First time at Wildfire, and I had a great time. I made reservations as this place can get packed, and especially during restaurant week, it was extra packed. The one thing is when it is super busy like it was, there was no parking. I circled for about 15 minutes before I could find somewhere to park. Luckily, my friend was inside and already got seated with our reservation time. Once I finally parked, I headed inside and was shown to our table. They delivered some bread and water and gave us the menus. Our server was friendly enough and attentive. Even though he forgot to ask us which sides we wanted with our entree, when we flagged him down, he took care of the situation swiftly. For a starter I got the Caesar salad, entree 14oz NY Strip with the parmesan crust, au gratin potatoes, and for dessert cherry pie. Our order came out at the perfect timing and everything was correct. I loved the taste of the parmesan crust on the steak, it added such a delicious flavor. When a restaurant serves au gratin potatoes I'm sold because you really see them anymore. The flavor of the potatoes paired perfectly with my steak. The cherry pie was more on the tart side which I didn't mind because I'm not a fan of it overly sweet. It was a good outing all in all. read more

I've been to the Schaumburg Wildfire many times. This is the first time I've been to the Lincolnshire one. The restaurant did not disappoint! They have a quaint bar when you walk in but the dining area was ample. While it very busy inside the restaurant (which good to see) the waitress was still attentive. I was also seated very quickly. The pomegranate martini was excellent and an ample pour. The old old fashioned was also very good. The crab and shrimp bisque was amazing! Their onion rolls were fresh and delicious (and I usually don't like onions). The bourbon beef tips with Ajou was very good and the mashed potatoes are always fantastic. I will definitely be back since I'm in the area often! They definitely earned their five stars! read more

I love this Wildfire location because all of the staff is just so friendly! I had Kathy serving my family and I the other day and she is truly such a sweetheart. Helpful in every single aspect of our time dining. I haven't had this good of cornbread in awhile, i was shocked! Also have always heard good thing about the mushroom crusted pork chop so I decided to try it this time. It was wonderful. My family hosted a private room party May 3rd for 21 guests at Wildfire Lincolnshire. We planned it well in advance with their party planning team, specifically Rachel and Sonia. No matter what concerns or questions I had, they had answers quickly. Their answers were helpful and exact, and proved to be quite accurate. On arrival at the event, everything was set exactly as described. The wait staff throughout the evening was attentive and helpful. The food was excellent; everyone loved everything. They allowed us to bring in a cake that they served without extra charge. They boxed up the leftovers without request in a professional manner. Came here while in Deerfield for work. I had been here before when I lived in Chicago. Came on a Wednesday night for a late dinner. Ordered the appetizer crab stuffed shrimp, the kale salad and a dessert the door country cherry pie. Everything was ok but the crab stuffing had too much breading. The kale salad was kinda bitter and the dressing was just ok. I would have liked it dressed with a light sweeter vinaigrette. The dessert was good but not enough whipped cream. Regardless of the day of the week, this location is always busy so I recommend you make reservations. Food is consistently excellent from the Filet Medallion Trio's, Fire-Grilled Greek Chicken to my go to Cedar-Planked Salmon. I have yet to eat a meal that I did not enjoy. I tend to enjoy drinks on the sweeter side and my favorite is the Stormy Night martini. The ambiance is nice however it can get pretty loud during peak dinner times, so if you are looking for a more intimate dinner avoid the dinner rush hour. While I typically do not order dessert, we were treated to the Homemade Chocolate Cream Pie. Delicious, and not too heavy like some of the other desserts. read more

