Pizza is not very good or fresh and is expensive ($7 a slice), but it's one of the few places at the airport you can get food so go nuts.

I believe this is the first time I am giving a "restaurant" at an airport 5 stars!! Reason... huge smiles on everyone's face and great service which was great to see early in the morning. Definitely made me smile. Oh and the food was pretty good. I had the Reno quiche which hit the spot. read more

While waiting to catch a long plane ride right before lunchtime, you are fortunate to find anything to grab and go. Wild Garlic is one of two selections in the southwest terminal and they had the better looking salads, so I grabbed one. It was an antipasto salad with salami, pepperoni, chicken, peppers, onions, olives, etc. The salad was very good however all the dressings were of the miserable packaged & processed variety. Nobody at the counter when I arrived, figured it was slow so someone must be on break, three other people join me in line so I sit at the bar. Another 6-7 minutes goes by and a kid with terrible tattoos and bleached blonde hair comes strolling along to take everyone's order. Once everyone is set up he exits the back and proceeded to wander over to the "Tahoe Taphouse" and chit chat with the bartender. Another customer comes up and waits for at least five minutes before the counter person comes back to help him and once that order is complete wanders back to the bar across the way to engage in casual conversation yet again. If you're flying RNO steer clear of this establishment. Food is 7/10 service 2/10 at best. read more

Full disclosure: My 3 star rating is based on low expectations for the very limited and mediocre foodie choices in the RNO airport. That being said, I came in for an early lunch (RNO was dead on a Friday probably due to flight cancellations from the blizzard back east) and the lone nice lady behind the counter was finishing up toppings on a pizza. After looking at the limited choices under the heat lamp I picked a kicked up spicy chicken-veggie supreme she concocted. 3 minutes through the conveyor belt oven + a Goose Island IPA beer and I was done for surprisingly cheap - just over $10. Pizza was fresh, tasty toppings and very filling. Where it fell down was the doughy crust. It's the best you can expect from a 3 minute conveyor belt oven. Recommendation - try and get a fresh pizza if you can. I got the sense a slice would rapidly decline sitting under the heat lamp. Service was fast and friendly so I am giving this a 3-star which is 2-star in the real world, outside the necessarily lowered expectations of small town airport food. read more

The Reno Airport Wild Garlic advertises a $10.00 pizza and Sam Adams beer special. This special is posted on a 6 foot tall sign outside the restaurant on concourse B. While the sign clearly states you get a slice of pizza , it also shows that slice of pizza paired with a 20oz. pint glass of Sam Adams. What you actually get for your $10.00 is a slice of pizza and a 12oz. plastic cup of Sam Adams. For $10.00, is it too much to ask to get the 20oz. Sam Adams as advertised? read more

They take some pre made pizzas and pop a slice in the oven to warm it up. Nothing fancy except the price $7.54 a slice...awesome! Not as tasty as I had hoped and the only good option in B gates besides the pre packaged food. read more

Just had a pepperoni slice and it was really good. There isn't much to eat in the Reno airport, especially after you pass through security. The people were pleasant and a beer and a slice for $10 is a pretty good deal. read more

As far as airport food goes, this place is pretty good. But as far as food you should eat before getting locked in a flying metal cylinder where your access to the bathroom can be rescinded or restricted, this isn't the food for you. So for food I've eaten in an airport, I gave it five stars. For food I would eat before getting locked in a plane for two hours, this gets one star. Do the average (5+1=6/2=3) and you get three stars. I hadn't eaten all day. It was a hassle getting to the airport and through lines from Reno because other Phoenix dwellers couldn't cope with being under 50*, so I needed to put something in my stomach before flying. Reno's airport is all in pieces right now, so much so they had to hire an "airport bear" to pose for photos telling me that the place was in shambles. As such, no "brand name" food, just local stuff. I slammed a slice of pepperoni and a redbull, just enough to keep the rotors spinning to get me home for a real dinner in Phoenix. This might have been an error. If you have a sensitive tummy, and are just about to get in a plane, this might not be the best life choice for you. I know I, and by proxy anyone else who used the bathroom on that plane, paid for the convenience of Wild Garlic with several rancid trips to the skybound potty. read more

Waste of space at the airport. Pizza is decent and options are limited at the airport, but they are never open. I will skip the brick and mortar location because they can't keep hours at the airport. There are probably 600+people in the b concourse right now (530am) and the line for LaBrea bakery is thirty people deep. Service the airport location or let someone else. I fly out of here two or three times a month and rarely get a chance to eat anything besides a powerbar from the gift shop since the bakery is always jammed with coffee and breakfast sandwiches. read more

