The combo was incredible. The octopus was tender and delicious. The duck dish was great. The smoked apple on that dish was underwhelming. The wagyu dish was very well composed. We were excited to go to this restaurant as our first restaurant to check out in Denver and were kind of disappointed. It wasn't worth the cost. It seemed to be upscale with tasty drinks and food. About an hour prior to our reservation we got a message from the restaurant asking if we could come in early so they could close early at 9:00 PM (vs 10:00 PM) due to the weather. We tried to get there earlier than our 7:45 PM reservation and finish our food/drinks by 9:00 PM. We did and right when we were paying our bill at 9:00 PM, the restaurant allowed 2 groups of 4-5 people to sit down and begin eating. It was frustrating that we rushed to finish because of what they had told us but then they proceeded to stay open their normal hours. With the prices they charge for their food and drinks this definitely shouldn't have happened. The food options sounded amazing but the Mahi mahi with potatoes and pasta was served to us cold which made it less tasty. The drinks were great and our waiter was very good as well. I wouldn't go back here because of the cold food and being rushed to eat despite the restaurant staying open for other guests. Definitely not worth the cost and upscale vibes they presented. read more

My husband and I traveled from Jacksonville Florida. We had the absolute pleasure of eating dinner at Wildflower on our first night in Denver. Definitely worth a journey. One of the best meals ever. Worth a Michelin star ****. Wine to start with a delightful plantain Amuse Bouche. Our dinner consisted of Foccia bread with garlic confit which was marvelous. Followed by grilled artichoke, lamb tart also marvelous, a creamy pasta dish w/fresh grated cheese which was sublime, finished off with semifreddo cannoli for dessert. Plate presentation, attention to detail, service ++++ was outstanding. Tracy was our host and gave us a warm welcome. The wine list is also magnificent. I highly recommend this restaurant. I'm convinced Wildflower is Denver's best kept secret... but quite sure that it won't remain that way for long. They've nailed the cozy hotel lobby cocktail bar ambiance that you just can't find elsewhere in Denver. It's elevated but unpretentious--perfect for both a special date night or a weekday neighborhood catch-up with a girlfriend. The first time my SO and I came here, we sat for dinner and then ended up migrating to the bar for a few too many drinks because we were having the best time. We fell in love with the whole vibe (and it's a vibe) and the wonderful staff. The menu here is super creative, and the cocktails are outstanding. Without exaggeration, their cocktail program is better than the Denver cocktail heavy hitters like Death & Co, Green Russell, Williams & Graham, etc. Marigold de la Rosa and the Wildflower are my personal favorites but you cannot go wrong. (Do not sleep on the espresso martinis. Despite being off menu they are the best in Denver. I will give you money if you disagree.) Anyway. We loved it so much that we ended up planning a holiday party at Wildflower! Even in planning the holiday party, Oren, the GM, was incredibly thoughtful about both carefully curating our guests' experience and ensuring that private events didn't impact on the community's access to the restaurant. Our party turned out even better than we'd envisioned, and our guests were so complimentary of the entire evening. The very best part of Wildflower is the people, though. There is no question that we will never be back. The waitress we had was lovely. The food was fine. There is a prix fixe menu but it is not "fixed." It is different for every table. They require that the staff ensure that whatever they serve equals the prix fixe total, which was an obvious stress on the staff. We asked the GM why they would do this to their people and he told us that they can leave if they don't like it. We are almost certain, given his behavior, that he will punish our lovely server. read more

This is hands down one of my favorite restaurants in Denver! The atmosphere is cozy and romantic and the food is absolutely incredible. The first time I came here was with a group of girl friends and the 2nd time was a birthday date with my boyfriend. Perfect restaurant for both! Came here on a first date and it was freezing inside when it's 55 out and storming I was so uncomfortable and didn't know I needed an Alaskan Jacket to survive. Then I guess a dinner party was coming at 730, (we sat at 520) and 10 minutes after we sat, the waiter, was rushing us to order our dinner and was asking us several times if we were done with our food throughout the process, it felt rushed and very uncomfortable. Next I'm gluten free and I wanted the steak which said it's gluten-free and he said that was a typo on the menu that the sauce wasn't gluten-free to order something else and the artichoke was gross. The only thing that was good was the cheese plate but I could've made that at home and the non-alcoholic elixir I had was good. It's a pretty place but bad service and nothing to write home about food wise. Definitely won't come back. read more

Let me start by saying we visited this place totally on accident....we were planning on going to a casual weeknight dinner across the street and saw this place and thought, "oh it must be new, lets go there instead" so I quickly googled and I don't know what I was looking at (A "wildflower" restaurant in another city maybe? I tried to make a reservation on opentable for 2 but it kept defaulting to 5....so we just went and they were able to seat us even though we were in jeans and tee shirts and suddenly felt very underdressed. As soon as we looked at the menu it became clear we were not at the place we had thought we were going. Its located in a very fancy boutique hotel in a residential neighborhood. Its expensive. I did not know what many of the things on the menu were....I was furiously googling ingredients and was still confused. My husband, the vegetarian, is not an adventurous eater....he was terrified. Determined to make the best of this, I ordered 3 small plates (all veg)...none of the large plates were vegetarian. OMG....everything we had was absolutely delicious. I still don't understand what half the ingredients were but they tasted wonderful together. We had the focacia, Pozole and Croquetas. All were wonderful. These were truly small plates but what they lacked in size they made up for in taste. I asked our server for a dessert recommendation and that also did not disappoint. We left completely satiated but not too "full." We spent more than we expected to that night, but it was such a great experience. We already are planning to return with our very discerning "foodie" friends. Decent wine list, extensive fancy cocktail menu we did not even get to explore. Not impressed. Our waitress was not a fan of us from the moment we sat down and from then on it was just a struggle. We ordered focaccia.... sold out. Ordered the cheese plate. Ahh well it needs focaccia so was sub par without it. No burrata. No churros. Why even have something on your menu if you're just not going to offer it? It was so strange. What we did order looked pretty but the taste was severely lacking. I mean the artichokes were gross, the tortellini had potential but lacked flavor and again, half the things we wanted from the menu were just not available. On top of that they rushed us out as fast as they could. We were seated at 8:45 and told to order now or hold your peace essentially. For what I paid... I am disappointed. Each dish is thoughtful in its Colorado native flavors, textures and colors. So many wildflowers, honey, and local ingredients are incorporated throughout the menu. The staff are all kind and attentive. I didn't feel uncomfortable once since all masks were being worn correctly and they did everything possible to stay safe during the pandemic. Well decorated, well, staffed, and a great menu with wonderfully crafted small plates. We ended up trying almost everyone, and it was enough food for six of us when we doubled up. Our waiter was smart and didn't put our entrée orders until we told him we were too full, but we did get one or two entrées and they were delicious as well. We chose to do the premium Bouquet of Wildflowers menu so we could get a taste of everything that the chef(s) loved to prepare for guests.
