My husband's crusted cod with tomato jam and lemon butter was moist and delicious; it came with green beans and a choice of sides. I ordered a chopped salad, there were quite a few salads to choose from, which was iceberg, artichoke, carrots, cucumbers, tomatoes, and croutons (maybe more stuff, I don't remember). I've been to a few Wildfires and this steakhouse is just as good as the rest! The service is always great and the food is delicious. The bar tenders are very nice and friendly, but the quality of drink's has generally just been OK. My favorite thing to order is a caesar salad and add steak on top. I dunno why, but its just one of my favorite combinations and it always turns out great. The only issue I've had is that the steak can be kinda small, but its always delicious. I'm not a steak eater. I enjoy a couple of bites of a filet and love a good Kobe burger and for me nothing is better than a Bison burger. I don't recall either burger on their menu; only the filet which I tried and wasn't even close to being impressed (I've tasted filets at Gordon's and numerous Michelin rated establishments in NYC). Great service and very nice recommendation for food. I chose the steak trio with mushroom sauce, Parmesan, and horseradish sauce. I did not like the mushroom sauce because it was too salty. The Parmesan was ok. My favorite was obviously left with the horseradish sauce. The steak that I got was medium and yes it was really tender but not bloody scary. Went to Wildfire in Lincolnshire last night with high hopes of getting a nice steak dinner. I ordered the New York Strip medium rare but when it was presented at the table, I immediately cut into it to find it was medium to medium well, meaning it was very slightly pink throughout - there was no red present at all. A medium rare steak should have a warm red center and have a soft texture to the touch. Instead, the steak I received was firm and cooked through the center. I'm sure Wildfire employs professional staff in the kitchen. So why don't they know how to prepare a steak? Our waiter handled it well and asked me if I wanted the steak replaced, but I told him I would live with the overcooked steak because I didn't want to sit there without a plate while my friends all ate their meals. Plus, compensation for a screw-up isn't what I was after (or after now). My expectation is that when we go out for a steak at a nice (and expensive) restaurant like Wildfire, they should get it right the first time. Although the au gratin potatoes and the Wildfire Manhattan were fabulous, the overall experience was disappointing because of the overcooked steak. read more

We have been going to this place for years . The service was good but the food was just OK . My steak was over cooked and the roasted vegetable was salty . My daughter loaded potato was so hard. Had Easter dinner at Wildfire yesterday. I had the petite filet and potatoes au gratin. I am familiar with their menu and ala carte sides, but that 7 oz steak looked very lonely on the plate. I love the food. But the ambiance, depending on where you are sitting, needs some help. First, the good part. Any time I am hankering for a good filet, we go here. Granted, this place is a Lettuce Entertain You Restaurant franchise. But they do a great product! My mouth is watering just thinking about it!!! The bread they serve before dinner is fresh out of the oven but I don't particularly care for it. (Is it a light pumpernickel?) My hubby will eat it right up though. When ordering, there are tons of choices. But skip right to the filets. They have quality meat and it's always been cooked to my request and liking. The sides are pretty good. If you like mushrooms, get the side! The broccoli, however.... Well, they literally steam an entire crown of broccoli and plop it on a plate. No presentation what so ever. Very strange! Once dinner is over, they whack you with the dessert tray which makes it very hard to resist. Yes, they literally whack you upside the head. Its a marketing tactic ;) But resistance is futile so don't even bother! I wouldn't say they are the most amazing sweets I've ever had but they sure do offer some delicious desserts that would make most people happy. Ok. Here's why this place gets three stars rather than four. The main dining area is wonderful. Nicely lit, vibrant and active. It has a great vibe. But then there are two additional rings of rooms surrounding the main area that are closed off to the main dining area. The outer ring is actually for private parties that they open up when not being used. I HATE being stuck back there. And it's happened the last two times we've gone. It feels dark and removed and ...wait for it ... Depressing. Really, if it wasn't for the food I would have left. Hey management!!! It's time to update those other rooms. No one wants to feel like they're eating dinner in their old boyfriend's basement decorated with a bar. (Don't pretend you don't know what I'm talking about.) Even though I've been in the mood for steak, I have avoided your place because of this. Maybe other people don't mind. But enough people will start tiring of your out of date decor in these other rooms. Tip: If you don't make a reservation, be prepare to wait... And wait... And wait. This place is always crowded! I asked for the beef Wellington medium and was assured by Tyler it could be that way . So I ordered it. Had an absolutely spectacular experience at Wildfire Lincolnshire last night! Overall, just a Really Good Steakhouse - I can see why four people recommended it to me! First off, the free bread is probably the best I've ever had at a restaurant - they're rolls stuffed with roasted garlic and topped with an everything-bagel-type