Sadly, we have been going to this KOA for several years now, and in the past would have given 4 or 5 stars. This year, we stayed only three days. In that time, the pool was VERY dirty (murky and green) the whole time, some of the staff were rude (though others were truly lovely), their computers were down so we had a "misunderstanding" with our charges for our stay, and the Wi-Fi was poor at best. The small bathroom near us was kept clean, but they didn't stock the toilet paper in it. They seem to be so busy with upgrading, putting in the new "teepees" and TVs into the cabins that they can't keep up with the maintenance needed. It's like a case of juggling too many balls. That was our last stay there, and we will no longer recommend this campground. So sad to see them going downhill when they used to be so great for families. read more

This KOA has a great location by Williams, AZ and good access to local trails, and fire roads for offroading/ATVs,etc. There are a lot of offroad ATV and such at the park, which was a fun change of pace. Good activities with the new Bear Trax go cart track, and nice and clean playground and pool. Bathrooms are clean and functional. The little cafe is a nice addition, and comfort food. If you book at KOA.com make sure the space is actually full hookups with sewer, we were surprised with power and water but no sewer (probably my mistake) but you should double check you booking. read more

We are staying here tonight and it is nice! The park is in the trees and the sites are good size and not real close together and are all pull through. They are basic sites, with dirt and a picnic table and good WiFi and tv channels. It is a pretty place and in a safe, quiet location in the pines. Overall a good place to spend a night or two to see the area! read more

We camped here for 2 nights while hiking the Grand Canyon. Some features deserve 4 or 5 stars, some only 1. For the good- it's a beautiful wooded area with a very nice store and diner/quick restaurant. It was very clean, although there was only cold water in the family showers. For the bad- it is NOISY!! It's right off the express way with a major railroad close by. Sleeping was near impossible except with a fan and earplugs. When I mentioned this to a few ladies who stay there yearly, it turns out everyone uses earplugs to sleep. Also, we were not aware of the $7 per child/ per night charge. I would have left after one night if I could have got a refund. read more

Great KOA! Location is great for Grand Canyon & exploring Route 66. Very nice & knowledgeable staff. The cleanest showers & bathrooms we've ever encountered camping. Only complaint would be that it's not great for riding bikes & scooters, there is a bike "course" though. We were disappointed that the go-cart course wasn't open yet, website indicated spring 2015, it's July. Quiet at night, everyone is respectful of the quiet hours. read more

Best KOA experience by far. Many of the other campers we got to know during our stay were regulars and agreed with our positive review. The owner and staff are super friendly. Showers and laundry facilities are clean. Dog parks are awesome. Be sure to eat at the Bear Trax Cafe. Great food and friendly service. read more

Excellent koa. Clean facilities, friendly staff. Only downsides: sites close together, shower cuts off after only 60secs (you have to keep pushing button). Also we were told all tent sites have electricity but only saw boxes in a select few sites. read more

This was one of our stops on our Route 66 tour back to California. We had such a good time we extended our stay an extra day. The Bathroom stalls are big enough for this 300lb camper to use. I had no issues with the showers. The front desk staff where great, there where patient as my 3 year old ran-a-muk trying to decide what she wanted. There was one couple camping who asked for Fat Free Milk, they only stock 2%, but I overheard one of the staff state they will get a half gallon for the next morning for this couple. read more

Very nice KOA. Lots of things to do at the campground and near by. About 60 miles from the Grand Canyon. The only thing that's needed are some walkways between the campsites. Everyone walks thru your campsite to get o the office. read more

We just returned from another great weekend at the Circle Pines KOA and we can't wait to go back. The staff is very friendly and the owners are very hands on and helpful. I'm a bit confused by the poor reviews because we have been camping at this KOA for quite a few years and our experiences have been great. There is road noise from the interstate and you can hear the train but the noise isn't that loud and it doesn't bother us.The sites are roomy and the pine trees are beautiful. The camp is very clean. We'll be going back again in a few weeks and we are looking forward to another great weekend. read more

What a huge disappointment!!! Our 3 families booked 2 sites together. When we arrived the sites were apart and they could not find a way to accommodate us. They did offer us two lesser sites without sewer hookup. The owner made no attempt to refund us or even compensate us for their mess up. We came up with 3 families, 3 dogs, 4 kids, and 5 adults and they didn't even offer us discounts on any of the amenities. Thanks for ruining our plans for our families read more

Just got back from spending most of last week here. Seemed nice with a great mix of trees for shade and wind break... Indoor pool is modest sized, nice. Minature golf and rental bikes for the kids were pretty well-worn, but the playgrounds were brand new, so maybe those are next to be rehabbed. Showers and bathrooms very accessible. read more

