wild Eggs again but definitely not this location. Hope that server is doing well though! read more

Our first visit to this popular location. I haven't visited a Wild Eggs in years but remember them for great pancakes. The website allowed us to join a waitlist, which I recommend. The waiting area was congested (and it was surprising how people were on top of each other while not wearing a mask). We checked in and waited about 15 minutes for a text that our table was ready. (Check out Zi Olive while you wait) Thankfully we had the perfect seat - back of the restaurant and in a booth, plexiglass too. We quickly had a pot of coffee and water at our table. The order also was fast too! I opted for a combo with eggs, muffin and house fries. Then I added bacon and a pancake. About $15 total. My husband ordered The Mad Hatter and it was a huge meal of meats, eggs, grits and bread. No complaints. The food was delicious. We ate until our stomachs couldn't take anymore! Coffee was average, a little light in flavor for this dark brew girl. I came for a delicious pancake and got exactly that. The restaurant does have a small patio and several tables. Servers are assigned a lot of tables and hustle. Overall still in decent shape minus their bathroom which is run down with rusted stall doors. read more

Gotta sneak in those dates when you can....today was brunch!  I hadn't been to Wild Eggs in a hot minute and decided I wanted to go back. Added bonus - no wait. Hot places have waits. It is what it is. Sat right away, we ordered coffee and I ordered alcoholic latte ....can't go wrong there. It tasted like a white russian. Another win. We ordered chicken & waffles and Mr. Potato Head.  The potato head was so so rich and a huge portion. I shared with my main squeeze. He ordered the chicken and waffles - the waffle was super good....I'm not going to lie, that chicken was spicy! Like really really spicy. But if you like spicy, you'll love it. One word... YUM! We stopped and ate breakfast here before leaving Kentucky and I'm so glad we did after our dinner experience the night before. This breakfast spot is nestled in with our little shops which makes the experience for out of town era pretty cool and quaint. There was a long wait but it was expected so we did some shopping while we waited. The staff was really nice and we were given a few suggestions by our waitress. I chose the crabby patty bennie and I'm so glad I did. The presentation was on point and everything was good... even my muffin! I love their menu and all of their options. I love seafood so to see crab on the menu with poached eggs sold me. My friend had waffles and he also was pleased. The environment was clean and it was just a pleasurable experience from the time you walk in to sitting down to eat. My meal was so good! They have one here in Carmel so I look forward to going back. Please note this review is for the Westport Road location. I was contemplating between 2 stars and 3 stars to rate our experience. Only reason I went with the 3 stars is because the food at least tasted good. But the service, atmosphere and presentation of the food needs work. First, there were less guests than workers and it still took about 8 minutes before we were greeted. Literally there were less than 10 guests in the entire place. When a server finally came to take our drink order, it was a different server who returned with the drinks and informed us that there was a mixup in who our server would be. Fine. I guess. My fiancé and I did what we often do which is ordered an omelet to split. Normally, at the English Station Rd location, they literally split everything in half and create two very presentable dishes when the food is brought out. Not today. They literally cut the omelet in half, threw it on a plate, and brought it out. Just like that. See the picture below. Terrible presentation. The people in the back kitchen had the music booming. You could hear the bass out front. Meanwhile, our server was very inattentive and I had to go ask one of the workers who were standing around to go find our server. This time around, I chose the Mushroom & garlic scramble which I've had before (it's so hard for me to not get this or Kalamity Katie's Border Benedict) with potatoes and an everything muffin. Five star meal and service this morning by Spencer at Wild Eggs Westport Village! Spencer was a delight to interact with throughout our meal. Very nice young man! I had the Kelly's Quesadilla (again)! It's a great go to breakfast. Large flour tortilla filled with scrambled eggs, cheese, diced green peppers, onions, chorizo, and probably more. There is sour cream, salsa, and guacamole on the side. This is a hearty meal and quite flavorful. My friend had the Eggs Benny, which is a traditional eggs benedict, that comes with skillet potatoes. Everything tasted as good as it looked, and we were checked on repeatedly, but not too many times. The coffee, as always, is hot and flavorful.This is consistently a great place for breakfast (or lunch). The food is always good, especially the potatoes (you can order them extra crispy, if you like).
