Not sure why they have almost 5 star reviews. 1 Star for Setting up my first service on timely manner. Couple weeks ago, we had issue with thr water running slow in my home. Since I had families over, I decided to call Well Fix iT based on their 4.5 star reviews. Upon analysis, the service guy confirmed it was water softner. Since I expressed interest on new water softener, the guy immediately calls his manager and confirms my new same exact water softner cost to replace and install on the same day is $3K. If I decide not to go with the option and just have him place loop through for bypassing the water, it would cost me $450 and the price for installing a new new 60gal water softner would be $4463. I had no choice but to go with the temperory option as the guy speculated that it could also be an aerator issue. Ended up being watersoftner issue and having my final bill of $450. At this point, I didnt want to pass any judgement even though the cost for that loop was barely $30-50 and no way service should be 10 times the cost. So another judgement day (2 days after their first service). I happened to call them up for water heater issue through Home Depot as aparently they are preferred contractor through local home depot. I went ahead and scheduled their service for an estimate at no additional cost. While setting up service I requested them to speak with the manager about the service charge I had regarding water issue. Manager spoke with me and ensured he would call back after he speaks with the service guy. He failed to respond back, and in fact none showed up for the next scheduled service for water heater estimation. They not only lost me as a their customer but also lost 2 contracts - Installing new Water Softener and new Water Heater. This is not a dependable company for emergency issues. Their website uses an automated service that directs you to a call center which will schedule appointments and provide service details. After I scheduled through this service and was told that a free estimate would be provided and would be good for 30 days. I later received a call from the company locally who indicated that the scheduled time was not available (why allow them to schedule then...) and that there would be a $69.99 assessment fee which would be applied to any repairs if chosen. So this company is effectively allowing a third party to schedule invalid appointments with inaccurate pricing information. After I called the local company directly and scheduled an appointment, they called 50 minutes prior to the appointment and cancelled, indicating that they did not have an available technician. If you have any kind of time-dependant or emergency plumbing need, look elsewhere. This company seems to have issues scheduling and keeping appointments. read more

BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE - Purchased a Rheem Soft Water Softener System through Home Depot (cost $399). As a senior citizen, I can no longer do home repairs as I used to and know hot to. Home Depot arranged for Will fix It to contact me for installation. Will Fix It did indeed call and scheduled an appointment to come out to "give me a quote" for the installation. When they arrived I explained that I had purchased the system and needed it installed. Chris proceeded to Bash any Soft Water System you could purchase from a Home Improvement store. Indicated that they were pretty much made cheaply by the same company and that it would probably fail within 2 years. He then proceeded to try and sell me a Soft Water System that Will Fix It sells. Option 1 was a system with a price of $6,520.00 but with a discount of $1,525.00 would only be $4,995.00. Or Option 2 was a system with a price of $5,188.00 but with a $1,525.00 discount would only be $3,663.00. Both with a 10 year warranty. And finally, they would install the system I had already purchased from Home Depot for $1,680.00 with a discount of $393.00 would be $1,287.00 but they would not be responsible for anything after installation. I could choose one of those systems and they would schedule installation. I felt as if I was trying to be taken advantage of by being upsold a system I was not wanting and I thought and still think that $1,287.00 to install a system (that they wouldn't be responsible after installation for) was way out of line. The installation would have necessitated unpacking the box, the hooking up of two water lines and drain lines to an already existing water softener system loop. I ended up hiring another company that installed it at initial visit for $350.00 I will be calling the company that did the $350.00 installation for future work - Installation of a new kitchen sink and faucet. Will Fix It not only lost my business for the installation of the Soft Water System but for all future work I might consider. And, at my recommendation, my neighbor just hired that company for some plumbing work. And I will no longer purchase items from Home Depot that need installation since they referred this type of a company! read more