Our stay at this KOA was a mix of good and bad. We stayed for 6 days to enjoy Northern AZ for some relaxation from the heat of Phoenix. Our check in process was quick and simple. We were given a site right across from the store, which was nice for convenience, but not so great for late night headlights, car noise, kid noise and such. We enjoyed the clean camp site and there was no trash around. The lows were as follows: The women's bathroom was dirty most of the time. There are 3 showers in the restroom but only 2 were avail during our visit. The showers were super gross, and not kept up during the day. There was hair, and water everywhere. Very disappointing. The area around restroom and store are super dated. The staff that worked inside the store were hit and miss. One night my daughter went at 6:55 to buy a soda, and needed 35 cents more, so she said I will be right back I am just outside the store and the lady working said "too bad" we are closing. Your out of luck. Very rude. Our family enjoyed the go carts and walking around the grounds for exercise. There are cute hayrides, and play areas for smaller children. Also if you have dogs lots of area for them to roam and play. The pool area was open but the Jacuzzi areas were closed for repair. Which seemed to be alot of things at this park. The game room had 5 items that stated out of order, also the laundry area had a few machines down as well. The WiFi in the park is horrible. Which was bad when my daughter had online school assignments that needed to be completed. Would like to come back, but looks like with reading other reviews that our issue areas have been that way for a long time, even before us coming. If we return, I would request a site towards the back of the park. Much nicer and maintained than areas closer to the entrance. read more

Reservations at Williams Circle Pines KOA for April 16-24, 2019 were made for occupancy in two large cabins and a full service spot for an RV, which included a total of 14 people. My husband had already checked in with our motorhome. After stopping to pick up a few things, I arrived in a car with an enclosed trailer. My husband met me at the check in and guided me to our spot. A few minutes later, a worker arrived at our site saying, "so you are the guys who sneaked in. You better go up and get a sticker for your front window." I responded that I told the woman with the blonde hair that this person was my husband and we were already checked in. As she walked in front of my car to some other site, she casually responded, "Okay but get a sticker for your window." "We will," I answered cheerfully, thanked her and went on to our site. But I did not understand that she meant THIS MINUTE OR ELSE! We arrived at the front desk a few minutes later asking for the sticker for our window and as soon as the blonde woman saw us, she scowled at us and threatened to dismiss us from the campground, shrieking "Do you want to stay at this campground or not?!" as if we were misbehaving children who should know better and should be punished. I am 70, my husband 76, and the two friends with us at the time are 40 something. We were stunned and tried to apologize for misunderstanding her directive about getting a sticker; but she was unrelenting. She was adamant that our two trailers; which actually fit on our sites, must be taken to a fenced in area offsite--it was policy, we were told. So we did what we were told, we followed a worker to the offsite location and disconnected our trailers, where they remained inaccessible to us--the fenced in area was locked. We had to make arrangements with a campground worker each time we needed something to accompany us to the area, unlock the gate, wait for us to retrieve what we needed, re-lock the gate behind us, and guide us back to our sites. Rules are important and following rules has always been, for us, the right thing to do. However, each day we noticed other trailers, bigger than ours, were being disconnected and left sitting on occupied sites. And it was hard not to notice that there were no other trailers beside ours inside the fenced area. We never said a complaining word. The icing on the cake came the day before we left when we needed to load our trailers and were asked by the worker why they were in the offsite lot in the first place. Those are the rules we were given upon arrival and he responded, "That's not a rule" and that he had been parking people all week and their trailers always stayed on the sites. Apparently, we WERE being punished. The families in the cabins had an additional issue. Towels come with the cabin rental when you pay an additional amount per day, which they did. Yet, when they asked the people at the front desk where they might trade for some clean towels, they were told that those were the towels assigned to them and they were responsible for washing them if they wanted clean towels. When they tried to clarify if the towel policy only applied to guests who are staying one or two days and not the entire week, the woman behind the desk replied, with a smirk, "If you want clean towels, it's up to you to wash them at the laundry center. This is NOT a hotel." So they washed towels for 12 people each day at a cost of $3.00 per wash and $2.00 per dry. They walked away from the front desk shaking their heads but never said any more so as not to cause trouble. We all went along trying to stay under that woman's radar. That should not have been the case. We enjoyed our vacation but the management of this perfectly located, well cared for, beautiful, stand-out KOA unfortunately put a damper on the time we spent there. By the way, we brought more than $5,000 to their business on this trip. Maybe a little continuing education for this particular management on how to treat guests whether they stay for a week or a single night, will improve future stays. I hope yours is a better experience. We will not be returning to the Williams, AZ KOA. read more

