We met with a group of 10 / great service, we shared appetizer (no pics, apologies!). I picked the porterhouse , medium rare. And was impressed that they managed it well !!! Commonly you're getting it medium. The potatoes were good but not outstanding. A little strange that they ran out of A one ( and didn't offer any alternatives ) All in all a good experience, will go there again in a smaller group to see how they treat us then.

We had a work dinner here for the holidays. They have a separate GF menu with many options. The server offered GF bread to start. I ordered the baked goat cheese with GF pita as an app and it was amazing. For my entree I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich on a GF bun with a-gratin potatoes. All the food came out with special allergy sticks in for awareness. They also have a flourless chocolate cake. The service was excellent and I felt very safe eating here. Can't wait to come back!

Wildfire knocked it out of the park with a lovely birthday dinner in their private wine room. This was huge for our family with a 2 year old and an 8-month old! The service team (likely loving engaging with the kiddos) had a great time and took wonderful care of us. Standouts at this dinner were the roumanian steak, bacon wrapped scallops and tasty root vegetables.

The service was 10/10. The salad and sandwich were amazing. The calamari was pretty good. A few pieces were overcooked. But overall from the time I walked in, until dinner was over I was impressed. If you are ever in the area be sure to have some dinner here! The place was clean and nice.

Our service for a group of 8 last night was fantastic! The server was super friendly and checked in on us frequently. We were lucky enough to get a private room which was perfect since we had a newborn baby with our group. I started with a french onion soup and it was a great choice. It had a rich onion broth with a broiled cheese top. The chopped salad was perfect as always. The avocado, bleu cheese, and dressing elevate it. I went with the special of the night - a turkey dinner. So yummy! I wish the portion size was bigger. My grandma had it in the past and gotten a bigger portion size. Some other things we enjoyed were the French dip sandwich, steak sandwich, halibut, bbq ribs, and chicken. Very nice option for a special occasion. I loved every dessert.

The food is delicious, but the prices are clearly overpriced. The service is pleasant, but not all the waiters are friendly. We had a very friendly waiter, but the table next to us wasn't so lucky.

Last day for scratch offs, had the turkey special, really wasn't so special. Somehow this place always has some fat in the turkey, better turkey at Max's off Skokie road. The service was great, the bread wasn't warm and was kind of stale , hard, the roast beef was excellent

Excellent food, service & ambiance! We visited this restaurant while visiting Illinois, to celebrate my son's birthday. The day before arriving, we made a reservation. Due to travel delays, we had to change the reservation time, which they were super understanding and accommodating. The restaurant was kind of hidden behind a hotel. It did have ample surface parking. When you enter, you're greeted by friendly staff. The ambiance is quaint and pleasant. Seating is abundant and comfortable. The food was excellent. I had a spicy margarita, which was absolutely delicious. Our server was kind and attentive. Shoutout to the manager who graciously treated us to dessert as we visited for the first time. The flourless chocolate cake had more a brownie consistency to me, but it was still good. My husband enjoyed his cherry pie. The prime rib was delicious, as well as the chicken moreno and the turkey burger. We will definitely go back when we visit again.

It feels like a bit of a time warp, stepping into Wildfire. The dark woods, the cozy booths, the crooners over the sound system..,it feels like a 1930s supper club .., which isn't a bad thing. Expect traditional fare and you will be right at home. The skillet cornbread came out hot from the oven, the pan was smoking hot, and the butter just oozed over it. It was crisp outside, soft inside with kernels, and this might have been enough. My companion ordered crab and shrimp bisque which was thick, rich and decadent. They also had an enormous shoe-sized baked potato. I had the macadamia nut encrusted halibut which was buttery, crispy and with a rich sauce and flaky white halibut. The au gratin potatoes were soft, tender and indulgent. The creamed spinach was ok -- I think it had too much nutmeg for my taste. My other companion had the medallion trio which had different savory crusts like horseradish and blue cheese. They said the filet was very tender but in my opinion was slightly overdone. Service was ok. They checked on us often during the first half of our meal, but once they dropped off the entrees they didn't check back. I would have liked to call their attention to my companion's burger, which looked rare/medium rare instead of medium/well, but they were ok with it so I didn't press it. Normally at an establishment such as this I would like to peruse the dessert selections but by the time they came back I was ready to go. Our meal was quite good but there were areas for improvement. The daily specials sounded interesting so it might be nice to come back during the week to try one of those -- like Monday's Southern Fried Chicken.