My AC died and I woke up sweaty. Anyhow, the inside unit was on but not blowing. The outside was off and checking circuit breakers did nothing. I had 2 companies come out to give estimates. Luckily, Elmer's came immediately after the 1st...from Will Fix-it. The Will Fix-it technician told me the contactor and compressor were broken and it would cost $1000.00 to fix. Plus, he urged me to get his supervisor out to get estimates on new unit. When he found out I had Elmer's coming to give me a 2nd opinion, he suddenly wanted to charge me an $89 fee for coming out. I declined and he waived it. Elmer's tech, Jantzen, found blown contactor and estimated about $300, no push to get a new unit now. He was so friendly and honest. I am an Elmer's fan now!!! They replaced the wrong water heater, didn't get permit to replace the PRV valve, supplied defective equipment and faffed off my complaints and harassed me by text and phone until I got the BBB and the Texas Plumbing Examiners involved. WillFixit/ARS has my $10K and I had to spend another $10K to fix it right. I had their equipment removed and politely told them they can pick it up but now they wont pick it up, until I sign a ridiculous release form. Come and get your equipment! This is insane. Our landlord hired this company to check our AC. After a few rescheduling calls due to the weather two men came tonight to check it, walked in, put on their clean cloth booties not to soil the carpet and proceeded to work. Apparently part of this work consisted on grabing one of my hand towels from the wall of my guest bathroom, cramming it into the sink drain, put my toiletries on top of it, drain the ac and then proceed to leave my house leaving mud over my sink and belongings. Besides this being, as my landlor put it "sloppy and irresponsible" I consider it a total lack of respect. My experience with Will Fix It was the worst that I have had with any company. Looking back, I should have done my homework and investigated attic insulation companies more closely. Work that started off well enough ended up being inept and incomplete. Things got so bad that I got an attorney involved when Will Fix It reneged on the pricing in our work contract. My wife and I own a historic house that needs lots of rehabilitation. After getting a central HVAC system and duct work installed, our next best step in making the house more energy efficient was to get attic insulation and radiant barrier. We contacted Will Fix It because they use the Efficient Attic System, which seemed like something that would dissipate attic heat better and also create proper air circulation. We had a service representative come by the house and look at our attic and gables and recommend the type of insulation, radiant barrier, and fans we would need. At their recommendation, we went with blown-in insulation, spray-on radiant barrier, and 12" attic fans that would be installed in the gables. We were given a price and a work estimate that we agreed on. A few days later, the team returned and installed the insulation and radiant barrier. However, they were unable to install the attic fans because they failed to properly measure the gable vent's dimensions. I was told that the service manager would contact me the next day to offer a solution. I waited a week to be contacted, but no one did. Instead, I received a phone call from their billing department asking for full payment. When I informed them that work was not completed as per the agreement, they apologized and told me that they would have the service manager contact me. Fast forward two weeks... no one contacted me. So, I called Will Fix It and asked for the service manager, but was told that she was not available. I left a message. Finally, she called me back the next day and we discussed the problem. She said that she would try to find attic fans that would fit and call me back in a couple of days. I waited a month for her to call me back. At this time, I once again started receiving phone calls from their billing department saying that I still owed them money. I informed the billing representative that the agreed upon work was still incomplete and I was waiting on them for some resolution. Again, the representative apologized. At this point, I was fed up and requested that the remaining work be terminated and that I only pay for the work that was completed. The representative agreed and emailed me the adjusted bill, which I paid the next day by check. A week later, I get a phone call from the service manager saying that she couldn't find a fan that would fit our gables and that she would have to cancel the work. I agreed and thought the work and payment was all settled. However, I got a phone call from the billing department a few days later saying that they had made a billing mistake and that I owed them more money than what I already paid. I kindly requested an itemized bill, which they failed to send me. About two weeks later, I get a piece of mail from a collection agency stating that they were attempting to collect on work done by Will Fix It. I was angry at Will Fix It's sheer incompetence and consulted an attorney. He composed a letter to the collection agency stating that I had paid the adjusted charges (since they failed to deliver on the attic fans) and that they had 10 business days to provide me with an itemized bill. After this letter was mailed by my attorney, I never heard from the collection agency or Will Fix It's billing department again. Will Fix It is a terrible company because they made a measurement mistake at the very outset and then expected me to pay for it. Further, I attempted to resolve the issue numerous times but they either failed to follow up with me or convey my message to the proper managers. Only after I got my attorney involved did this matter end. Oh, and I hired a different company to put in the attic fans. They bought the appropriate fan and installed it in only three hours! read more