Read This! We had a very unique experience here at the Williams KOA. Our motorhome broke down right on their property, we didn't have a spare car to go and buy food or anything. Ron, one of the staff, drove the 4 of us to the grocery store to buy food and supplies ON HIS DAY OFF. He refused to let us even pay for gas. Scott, the head chef, also was such a big help. He even gave us his own dvds to keep our kids occupied while we waited for our RV to be fixed. They are very attentive, the staff would come check on us everyday to see if we needed anything. The staff was always cleaning up any trash or cigarette butts off the floor. The park itself is so much fun! We went go cart racing, mini golfing, bike riding. The playground is really nice too and very clean. Even though we were stuck, we made memories we will remember forever. The guests here were also so helpful, giving us free groceries, firewood, ice cream for the kids. Amazing. Prices are very affordable. Showers are clean and water is hot. Laundry room was very nice and clean. Kids arcade with free books and games are adjacent to the laundry room, very convenient. (We have a 5 yr old and a 3 yr old) Great outdoor activities for kids. Cute fenced doggy playgrounds as well. We loved it so much we might move to the Williams area. read more

Manager extremely rude. We called ahead to inquire about dry storage and water and were told that there is no charge for water if you store your vehicle there and when we arrived we were told there is a charge for water. The manager told us that we were told incorrectly and that it is a training issue. She should have abided by what we were told over the phone and fixed her training issue in house. We stayed here for one night in an RV spot as well as had family staying in a cabin. It was our best KOA experience yet. They offer go-karts, indoor swimming, a huge playground, and the cabins were very nice with a fire pit and propane BBQ. we wish we could have stayed much longer. The showers were clean and try even had large family showers to accommodate anyone needing more room. We ate breakfast at the cafe and the portions were big and tasty. The coffee was not too good, but if that's our only complaint I consider this a win. read more

Horrible KOA!!! It's going to be hard to book another KOA visit without researching. KOA's usually are so reliable; not anymore to us. The loud highway noise, lack of water(they have to truck in water) in the restrooms is absolutely ridiculous and to top it off; the site next to ours was having a family reunion and there was approx. 50 people in the site!!! Leaning on our Motorhome and having to ask people to move to hook up the utilities. This all happening as the maintenance staff circled the park(creating dust clouds) in their new work vehicles and not enforcing any of their rules listed on their site-map check in sheet. Oh... to top it off KOA has a no refund policy!!! So if your not happy with your site; your SOL. read more

Circle Pines KOA is an excellent campground. We stayed in the cabins and were truly impressed. The cabins, campground and facilities are clean and well maintained. This is a great family campground with many activities. The cafe food was excellent and the cafe staff was friendly and provided great service. Our cabin refrigerator was not working correctly and with 20 min of my report we had a new, working refrigerator installed in our cabin. The go carts were a blast! The owner and staff take pride in this KOA camp and love to see people and families having a great time and will go above and beyond to provide excellent customer service! My mom and I had just parked our small camper across the store after being completely exhausted and in need of water and refreshments we saw this and thought it'd be a perfect place to stop and ask about amenities and get some rest. From the second we walked in the store a lady asked "is that your camper out there"? I responded yes and my mother asked for some water and she showed us a fridge that had everything expect water. Then she told us we have water for Rvs if you need that we "sell it to you" before even getting a chance to ask about amenities she assumed we were just some bums coming in to use the showers and water without asking so she says "you know if you're planning on showering we actually charge for that too, and we usually don't allow cars just to park here and people to wander around without being registered" IVE NEVER BEEN SO RUDELY JUDGED AND WAS SO PUT OFF BY HER horrible service she was rude the second we walked in, little does she know we're we're planning on paying to stay and charge up and use the amenities like normal people, but instead made us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable so now I write this to you. Don't come here there's many other campsites with extremely friendly staff close to the area. read more

This campground so far is my favorite by a long shot. There's so much to do for the kids and everyone else! The staff was awesome and super helpful even after the office was closed. The location is great with many attractions nearby not to mention the Grand Canyon is just about an hour away. I hate we could only stay for a short time but our family will DEFINITELY coming back! read more

We come here once a year to escape the desert heat - although it gets quite warm here in the daytime. Evenings and nights are beautiful. The camp is very well maintained and clean. Don't expect a lot of privacy - this is a large place and very busy. It's a bit noisy being so close to I-40, but not objectionable. The staff is great: helpful and friendly. The Wi-Fi is terrible: slow and unstable. I know that going out in the RV you're supposed to get away from home, but I do wish they would look into putting in a CATV system, since reception for Flagstaff and Phoenix stations is poor. If raised the cost a bit to use it that's fine. read more

