We come to Dallas from uptown for the stocking stroll and stopped in here to get warm and eat. David, our waiter, was AMAZING!! ExplaIned all the dishes, everything about happy hour, history of the area and was delightful! The food wasn't your typical Mexican place... presentation was beautiful, I could drink the queso and the margaritas are fresh & homemade (not the gross mix). Highly recommend. I came to Wild Salsa with a group of 10 people and had some tacos and the pineapple Fresca to drink. Really yummy food! Much better Mexican food than Enchiladas which is a couple blocks away. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable. The bar area is nice. JuSt one tip: the traditional guacamole they serve here is sort of different, sort of sweet. Not too crazy about it. Tried this place out on a night out in Dallas. Everywhere else was packed so we went here instead. There was no wait and plenty of seats open. The interior was dark to match the style of the restaurant. However, i felt the lighting may have been too dark. The server we had was a bit awkward and she didn't seem very nice towards us. The food came out and everything tasted okay but could have been better. And in my opinion, the pricing was not worth the quality of the meal. We've been here twice recently, and we absolutely love it! We've tried enchiladas, tacos, fajitas, quesodillas, and tamales. All fantastic and beautifully presented. The bartenders make some seriously good drinks, and if someone is walking around with the pineapple and jalapeno Agua Fresca samples, do not say no. They are amazing, and my son has ordered it both times because of that sample. Get dessert. Just get it. We've had all three options, and they are all so tasty! First time going to Wild Salsa since they opened back up in downtown. We live downtown so it's great to have a new restaurant to be able to walk to. We were very pleased. They did a great job decorating and the staff was very attentive and helpful. The food was delicious and even the presentation was nice. Not overly loud but we did get there right after opening for the day. By the time we left the bar area was full and a good portion of the tables were full (Saturday afternoon/evening). They had some drinks that were also not on the menu like Jarritos and Aguas Frescas so ask your server about those. If you like a good Mexican restaurant definitely give it a try. read more

I do have to say that their happy hour is pretty good, and lasts until 9pm. I think draft beer was $2 or $3, and the house margarita about the same. I had some tacos, and now I don't remember which ones and can't find a menu. Probably pork, though. They were kinda pricey for the size, but I really enjoyed them. We sat in the bar area and service was awful. The poor lady seemed really scatter brained. I lucked out sort of because the few times she did come around I was ready for another drink. Wild Salsa did not disappoint! We were across the street at a concert where the food options/prices were a bit outrageous. I had a co-worker suggest stopping by here for cocktails and food. My, my! It was great! You can't be $5 cocktails during their happy hour from 3:30-7:00 in bar area. It did take a while for the cocktails/water to be delivered, but we were patient. I could see it was just the one bartender at the time and he was working his butt off to serve the entire restaurants drinks. I enjoyed the La Buracha and it was incredibly refreshing and not too sweet. The tacos are a steal too at $2 a piece. I got the chicken tinga, chipotle shrimp, and al pastor. It comes with this delicious cilantro cream sauce on the side that I devoured. The chips were a bit on the greasier side than I prefer, but the salsa was really flavorable. I definitely would come back again when I am downtown and want to check out the Fort Worth location that has been on my bookmark for sometime. It is much closer to my house. read more

Worst service I've ever received in any food establishment. I literally had to get up from my table and walk to the bar to ask for a water. Multiple items I ordered weren't brought to the table. We were a larger table and management did a poor job of supporting a waitress who was clearly overwhelmed. You could honestly get better service at a McDonald's. read more

We had a really good experience at Wild Salsa - we stopped in for dinner before an evening show at the Majestic. Our waiter was attentive and eager to chat after we asked several questions. Please don't read that as he was overbearing - he was just super friendly and really knew food. The food is more Jalisco style, really fresh ingredients and a light touch. It's not the cheapest Mexican you're going to find, but if you want excellent quality and appropriate portion sizes, you can't go wrong. We ordered queso (delicious with fresh poblano and melted queso fresco) and split an order of fajitas for our main with an extra side of rice and beans. It was more than enough food and did a good job of tamping down the buzz from our dos margaritas (each!) pre-dinner. A couple of standouts (posting photos of these): The house salsa. Amazing!!! Also, whatever you do, save room for the sopapillas. We split an order and it was just the right amount. Instead of being served huge sopapillas, the order is a pile of mini pillows of cinnamon-sugar covered heaven. It comes with three small squeeze bottles of toppings - chocolate, cinnamon-honey and cajeta. Oh, Lord! SO GOOD. Seriously - I'd go back just for drinks, chips and salsa, and sopapillas. Wild Salsa will be opening before long in Allen at the Shops at Fairview. Yay for even closer to home! read more