I scheduled them to come and diagnose a Gas Tankless Water heater and specifically asked if their technicians were trained to troubleshoot and repair them. They assured me that their technicians were well versed with Gas Tankless Water heaters and told me the service call would be $69 that could be put towards repairs if we moved forward. So we scheduled a visit. The called an post-poned the original appointment 30 minutes after their arrival window had started. Then when they showed during the next window time, I walked the plumber to the heater showed it to him. He looked and listened, and then turned to me and told me that it would be $333 to diagnose the heater. So they basically were trying to charge me $69 service call to tell me that they needed more money before they looked at the issue. Then he told me that they would need to open it up and call a Rinnai tech to help them diagnosis the issue, so they do not know how to work on tankless water heaters...they just teleconference with the tech to repair. I could have already ordered another unit and had it here by now or called the tech myself. They wasted my time and now we have another day of no hot water. I find what hey did to be unethical and will be filing a formal complaint with the state licensing department. ----Update--- Later that day I called the Rinnai tech myself and he had me put in some codes to the computer and was able to tell me what was wrong and how to fix it. I was on the phone with him for just under 4 minutes and in my case it was an easy fix. I was back up and running that evening. -----Will Fix It could have avoided this by telling me a head of time that they wanted $333 to even look at my heater versus having me wait more than 24 hours before coming to my house to tell me. And, they could have avoided this my admitting that there techs do not know how to diagnose gas tankless heaters that they just call a rinnai tech to diagnose it and then follow the directions to repair it. read more

John is the first one to come out and initially recommend what to do and how to extend the life of our water heater and softener before spending money. We had to replace our water tank, softener and the brine tanks. We were given a end of year discount pricing and saved a lot of money. Alex and CJ came out to the house and had everything done in less than 4 hours... I love the service and the way they explained everything to me being new to how the water systems work in the house. I bought a brand new HVAC system from WillFixIt in January '22 that replaced a 13yo unit with rust, holes, and cracks. The initial installation was fast but the rest of the process has been a nightmare! The city inspector had to come 5 different times before approving the installation, meaning WillFixIt was fixing something each time. This process took months! When the seasons changed and the air conditioning turned on everything seemed to be working perfectly. Until June when the AC turned off due to "power failure". Nobody was able to come out and service the unit for 2 days!! Two days in 100+ heat for my family that just moved from a colder climate, it was harsh for my sick dying father. WillFixIt discovered that the drain pan was full due to a clogged drain. And the system is designed to turn off when the pan fill. This is completely unacceptable in south Texas summer. The previous unit would allow the drain pan to drain out of the secondary drain rather than shutting off. Seeing water drip from the secondary drain was my clue that the primary drain was clogged. But the air never turned off and the pan never overflowed. Now it's October and still 90+ outside so the AC is still running in my house. It turned off last week so I knew that meant a clogged drain pipe. When the service mancan to unclog the drain, I asked him to turn that functionality off and allow it to drain out of the secondary pipe. He made this change but must not have unclogged the drains!! Because now my ceiling is leaking!!! Dealing with a new HVAC from WillFixIt has been the worst most frustrating experience! I thought a new system would come with a few years of peace, no incidents, no outages, no hassle. But it has barely been 10 months and I've had more issues than the past 3 years I spent with the old rusty unit!! It is definitely not worth the thousands of dollars I've invested. My 85 year old mother's gas hot water heater went out. I did inspection and it was leaking from core. Told her I can't replace it as it's gas and requires a licensed plumber. i let her handle it as she