I'm currently craving Wildfire's limited time Blackberry Creme Brûlée pie. It's available typically during the month of November, but I wish it was available year-round. Their Wildorf Salad is also absolutely phenomenal. The filet trio is always a good choice! Don't skip dessert and appetizers! Wonderful, friendly service in a causal, but fancy setting. Wildfire is a good spot for any occasion!

Not wanting to park far and walk far for the theater hubs and I decided to have dinner at Three Embers before the show. It was a great decision! Making reservations was easy through their website and making last minute changes was just as easy. Three Embers is located in the Marriott hotel. It was a larger, open space room with tables well spread apart and comfortable seating. We sat at a nice cozy table by the window. It was perfect for the 2 of us. I can imagine the view being stunning during the other seasons, but being January my view was of snow and more snow amid branches. We were quickly greeted by our server, Anna, who was warm and welcoming. We had bread and butter (delicious), served water right away, and another staff member switched out our table light for a brighter one that was fully powered. Anna took our drink order and gave us time to look over the menu. We started with the calamari which was delicious! It was perfectly fried with the calamari being nice and tender, complete with our favorite parts the tentacle ends, and well seasoned. Hubby ordered the porterhouse which as prepared spot on, medium rare! The fingerling potatoes were SO DELICIOUS!!! They were crispy, fluffy, tender, and such a good accompaniment to the steak! Honestly as a carb lover, I'd be happy with just a big plate of the crispy fingerling potatoes. The carrots were sweet and prepared just enough to be tender, but with a crunch. He appreciated that it wasn't boiled or steamed to death carrots. I ordered the Black and Bleu salad. It was a large portion salad, perfect for dinner without being heavy. The steak was prepared a medium rare and topped with delicate crispy fried onion strings. Everything in the salad worked so well together making it a nice cohesive entree. The really enjoyed the grilled corn in the salad! The dressing was a light dressing and had a hint of sweetness, but not overpowering the flavors. Unfortunately my steak was a bit on the fatty and gristly side so quite a bit had to be discarded. This was the downside to the salad. Overall, the meal exceeded our expectations and didn't fit into what some would think of as "hotel restaurant food." The prices are on the higher side, but for some of the conveniences and location, it was worth it. The service was wonderful! Anna was attentive, knowledgeable, friendly, and so sweet! We never felt rushed. She checked back after serving us each course to make sure everything was good and had perfect timing sensing when we needed our check to make the show. I can see why other Yelpers rave about having her as their server! I would certainly come back to Three Embers for dinner before a show. Parking was easy as we were there before the show, parked at the hotel and entered through the hotel. We walked from the restaurant to the theatre without ever having to step foot outside in the freezing single-digit temps.

Caesar salad: Probably the weakest part of the meal, and not just because it was salad. Aside from the the capers, which didn't add much to the dish, this version of Caesar salad was rather boring, and just didn't feel like the kind of elevated fare you expect from a steakhouse. Petite filet: this was what you'd expect from a quality steakhouse. Perfectly cooked, quality steak. Nothing transcendental, but it's good. Dry aged rib eye: Again, you have to nail this if you're a steakhouse, and they did. Properly cooked, with a notable charcoal crust. If you don't like your steak with that kind of crust, be aware and ready to request something different. Edit: I'm posting this just in time for them to go out of business, sorry to hear it.

