I came here during vacation. I ordered 3 tacos, carne asada, al pastor and red snapper. The first two tacos were good but the red snapper with the dressing it had on it overpowered the overall taste where as you couldn't really taste the red snapper. I also got a agua fresca of watermelon. The area is nice and open with plenty of seating and an open kitchen so you can actually see what they are doing. Overall service was pretty good as they refilled my water making sure I had enough at all times and the wait time for the food to come out wasn't long despite it being somewhat busy. read more

The tacos were delicious, and the guacamole was fresh. The staff was friendly. Parking isn't the easiest to find, but if you're not in a rush, it's easy enough to stroll around and find a spot. There were 9 of us and the restaurant is a bit on the smaller side but they accommodated our group pretty quickly and were so sweet the entire service. After a day at the beach, we wandered into Wild Taco for Happy Hour which is a great choice if you are in Newport. Their Grilled Elote is a hit!! You will be glad you ordered it because the sweet grilled corn with the salty tajin and rich mayonnaise with tart lime is a sensation in your mouth. With it being Happy Hour, the $6 price tag might cause you to buy 2 We happened to go on Taco Tuesday so we had to try the carnitas taco for $4 and the pastor taco and in my opinion the pastor was better. I will definitely come back to try the red snapper! They are owned by Bear Flag Fish so I know for a fact that fish taco will be just as fresh and delicious. The $8 margaritas were lovely and I highly recommend pairing that with your meal on Taco Tuesday. We got the $5 mini quesadilla which I wish I would've exchanged for the chips and salsa but I learned my lesson. The mini quesadilla was something I could make at home, bland and a plain quesadilla but everything else was delicious. Stop by during these hours and you will be glad you did! The order was taken correctly...but...the cook was in too much of a hurry and put cheese on the beans. They were not busy so there's no excuse. When I arrived back home I called to inform them. Nothing was offered other than an apology. I didn't expect anything for free. But they didn't even offer to make things right. went yesterday afternoon with my family for the first time in about a month and saw that the fajitas are now $18.50 instead of $12... but the same portions and taste. i feel like $18.50 still isn't bad for amazing fajitas, especially considering the area (even tho $12 was an absolute steal) so this restaurant is still going to be my go-to. i thought it was cute that they added a photo booth inside too. service was really good yesterday too, probably because the restaurant wasn't too busy. The black beans are good but a little salty and the rice seemed to be overcooked because it was mushy. For the tacos, you can choose corn or flour. The corn tortillas seemed to be fresh and were pretty good! The tofu taco came with a corn salsa that was good, I just wish the tofu itself was either grilled more or had more flavor. She told us that this place is owned by Bear Flag that has a store next to it and is the location of the original bear flag. I order a taco on the side. They have the original Mexican-style coke. Prices were AOK. Parking is easy peasy. You can park on the street or in the lots on the main street and take a little walk.