try's to stay independent. Well, lucky for her she called Will fix it. So she got it done. They even put a wireless modem on it to monitor it. What swell guys! So while visitin, she hands me a paper and ask what this is for. It was a paid invoice for 4200.00!!! From will fix it! 4200 bucks that was also being financed . My brother had paid it off once he found out and to eliminate the long term , high interest loan. will fix it took total advantage of a 85 year old woman who wishes me happy birthday every day. 4200 for a 40 gallon gas water heater. We had a 100 gallon gas boiler replaced at work for 3200.00 By Rooto Rooter, and they aren't cheap. oh, they also bill her 15.00 a month for a retainer fee for priority service. I'm probably going to give the trouble shooters on the news a call to make sure this gets out and hopefully spare another senior or anyone from this roving band of commission driven thieves! I am purchasing a hot water heater from Home Depot and they had the option to "have it installed professionally". I already had a quote to install the unit from an appliance repair person. But figured having a second quote would be a good idea so I checked the box. In a couple of hours, someone from Will Fix It called me to schedule an appointment to come look at it. I asked to just get the price for install/removal but she said they had to look at it. I told her I had photos of the existing unit, the closet it's in, and the measurements of everything. She said no, they have to come to my house. This was my first hint that something was off. But I was already at home for the day so figured it couldn't hurt. The guy arrived and was very nice. I showed him to the (electric) hot water heater and he immediately said "oh, I see this is hardwired. We'll have to put an electrical disconnect on the wall". I said "are you telling me that the water heater I am buying won't allow you to hardwire it"? He evaded the question three times then finally said "You can hardwire it, but we don't do that". When asked how much the "disconnect box" was he said $450. I told him we could just end it right there because the other appliance repairman was going to do the whole job for $450 and hardwire the unit. He said "oh, well, let me call my supervisor and check to see if we *have* to do the disconnect". All the sudden I felt like I was at a car dealership. As luck would have it, no, we don't have to install a disconnect. So there's a fictitious $450 savings right there (if I wouldn't have questioned this so rigorously they would have just screwed me out of the $450 though). Ok, so how much for the install of the water heater then? He showed me a laminated chart of all these various install options. The least of which was $1,500. I said "but that includes the water heater right? I am buying my own and just need the install". He said "no, that is for install only". At which point I told him he needed to be on his way. Then he started trying to sell me on other services they do. As if I am going to entrust them with anything after trying to charge me $1500 to install an electric water heater. Over $1000 more than the original $450 install quote I had gotten. And if I would have not known to shut him down on the "electrical disconnect" this install would have been right at $2000! The woman on the phone could have provided this pricing when I asked. It is obviously fixed as the guy had a laminated chart. Knowing the best case cost scenario for install was $1500 would have saved myself and this repair/sales-person a lot of time and trouble. read more

I had a problem with my water softener. I had the make and model number when I made the appointment for the free estimate to fix it. The repairman arrived about 45 minutes past the "we'll be there between 10 and noon" window. The gentleman took one look at the unit and said we don't work on these. I said I had been very clear when I called, what type I had. He shrugged. He then asked how many bathrooms we had and proceeded to tell me this was an undersized unit for our home. "No offense if you made the choice , but this is for a mobile home at best!" Since I had used the manufacturer guidelines for the original purchase I was not impressed. He then stated they sold a different type of water softener that listed for $ 4800.00 he would recommend. I asked him to leave. Bait and Switch is what came to my mind. Will fix it company is a scammer. Our central air condition stopped working, had them come out to check it. The fan motor went out, but the part was covered under warranty, yet the labor is not. They calculate the labor at half of the price of the part. The part is $1600.00, so the labor was going to cost $800.00 for 45 minutes of work. I know these guys don't make no $800 an hour. Plus they said it would take an hour and a half. A friend (very knowledgable about these things, and had also done it himself), said to buy the part online for $120, and he would put it in. $800 compared to $120. Will fix it scams people by taking advantage of the warranties that don't include labor. Tried calling manager but we weren't important enough for him to get on the phone. They also told me they would call 45 minutes before arrival. I waited all day and nobody came or called. I finally called at 5:45 and asked for an update. I'm writing to share my disappointment and to caution other consumers about "Will" Fix It Plumbing-Heating-Cooling-Electrical-Insulation. The +20-year-old gas water heater at my one-bedroom. 