I normally don't give bad reviews because you can have a bad stay and the campground is still a good place stay. However, I feel that all campers should BE AWARE of how horrible the service was. I have traveled all over the world during 21 years of service in the military. Now retired, I travel a lot more for pleasure and go out of my way to stay at KOA's. I have never been treated so poorly and been so disrespected as I have at a recent stay at this Williams/ circle pines KOA. The manager or supervisor Lori treated me and my uncle ( who also served) with such disrespect. KOA is normally known for their friendly and courteous service. I have stayed at other KOAs all over the US. During these stays, other KOA members have gone out of their way to ensure a great experience. This is not the case with Williams/Circle Pines. A little back story so you understand the whole situation...We arrived late ( after midnight) and checked in via late check in. After 2 days and nights with a normal stay. We proceed to get ready to head to our next destination. One of the campground members came up to my 7 and 9 year and asked if we were leaving today. They said "yes, we're headed out soon" and he left. We left about 11:30 during a hail storm. The campground was basically empty. There were only a few guests in the campground. There was not a line of guests waiting to check in. About 20 minutes later, I received a notice from my CC company that I was charged of $10.01 (late fee) on my card. A charge that I did not authorize. I tried for several days to reach the Lori to discuss the charge but we had bad cell service and couldn't reach her at certain times. After several days, we talked about this charge. In the beginning she was reluctant to refund the money. First she stated we left after 12:30 this was not that case. Second, she said someone came up to us and asked if we were leaving. Yes, they asked my children, not me or my wife. They never stopped by my uncle's camper either. They never told anyone that we would be charged a late fee if we stayed past 11:00am. After talking about it, she did agree to cancel the late charge, and refund our money. She was on her way out of town and would handle it at the beginning of the the week. This never happened. I called her back to ask if she forgot. She stated because the people that we were staying with (my uncle) gave the campground a bad review that she was not going to refund the money. She stated that hurt her campground's reputation. I told her that I wanted a my money back because his review had nothing to do with me. She said she would not. After being frustrated with these comments, I demanded my money back. She then proceeded argue with and hang up on me, after refusing to give me my refund. I ask how can a campground treat their customers that way? As a customer and retired service member, I have never been talked back to like I did by Lori. She treated me like I was below her and it was my fault. I thought the customer was always right?!?!?! I guess at this campground the manager is right and the guest is always wrong. I really don't care about the $10.01. It's about the principal and the lack respect by the Lori the manager/ supervisor. As a person that proudly service this country for 21 years. I would expect a little more care and compassion for someone that works in a resort environment that deals with military personnel on a regular basis. I will continue to stay at KOA's however, I will NEVER stay here again. read more

Not sure what others saw wrong with this campground. We got a two-room cabin and were delighted that it had air conditioning. They had set up semi-portable bathrooms and showers right behind the cabins. These weren't porta-potties - they had real toilets and real showers. Most often at KOAs, the restrooms and showers are a hike from the cabins. read more

Nice reasonable clean showers overall good place only problem is it is cool enough in summer for campfire and if smoke bothers you lots of people will have campfires so the smoke may bother you. Also remember the elevation it will be cool at night all of AZ is not PHX read more

This is a nice KOA as far as KOAS go. Their nightly price is too high! It cost us almost $300 for a week stay. We stayed in October and the weather was nice. The whole week workers were working on a new dog run so it was pretty noisy outside. On top of that they had a burn pile going every day. Kind of hard to sit outside with all the smoke. Also the noise off the 40 Interstate does not stop. I would not stay in Williams. Try to find a spot in Flagstaff. It is not that far. We left a day early because we were tired of all the smoke and noise. read more

Let me start by saying the paid staff here was awesome. This review is not a reflection of them in any way. My issues with this location (that somehow has the president of KOA award) is that the place is run down compared to other KOA's we have frequented. The rental equipment is in disrepair. The pool should be condemned for how murky it is. The TV they "play movies on" is about 15" with seating for 30. The playground near the pool is circa 1990 and made of wood just asking for splinters in little ones. These things are just the beginning of what is wrong here. I could have overlooked these and other issues but on the last night of our stay my kids wanted to get their feet wet after a day at the Grand Canyon and eating in town. We got back got them changed and made our way towards the pool. When we arrived there was no close time posted but it looked to be closed. I tried to open the gate and it was locked at 8:15pm. I walked out front and there were two men wearing KOA shirts one on my level and one upstairs on the porch talking to each other. When I stopped for a moment the man upstairs asked if he could help me with something. I asked what time the pool closed to this exact response "well, is the gate locked? Then it closed at 8." And he continued on with his conversation. I said to him that it would be nice if that was posted or available in the booklet they give you at check-in to which he quipped "yeah uh we'll get right on that". WOW!!! I have read previous reviews and they have stated that the owner thinks his s*** doesn't stink and is snobby. Well low and behold I would have to guess that is who I was speaking to. Needless to say I will not be back to this KOA ever as long as the current ownership is involved. Ruined my kids last night of vacation. read more