I like the pizza here, they are located in Reno airport. They cater to flyers - you have to pass through security to get to this pizza place. I always stop before hoping on Southwest flight home. If you're getting a slice - generous size, tasty fresh toppings, at least 4-6 types to choose from, and nice helpful people. Crust is on thick side. About $7.50 a slice. read more

Tried a slice of the pepperoni pizza, it was good sized and it cost me more than $5. But I was starving and it was okay. Dough doesnt taste fresh though, but its a nice sweet flavor to it. It would be nice if there was more toastyness to the top of the slice. Staff friendly and good humored. This pizza is pretty tasty! Loving all the extra crust (I'm a crust lover). It was warm enough for me being on warming tray for awhile (they asked if I wanted it warmed up, I said no). The BQ garlic chicken was for sure garlicky, but will do again when passing through here in Sept. read more

Pizza was outstanding the one thing better than the Pizza was the server. One guy working the oven, pizza and cash. Very polite, great customer service skills, washed hands frequently. Had a whole sports team come up and he handled everyone in a timely manner. The pizza is just as good as their stores outside of the airport. The lady serving customers on 5/5/17 at 12:30pm was providing what I can say is the worst customer experience I have ever witnessed. She was irate that another man had asked for extra cheese on a pizza and wanted to know the cost. This set her off and she began a series of rude comments to every other customer in line. She yelled at another man "are you just going to stand there or are you going to come up to order anything." Then she yelled at these girls towards the back that how they were standing was taking up too much room. I had a long wait before my flight so I decided to stop and get a bite to eat. And clearly I don't have very many options in a small airport. Martin was the employee who helped me and he went above and beyond. Offered to bring the food to me sitting at the bar and offered me a cup of water after watching me burn my mouth on the fresh pizza. I got up to throw away my plate and Martin told me it was fine and to leave it. Martin is a great employee and should definitely be working else where, where his customer service skills would be more appropriated by customers. read more

The cheese pizza was terrible!!! I get the restaurants or fast food by the gates are limited and the prices are expensive $4.45 for a slice of pizza, but you would think since this is a local owner with a new opening on Mt Rose St., they would try and provide great food for the price. The cheese pizza had so little sauce ( we couldn't see the red between cheese and dough) on the first bite, which is the middle of the pizza. I needed to ask for a cup of extra sauce. The cup was 2 oz and of course it's cold...still much better than dough and cheese for $4.45! We had one slice each of cheese pizza for two of us and realized after the first bite we would need another 2 oz cup. If the rest of the pizza's are that way at the airport...stop somewhere else to eat...at a much better price!!! read more

So it's 6:30 pm and all flights at the airport are delayed due to weather. This pizza place is right in the middle of the terminal so it's a good place to grab a bite. Here's the problem. They have no food! I ordered a salad and was told "we are all out of salads", then I ordered a slice of margarita pizza and was told that all that is available is pepperoni or cheese. The lady behind me wanted garlic knots, they were out. The place was empty at first so it's not like they sold out. They just didn't stock well. They have one kid working there and he makes one pizza at a time. Don't have a menu up if only 2 of the 11 items are offered! The pizza was fine but it was really a strange experience. read more

Disappointing on a lot of levels. I wanted to love this place as there was a long period of anticipation waiting for them to open and really I prefer to support local neighborhood places. First, the positive: it is a cozy space, exposed brick wall behind the bar, open airy feel in a nice old neighborhood.Very casual and cute. Very good amber Red Rocket brew and a few other beers that sounded good. Small selection, though. But then... No wine other than the "house wine" and our server had no clue what it was other than" red and white". Really, no decent wine??? The "free Tuesday anchovies" we're also unavailable- because we hadn't ordered them with our food. Then, our pizza order was somehow devoured by their inept computer system so after sitting there for 15-20 minutes our server came over and said our order had just "that moment" been processed and it would be at least another 15- 20 minutes before we might see food. Everyone in the entire restaurant,including those that had arrived at least 15 -20 minutes AFTER us was already eating. I guess only our order had vanished. They did comp us each a beer for the excessive wait. Pizza finally arrived- very doughy,thick crust and very scant toppings.The taste was good but overall everything was so weak in so many ways that it's doubtful we'll return. read more

10 dollars for a slice and pint in an airport! Since most airport bars will charge you ten just for the slice, this is a steal. Also, Marty working the counter is incredibly efficient and friendly. Got in line because it was short and didn't have much time until flight departure. Only one person cooking and the checkout guy moved as slow as I have ever seen. They forgot my order, were rude, unapologetic, expensive even by airport standards, and it still took over 30 minutes to get my pizza, which was mediocre at best. I had to eat it while walking to my gate. Will NEVER eat there again. read more