1.5 bath, residence had failed and likely had a cracked base (the unit flooded my garage when it failed). Rather than seek a repair, I selected a comparable unit at Lowe's. Lowe's scheduled a plumber to do a site review to ensure the space was adequate for a unit replacement. Lowe's scheduled that work with "Will" Fix It. The technician that visited was knowledgeable and polite. He recommended a comparable unit and said the workspace was good for that replacement. He also informed me that my residence required a 'pressure relief valve (PRV)' at the main, that would cost an additional ~$1,300. After talking with the technician, I decided to also install a water softener as well, to protect this new investment and asked that he work up a price. He warned that this would be expensive (totaling over $6,000) especially with the need for the for the PRV. The final estimate was $7,200, and they said they would throw in the PRV for free. I blame myself for not getting another opinion. I blame myself for not checking the estimates against the Lowe's prices. Most importantly, I blame myself for agreeing to this price without doing research (I am losing my touch in my old age). The technician who did the install was also knowledgeable and polite; the job was scheduled and accomplished quickly and thoroughly. But as I investigate these prices, I'm convinced I was over-sold and over-charged. Example: The water softener I was sold is a 60K unit--my research indicates this size unit is for a 5-to-7-person residence (I was very clear that that home always had, has now, and always would have no more than two residents--it's a 1,200sf home). Example: I've also learned that PRVs are quite inexpensive despite the labor to install (not $1,300). Example: I was not told that the water softener was not from Lowe's but from their own stock (expensive at over $1,000 plus $500 for extra warranty). Again, I blame myself--caveat emptor. I am a disabled veteran, retired and living on a fixed income in this horrible economy. I blocked off my schedule for Sunday for a consult to install a new water heater for Friday as I work Saturday thru Thursday all day and into late evening. My water heater is cracked and has to be replaced. I scheduled the consult on Friday evening and the had time avaible for Sunday from 8-12. Will Fix It called me at 8:45 on Sunday to cancel my Consult, thus leaving me in a pickle. I called Will Fix It on Tuesday and they sent out a "plumber" the next day. My faucet in the kitchen was running slow and I needed it fixed and replaced. The Will Fix It "Plumber" said the faucet I purchased was the wrong brand and I should go out and buy anther brand. He said until that's done it won't work. On Wednesday I called Will's AllPro on 210 734-8400 they came out the next day and fixed everything with the same faucet that the other guy said wouldn't work. The fossett I bought was a $200 faucet that now works perfectly. I would add a picture of it working if I could, it's a good looking $200 faucet. It pains me to write this review. Will Fix It used to provide great service, but something has changed. When you call Will Fix It they answer the call with "How can I provide you with exceptional service today?" Exceptional service is NOT what I have experienced. I have waited over 2 weeks for a coil to be replaced on a system installed and under warranty with this company. After 10 days of ME calling them, not THEM calling me, I was finally scheduled to get the coil replaced. Yes, Sir! We have you scheduled for Saturday between 2 and 5 pm. The technician will call you when they are on their way. I even called on Friday to verify the appointment was still in the system and I would have someone at my residence to fix the AC. Well, Saturday, 5:00 pm came and went, and NOBODY from Will Fix It called to say they were on their way or that they were running late or that they were not coming at all. So, I called THEM again and was told to hold the line while she contacted that department. Unbelievably, I was disconnected after being on hold for 5 minutes. I called back only to be answered by a call center in Houston, I am in San Antonio. She also told me she would try to contact that department but was unsuccessful. She said all she could do was send an email! REALLY? I highly discourage anyone from using Will Fix It! If my experience is their definition of "Exceptional Service", I would look elsewhere. Their tech came out, I explained the problem and he proceeds to look at the coils and says they're rusted and I need a new ac system. He then charges me $69 for a service call that he did nothing. When I complain, he says the service fee would be waived if I buy a new ac system from them. He then writes 3 estimates for an ac system. They were all very over priced according to other prices I got. When I tried to get my $69 refunded, Eddie, the AC manager, states this covered the trip to my house and looking at the system which I never asked for. They're just scammers with excuses. read more