I've never had a bad experience at Wildfire. On May 11, my mom chose it for her birthday dinner, and no one complained. I ordered the cedar-planked salmon which came with a side dish. I opted for the mashed potatoes. Both the fish and potatoes were delicious. Once upon a time, Wildfire was THE place to go for a chocolate martini -- it was actually the main reason I liked to eat there. Well, the recipe has changed over time, and the current version isn't all that chocolatey. It doesn't even look chocolatey. I still enjoyed mine, but not nearly as much as I used to. Our server was friendly -- sometimes overly friendly, but that's better than being ignored. And when he heard it was my mom's birthday, he brought her a slice of brownie/chocolate cake with a candle in it. Nice! I went here for dinner on a Monday night. It was extremely busy. We had reservations, and were seated promptly. It was so loud that it was difficult to hear our waitress. The decor has a great Gatsby vibe to it. We started out with the calamari, and bread rolls. The bread was okay. It didn't have a lot of flavor, nor did the butter that came with it. Calamari didn't disappoint. I had the filet mignon crusted medallions. It was the best steak I've ever had. The au-gratin melted in your mouth. Lacked salt but good over all. The triple chocolate cake was amazing. There's a tinge of coffee flavor in it. The cookie skillet was a little too sweet for me. The only complaint we had was about the service. What has happened to Wildfire? We were looking forward to a lovely meal as in the past, but our server, compared to the other server we overheard at the next section over, did little besides hand us menus. While the other server explained the entire menu and specials to their table (as did another server near us), Lupe, our server didn't even serve the salad. She just offered us tongs to serve ourselves (!) while we watched the other servers offer ground pepper and serve everyone at the table. And to make an unpleasant vibe, even worse, my full slab of ribs was hard and dry, and had to be re-ordered, which took a very long time. This is not the level of service or food preparation one expects from Wildfire and it sad that their service is not consistent and not at the level it used to be. We will not go back there, and this was an unhappy and unpleasant experience. Fellow diners beware. read more

The workers at the reservation stand block way for customers going into the various areas of the restaurant. They don't bother moving for customers. We had a reservation for 4 and there were plenty of open tables. We were sat right next to the service station and entrance to the bar. We were constantly bombarded with servers walking around us and putting trays over my head, as they waited to get in the bar area. What was meant to be a nice family birthday celebration became a chaotic meal. Thank goodness the food was good. We wanted to try the chocolate cake, but we hadn't seen our server in the area since our food arrived. Yet, there were other servers constantly around us. We needed to get out of the chaos of that area. DON'T seat people there. I doubt we will be back even though the food is good. read more

Very nice inside, perfect for a date night or a celebration dinner. Staff is friendly but service can be a bit slower at times due to how busy they get. Menu had a nice range of options. Over roasted crab cakes were a generous size but could have used more seasoning. The roasted veggies could have been cooked a little longer. The fillet mignon Wellington was spot on. Since the first Wildfire Restaurant opened in Chicago in 1995, we've dined at all five of their Chicago area locations multiple times. Together, they currently rank within our top 5% of favorite local restaurants. The clubby atmosphere, classic steakhouse dishes with a smattering of innovative twists, and kitchen and service staffs that excel have earned our loyalty. We've experienced impeccable food and service in their private dining rooms, too. Sure, the staff occasionally misses the mark, but when this happens they always apologize profusely and offer to compensate. In early October we dined indoors at the Schaumburg Wildfire and, making the best of a rare November warm spell, outdoors at the Lincolnshire restaurant. We love the complimentary melt-in-your-mouth cornbread with its subtle peppery kick. For an app, I enjoyed a small bowl of rich shrimp and crab bisque. My entrée was cedar plank salmon. The teriyaki glaze on the fish was so awesome, I almost licked the plank. And my side of creamed spinach tasted just like Lawry's. Speaking of Lawry's, my Missus had the 16 oz. (queen cut) prime rib, cooked to a perfect medium-rare. It was accompanied by horseradish sauce and an enormous baked potato. Her sis had the Roumanian skirt steak, anointed with caramelized onions and a red wine-spiked jus, and a side of redskin mashed potatoes. Dessert? But of course. Wildfire's key lime pie is a mini-pie--not a slice--with an adroit blend of sweetness and tartness. Pumpkin pie, a seasonal offering, tasted like it was baked by Grandma. Everything was absolutely stellar and there was enough food leftover to take home for another meal. LEYE's coronavirus preventive measures made us feel safe at their restaurants. We're looking forward to an eventual sunny day when the pandemic winds down and we can dine out again. One of our very first restaurant meals will be at a Wildfire. read more