But after this visit, we are questioning if we will be back. So we went to Eddie Merlot's to celebrate the Xmas gift I gave my parents. This was our third visit to this location in Lincolnshire, at our usual time. But this visit, they were busy. So let's break it down, piece by piece. So when we arrived for our 7pm reservation, we were seated, in great time, but not a great selection of seats. We were seated where the bar is and it is a right fit, especially since they are busy, and an unusual amount of kids. So we were given menus and the special for tonight. Our server, Joe, was very friendly and very nice. We gave our drink orders and we then began to look at the menu. After we got our drinks we were still waiting on their delicious bread. Jow came back to take our orders but wasn't writing it down, which would be important later. So far so good, but still no bread. Finally got the bread and were waiting on our salads. Grade 3.5/5 So the salads came, a Caesar salad that my parents shared and a house salad for me with a delicious balsamic vinaigrette. They were delicious and Joe gave us a good amount of time between our salads and mains so we weren't rushed. But as we were eating our salads, my mother and I noticed a familiar aroma hit the air. And we both said thebsame thing. Why would they light incense in a steak house near customers? Well it wasn't incesne. What they were doing was they were smoking a special drink on their menu. It was i think for an Old Fashioned. But for some reason they were smoking the drinks in these little metal glass cases, but near customer's tables instead back by the bar. So as you're eating you can't taste your food because your nose is being filled with smoke. Also they had flambé specials on their menu and we had two customers from different tables order these and for how close each table was, it wasn't a great idea with how close everyone is too each other. I had it done behind me and it was like a fire on my back. So a little more coordination and seating arrangement needs to be done. Salads great, but ruined by incense/smoke and flambé almost mishahps. 3/5 So Joe came back out to verify our sides, which i thought was weird and the sauce i wanted for my steak. If this was written down, he wouldn't have needed to come back out and ask. So we wait. And wait. And wait. And wait. We waited almost 45 minutes-1 hour for our mains. My father had their Halibut special, with a savignon-blanc caviar sauce. With heirloom carrots. The presentation was boring. The sauce was almost invisible. It's like they glazed the fish at the end of cooking as it rested. The fish was overcooked and the carrots, were carrots. The plating should have been in a different plate, where the sauce should have been plentiful on the bottom, with the fish placed on top of the sauce, and the carrots either leaning or resting on top of the fish. He got a side order of their mixed sautéed mushrooms and they were elegant. Not just white or baby bellas. There were shiitake, oysters, enoki, and I think some Hen of the Woods mushrooms. Oh his drink was red wine. Oh and caviar usually isn't cooked. So I thought this was weird. His meal 1.5/5. My mother ordered their Mojo Shrimp and Scallops. Out of the three of us, she got great value for the amount of food she got. The Scallops were great, but the shrimp were unfortunately overcooked. The rice was ok but cheese usually doesn't go with shellfish. There was an abundant amount of parmesan cheese on the dish. It was only supposed to be on the rice but it was on the seafood as well. Other than that, it was, meh. 2.5/5. Now I, of course, got a steak. I almost got their Ribeye Wagyu, but decided to go with their Prime Bourbon Ribeye. The steak was cooked how I asked it to be, which was medium rare. But the seasoning wasn't their. Couldn't taste any bourbon or brown sugar flavor. No salt or pepper. The onion straws tasted old and no seasoning as well. I got their creamy horseradish sauce enhancement, and a side order of their garlic mashed potatoes, which I've gotten the last two times I've been here because they are great. But not this time. Not enough garlic but texture was perfect. And their horseradish sauce needed more horseradish. Overall may main I'd give 2/5. Oh and the drinks were great. Dad got red wine, which was pricy. About $25 for 8oz glass. I had a Spiced Cherry Mule which was great. Mom had her usual of margarita which was strong and great. 4.5/5 And dessert. Dessert was outstanding. Mom and Dad shared the Turtle Cheesecake, with a coffee for Dad and a Tea for mom. Both the cheesecake and drinks were great. I had their Triple Chocolate Cake, which is enough for four people. So, so delicious and chocolate overload. We finished for dessert over the next two days. 5/5 3.1/5 Total

I was immediately seated in a booth with a grill right in front of the bar with two large video monitors of Korean pop music going with the boys and girls dance vids constantly going. The decorum had the feel of an upscale Asian bistro bar, nicely done. I was a bit disappointed with the meats. A couple of the pieces had gristle and fat that I simply left on the plate. The Kimchi was some of the best I have had...and the garlic chicken wings were fabulous. The key feature of their system is ordering based upon pictures on a tablet. It seems that portions pictured are typically enough for two people to share. There were several dishes I ordered that brought larger quantity than I thought was a single portion...so if you are eating alone, take into consideration that you may end up with more than you might have expected. ONE last note...the Miso Soup was excellent.