Way too pricey. 3500.00 for a water heater seems too high. The water heater costs about 800.00 so that means 1k an hour for labor. I will give the zero stars the first time I called was at 12:00 am on the eleventh of this month they told me that a technician will be there 8:00-1200. but the girl called me around 1:30 pm that technician running late and said that he will be there 4-6 pm and then they called back before 6;30 and said couldn't make it so they reschedule Saturday 8-12 in stead when he showed up I checked the out AC unit and found out the coils inside was leaking but he couldn't fix it on Thursday but the coils weren't there yet so on Friday 9Am they showed up with the new coils it toke them 9 hours to finish the But! he called the out side unit and show me that out side unit was leaking too and I told him that you said that the unit out side was not leaking he said it is I couldn't under stand why it leaking so I told him how much will that cost to fix it he said 2,400.00 the same price that they were charging for the job that just finished and on the out side unit it would take two month to get the part I said for get it. so I found other company and he found and fixed it but the technician from Will Fix it didn't do the job right. because it was leaking . Air conditioning broke--it's 80-90 degrees out the last two days. Cancelled but didn't call me to tell me beforehand. Didn't have any other appointments for days. I understand jf they are busy but I waited around a whole day without AC relying on them when I could have called a different company. Worst company ever. Saw a leak in my kitchen after my shower at 6 in the morning. I noticed as I was leaving for work. Checked everything visible at the time and then called and they sent out a guy at 9. He decided it was the toilet told my wife I could fix it buying a small part did no further inspection charged 70$ and left. I knew it was not that. Came home did further inspection, cut open ceiling and found that the drain pipes from the shower were leaking. Called a different company and it is now fixed. Do not use these guys! read more

Craziness: I was exhausted, hot, stressed, frustrated, and confused from the heat after attempting to get " Will Fix it Air conditioner company" to come fix my air conditioning ( they gave me a Friday appointment between 5-7 and NO ONE ever came ... lots of calls and promises to show up ,I waited in my 96 degree house for them. 2 "supervisors" and multiple phone bank people claimed they were coming. At 9 pm i asked to have someone call me first thing in the morning ( Saturday) still no call on Tuesday. I communicated over 10 times with them and no one came or called. "Will Fix It is toooo busy. " and did not fix it!!!I also need plumbing work. I will not call will fix It they are toooooo busy I will use the wonderful people who came out same day and fixed my a/c . I wrote a thank you to them on my Facebook already ,I do not want their name in a negative post , but my friends need to know who the bad company was too. i am now happy and cool, but this company was awful ( Friday 7/14- Tuesday 7/18....no one ever called or came no=no stars read more

f I could give less than one star I would give it. Long story short. I called Home Depot for installing new A/c Unit Chris, a sales person from "will fix it"came and gave us a quote for 17 seer unit and we accepted it got a contract for 17 Seer unit. After a week they came and installed a 16 seer unit..instead of 17. The installers broke my roof. They promised my family they will be back on Monday to fix it and we agreed.upon arriving home from work while I was checking the unit i found out that it was 16 instead of 17 seer. We attempted to contact the sales person who did the contract with us and had no response. It's not a sufficient unit for our house and was not cooling our house. While we were at work on Monday the installer came and did something and when we returned from work we noticed nothing was done to fix the roof and the unit was not installed properly. After several attempt to contact we went to home Depot to report. Last week our house started getting hot inside .we contacted the manager of "Will fix it" and he sent a service guy who found out that the unit was installed wrong and the pipes are not matching.we are fed up with them. It's too much to deal with an insufficient AC with 3 kids and 3 cats and 2 Dogs in San Antonio........ read more

I had a work order request for replacing the garbage disposal. They gave me two options: One that was $760 with one year warranty and the other for $820 with 3 year warranty. I looked up at the garbage disposal that they were going to give me and it costs only $210!! It is unbelievable how much they charge for a 20 min work. Will never recommend them to anybody. Called them to repair a leaking faucet which I had provided parts and still ended paying close to $400. Which I thought was to high of cost to replace cartridges. So I would say they are expensive. read more