Hosted a private work event and everything was excellent. We had a small private room set up with high boy tables. When I walked it I felt it was a bit dark, but after opening the window blinds it was perfect. We had 3 servers for food and drinks. They were so attentive and polite. The appetizers were nonstop, and all were very good. The coconut chicken and stuffed mushrooms were the best. We plan on having other events here based on this experience. We had a fantastic meal and experience last night at Wildfire. We live in the city and chose this place due to it's close proximity to Lincolnshire Marriott where we were looking for a place to dine after our 4:00 show there. Additionally , I figured it would be at least a decent option given it's part of the lettuce entertain you group which in my experience typically offers a very good meal and good service. This place exceeded my expectations and was really fantastic. Tip number 1 - make a reservation. Thank goodness we had one. This place was packed with not a single empty table available the whole time we were there Loved the bustling energy of the place. Service was very good and the food was really excellent. Tip number 2 - skip the children's menu and split an entree and side with your non picky eater kid. My 10 year old is a foodie and didn't love the children's menu options so instead we split a strip steak ordered medium ( A +) and bbq rubbed sweet potato ( A + ) We also threw in a side of broccoli to share with our party of 4 which was good ( A- ). Not cheap but very fair prices for this delicious meal and excellent service. I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised, although the prices are a bit high for what they serve. The fried calamari was really good. It was tender, not chewy so you know it's fresh being from the Italian culture. I don't get the ranch dressing with fried calamari, but that was just me I had half slap of the ribs. My mother had a Greek salad small, which was absolutely huge along with a cup of the lobster crab bisque. The onion rolls were delicious fresh soft warm understanding it was busy and there were quite a few large parties. EDIT 10/29/22: After writing my initial review I up'd 1 star because I wrote the management about our terrible experience and Matt the general manager personally called me within an hour. He apologized and tried to make the bad situation right. Big disappointment at this Wildfire location. Pick another Wildfire location as the service here is the WORST! We've been to all of them and we live near the Schaumburg location so we usually go there. We were meeting friends who drove from Kenosha and we all especially picked this Wildfire location. The kitchen staff seemed to have it altogether but the wait staff didn't and it was a really bad experience. It's to be expected after Covid that service at any place isn't going be top notch and it's excusable to a certain degree. This was beyond terrible. Our waiter never explained the specials or encouraged to order any drinks which is a usual welcomed practice. He did ask if we wanted any appetizers and we asked if the bisque had any ham or pork products as we don't eat that. He came back about 10 minutes later to take our order and I asked him what about the bisque? He said he forgot and would go ask. After another 10 minutes he came back and said no pork in the bisque. We ordered 2 cups and all 4 of us ordered our meal. After about 15 minutes my husband had to ask him as he walked by if he could take our menus off the table. Only 1 time did a bus boy come to refill our waters. It was not at all busy as this was lunch time. The kitchen server brought our lunches and also brought the bisque which were bowls not the cups. We told the server to take the bisque back as we were waiting for that before our meal not with the meal. The waiter forgot everything repeatedly, we had to ask for more water, pepper. Then to top it all off you we had a 3% fee on top of the worst service we ever had! I would not return to this location. It appeared this was common as a local guy was seated with his party and commented "If that's our waiter we are getting up and sitting in another station!" He was re-seated elsewhere. I love fried chicken and I get emails every week from Wildfire telling me about this wonderful fried chicken dinner offered only on Mondays. So I finally tried it last night. If it would have been half as good as their sides or steaks I'd be giving it more stars. So disappointing, the first bite of the wing was dry and the flavor was so blah, there was just nothing there. The leg and thigh was juicer but it just lacked any distinct flavor and at $22 I expected more. The red mashed potatoes were superb and was the highlight of this meal along with the mushroom gravy. The coleslaw doesn't come close to the excellent slaw at Carsons. As much as I love the steaks here, especially the Porterhouse, the fried chicken was a dud. read more