seasoning. They were hot and fresh and delicious. I got the petit filet, which was excellent, with a side of roasted vegetables - which were honestly the star of the show. So flavorful, but without being too oily for me. I couldn't stop eating them! My boyfriend got a porterhouse (massive cut of steak) and mashed potatoes, both of which were top quality. I noted that we were celebrating an anniversary on opentable, and the waitress surprised us with a brownie at the end of our meal! It was absolutely delicious, so gooey - and I'm not a huge brownie fan. The ambiance and service were both spectacular - this was 7pm on a Saturday, the restaurant was very busy, but we were in and out in under an hour. The place had that good steakhouse-appropriate dim lighting, red tones, and leather booths. I will say, though, it took us a while to find a parking spot - they share a small lot with another restaurant and a hotel. We had to drive around for a bit. It comes tossed with a lemon vinaigrette, chopped eggs, and sunflower seeds. The smallest side version of this is enough to fill me up especially if I order grilled shrimp on top. Their salads come in several sizes which is great if you want to share. Steaks and seafood are great to order here too. The Filet Trio is a good option if you aren't sure what to order. Good wine selection, great martinis and they even have a weekday happy hour. The desserts are great and their Key Lime Pie is outstanding! Had one of the best steaks I've ever had. Cooked exactly to order the temperature was perfect, and served within minutes off of the grill. The potatoes au gratin, and mushrooms were great compliments to the steak. The Caesar salad was acceptable, but not extraordinary. For dessert my fellow diners had the pumpkin pie which they enjoyed. I had the sampler (peanut butter pie, key lime pie, ice cream sandwich). The peanut butter pie was good, but the award winning item was the ice cream sandwich. The key lime pie was flavorless. Based on a colleagues suggestion, two coworkers and I went for dinner. The decoration of the restaurant is classic with booths and tables... even though there were plenty booths available, sadly our host didn't care about our request to be seated in a booth. Our server arrived prompt and was extremely helpful and friendly. The menu is quiet extensive so it took a while to decide... there were so many things that sounded great. I decided on tuna tartare and a seafood sampler with asparagus for entree. My coworkers chose French onion soup, french dip and a salad. All items came in a timely manner. We also got a diverse bread basket. My tuna tartare had a lot more kick than I expected... but it was a pleasant surprise (I like spicy foods thankfully). My coworker commented on the nicely caramelized onions in her soup. Just as we finished our appetizers, our main course arrived. The French dip looked to die for...nice rosy meat on a bun with a nice wide cup to dip into. The salad was crisp and well arranged. The seafood sampler was neatly arranged. The only negative thoughts on dinner: the shrimp on the seafood sampler were "toast", way overcooked (the rest was delicious!!!) And as soon as we paid, the server made us feel like we were getting kicked out even though we were enjoying the ambiance and conversation over coffee... I still don't think Wildfire is as good as Gibson's, Morton's, etc., but it's a good alternative (perhaps mildly overpriced as a result). Even so, their chopped salad is always delicious! I wish they were a bit more consistent- I ordered it without blue cheese once for takeout, and when I opened it, it was covered in the noxious cheese and hard to remove fully, given its ever-crumbly nature. Scallops appetizer excellent The crap and shrimp bisque could be best I ever had. Bison meatballs also excellent. Don't recommend the Martiini flight but if you want one get the mandarin orange. The steak (filet) was disappointing. Average at best - a little dry. I'm going to say go for one of the other menu options. Not to say don't come here but I'm not sure about as a steakhouse. The restaurant is busy and modern. It has several private rooms for some groups. For a large crowd, it can be arranged in the main eating area to accommodate. The bar is very busy as well. So how about the food? The chopped salad is one of the best I've eaten. There's a lot of ingredients,, but every bite you take is crunchy and delicious. The dressing was perfect. The sauté spinach was cooked so well. The steak comes with mashed potatoes but you can ask for sauté spinach. The apple pie is so amazingly good! Wow! Parking was a mess at lunch as it seems like everyone was having their holiday party here at the exact time we showed up, so we parked far away. We were promptly seated when we walked in. The place is large. Our server was attentive and we ordered the large chopped salad to split between three people. The menu says 4-6 but that's probably if you get an entree to go with it but for us it was our entree for lunch. The salad came out quickly and it was large and as good as I remember it being. I also really enjoyed the corn bread that they served at lunch, too. Overall, I really enjoyed my quick dining experience here. I had dinner at the wildfire. They have great specials every night. I actually had the turkey dinner and sat at the bar. I know it's strange to get a turkey dinner at a steak restaurant! I wasn't the only one at the bar that got the turkey dinner there were at least three other people. One of the guys was definitely a regular and he told me that he comes here to get the special once or twice a week The only problem is the location for the restaurant it's very difficult to find a parking spot.