My family and I came to celebrate an early Valentine's Day and treated ourselves to a nice dinner. I highly recommend making a reservation ahead of time. We booked ours and were promptly seated at 6:30 PM on a Friday night with no wait. Don't you love when things run smoothly like that? We ordered multiple rounds for our family of 4 using the iPad and through the night, I'd say the foods arrived under or around five minutes. There's a 2-hour dining limit, and we used all of it. The iPad conveniently shows a countdown timer once you're seated, so you know exactly how much time you have left. It's especially helpful toward the end when you're deciding whether to squeeze in one last dessert order. I also really appreciate the transparency of their ordering system. The pricing is clearly displayed on the iPad as you select items, so you always know what you're ordering and whether something is included in the AYCE menu. On one of our other visits, I accidentally tapped an item à la carte that was outside of our AYCE menu and saw the charge immediately on the screen. I notified management right away, and they removed it promptly. This kind of system helps prevent surprise charges at the end of the meal. At the end, they print out a detailed receipt of everything you ordered -- it almost feels like a "trophy receipt." It really reinforces how much food you get for the price and how far your money stretches here. Also note that gratuity was not automatically added (for our party of 4) so we were able to write in our tip. There's a wide variety included in the AYCE menu. That said, on this particular visit they had run out of a few items -- calamari rings, hot and sour soup, house salad, and a couple others. It wasn't a huge disappointment, though I was personally looking forward to the hot and sour soup. I did notice they've added some new appetizers like fried chicken wings. They also offer familiar kid-friendly items such as fries, chicken nuggets, and fried dumplings, which is great for families. Overall, the selection is plentiful -- plenty of beef, chicken, and seafood, more than you can realistically eat. Throughout your meal, staff will offer to change the grill (which is definitely needed after a while since it gets dark and charred). They spray some kind of a protective layer on it - my guess is so the meat doesn't stick. There seem to be two types of grills they rotate between -- one for general meats and one better suited for thinner cuts. My personal favorite is the Hawaiian beef bulgogi with pineapple. I also enjoy the spicy calamari and mini sausages. The garlic shrimp was another standout -- large and very flavorful. You really get your money's worth here. This has become one of our go-to spots for family celebrations. My husband especially loves it -- and that says a lot. We've been to many Korean BBQ places, and this is the only one where he's consistently satisfied with the meat quality, marinades, and sauces. He's very particular about flavor profiles, so that's high praise. The table height is also ergonomically comfortable, which really matters when you're cooking and eating for so long. The tables themselves are large and spacious, making it easy to hold the numerous small plates that come with all the different ingredients. We enjoy the ambiance here as it's trendy and well kept. Service is attentive -- staff clear plates promptly, offer grill changes, and are easy to reach when needed. You can also request assistance directly from the iPad which makes things seamless. It was cool to see they still have claw machines in the waiting area, which is a fun bonus for families. On our way out, they also had toothpicks and candy available. Small touches like that are appreciated. This visit was interesting because they had someone walking around offering complimentary printed photos with a Tomahawk-themed template. Additional prints with a frame were available for purchase ($20). Lastly, I wrote in my review a year ago and suggested a loyalty dining program. Since then, we have dined here a few more times but I haven't heard anything yet on this visit. We would still love for them to launch something! :)

We tried the spaghetti marinara and antipasto salad, but watched mouth watering pizza pies go by as well as giant, juicy looking Italian beef sandwiches. We also spotted an authentic brick pizza oven which was a pleasant surprise.