A year and a half later since my last visit and review, Wildfire has doubled down on scamming its customers, see the attached photo. Now they openly claim that 3% surcharge is to keep menu prices down, i.e., to sell you $50 steak for $51.50 and pretend that nothing happened until you see the check. Make your own conclusions, but to me it's fraud, plain and simple. Speaking of $50 steak - I've got unlucky this time and the rib-eye was tough and full of untrimmed tendons capable of ruining your dental work. But proper trimming would've reduced weight, profit, etc. - see above. Dine elsewhere. read more

I've loved this place my whole life, but recently came for a joint birthday party with my brother and we were underwhelmed. We did the planned party menu, and the food was super slow. Took over 2.5 hours. They're supposed to replenish the courses as you eat, but took an hour to get only 6 steaks and they were all well done and burnt. Drink orders were forgotten as well. This place was great!! I went here with my man for a Saturday night dinner. Definitely make reservations if you plan to come on a weekend. It was pretty busy. The food was great! We got the steak sandwich with broccoli (broccoli was served on a plate of water... definitely not plated well), but the steak sandwich was okay. The salmon was cooked perfectly and not overdone or dry. I got the potatoes on the side which was fantastic. We were celebrating my birthday month so they brought us a cute little cake which was so nice of them! I will go back for sure. read more

My $56 Bone-in Ribeye was sub-par. I expected a piece of meat thicker than 1/2", a real disappointment in my opinion. The roasted vegetables were not roasted they were burnt beyond recognition. I didn't complain because they have such a high opinion of themselves I just won't go back. read more

Valentine Dinner 2024 Had never been to Wildfire & with the raving, this is where I chose to go. High priced so we went with the Valentine special for a couple-great deal comparing to the prices. Chopped salad-good but typical. Shrimp cocktail-OVERCOOKED, hard. Cod-1/4 of it was way overcooked (very small piece to begin with), crunchy & probably not centered while preparing. Green beans & mushrooms-delicious. Prime rib-typical. Dessert-Door Co cherry pie. WAY OVERCOOKED to the point of almost burned crust which was covered up with powered sugar. One cut into my piece and the cherries basically came rolling out, nothing else in there because it was all baked away. Horrible. Waitress was quick on her feet & nice. So horribly disappointed. If it was the hustle & bustle from tables being turned so quickly, they should've been prepared. read more

Now, we all love great service and mouthwatering food, and we were really looking forward to a special evening. Unfortunately, the service left a lot to be desired, and it kinda put a damper on our night. We could tell the management tried their best make things right, but the damage was already done. My hubby wanted a steak for his big birthday and I immediately thought of Wildfire in Lincolnshire! It did not disappoint and we enjoyed the ambience, the exemplary service from Angelina, and the incredible food! We shared a garden salad with red wine vinaigrette for me and balsamic for my husband. It was served with onion rolls and whipped butter. The salad was fresh and served on chilled plates with plenty of dressing on the side. My husband order the NY strip with a baked potato and I had the petite filet with horseradish crust and a loaded baked potato. We did not feel rushed and the atmosphere was lovely. Our water glasses were never empty and the service was attentive without being overbearing. The steaks were cooked perfectly and the baked potatoes were huge and tasty. Our server even brought us a complimentary brownie with a candle for my husband's birthday! We enjoyed every bite and the overall experience. Have been to Wildfire dozens of times, with Lincolnshire being our main location over the last decade. Was 100% not impressed when we went for our lunch yesterday. The French onion soup was amazing. The bisque was good but would had been better if it was actually hot. The crabcake app was decent but the mustard was sub-par. Both my wife and I ordered the prime rib. It was very tough and dry. I had to tell the manager how horrible we were treated when sitting at the bar. I've had better service at a dive bar than this woman gave to us working behind bar. Short, rude and cold. She seemed very upset and it showed. She took this out on us Nobody needs that when spending $170.00+ tip Gave her 20 bucks. Wish I had not. I won't be back because if this. I confronted manager when we were leaving and said he'd talk to her. But.... That helps him not me. Ruined a nice night. Talk to her about what?? Being a jerk??