We usually stay at the KOA in Flaggstaff. We have always been happy with that location. We wanted to try another KOA in the area. We heard Circle Pines had more amenities but we also saw mixed reviews. We decided to take a chance, BIG mistake. First off the kitchen was closed but we were not told that when the reservation was made, also there are no grills at the site, you have to rent one. Now I'm no genius but why would I spend $25 a night and the another $20 for a grill? The other KOA had grills, trash cans and a kitchen that served breakfast. This place looked like a dirt parking lot with a few trees. The worst part was the noise. You might as well pitch a tent off the side of the road it was so loud my family didn't get any sleep with all the traffic off the 40. Then came the train and whistle every 15 min al, night long, horrible. The staff could care less. Their attitude was oh well sorry, no partial refund or anything. I will never stay there again. Please listen to these neg reviews because it's truth an I do not want anyone to have to have the experience I did. read more

I usually don't take the time to write reviews but our experience was not great so just want to give all of you campers a heads up. This KOA does offer a lot of activities for kids so they deserve credit there. The staff member we encountered was less than friendly. We pulled in around midnight so the office was closed. They leave your campsite info for you at the front window so you know where to go. I thought we were done. The lady from the office called me the next morning and in a less than friendly tone informed me we needed to complete our registration process. I was not aware so apologized and gave her our credit card # for our balance. She could have been more friendly about it. I can get past this but the big issue is the cleanliness of the campground. Camping is dirty, I get it, the great outdoors and all that fun stuff. :) However, the bathrooms and showers were unacceptable. They looked as if they had not been cleaned in a long time. They need to set aside some time to do some deep cleaning there! And one of the main reasons we chose this KOA over the one in Flagstaff is that they have an indoor pool. You assume an indoor pool is heated. Nope. Extremely cold. Our son who loves to swim wouldn't even get in. I was actually relieved because the pool and the spa were extremely dirty. Again, I realize after camping you hop in the pool with some dirt on you but the pool looked like it had not been cleaned in a very long time. The other parents there made comments to us when we walked in that the water was very cold and dirty. We left without swimming. If you're going to offer an amenity such as an indoor pool, heat it and clean it. Just sayin'. We have stayed at the Flagstaff KOA before and I would definitely recommend it over this one. The city of Flagstaff has an "Aquaplex" with a pool, lazy river, water slide, splash area for little ones, lap pool and hot tub so you have water fun options. It's very nice and inexpensive to get in. If you're looking for a KOA, I would recommend Flagstaff first. read more

This campground checked me in five minutes before they closed and charged me the wrong price.I had no knowledge of this at the time. The next day I went to the office and have decided to stay another day. Upon checking in to the office for an additional day they advise me The next night would cost more. I asked why they told me the person checking me in hadmade some sort of mistake. I told them I had nothing to do with their mistake. They tried to back charge me for their mistake by adding $7.50 per child per night. I advise them I would leave and agreed to pay the original charge. After leaving and checking my bill for the credit card online, this company made a fraudulent charge to my credit card that was unauthorized. I called to speak with management and the owners only to find out the owners were in on it. I will do my best to keep anyone from using the facilities to camp and warn people of their high charge per child, and let you all know buyer beware. I suggest you never stay at this place and certainly don't give them your credit card. I hope it was worth it I'm going to spread this on every site I can. I have also filed a complaint as well as charges through my credit card company. read more

We went to this KOA for family get to together , we rented 3 cabins and the big cabin in the back , the one with kitchen ect.... asked that all cabins be billed for max occupancy, we had a party of 32 people , we payed for the extra two tents that were put up. the owner of the camp came by on Saturday to check to see if we all had our yellow bands on to show that we belonged there , told her we didn't realize that we had to wear them all the time , thought they were for use of the pool and other offerings there , she told us about how much money they had to pay to truck in the water so they were asking all guests to wear the bands.........ok so we put on bands , found that we were short a few bands , went to the office to adv them of this issue and found out they had made a mistake on the reservations and didn't charge the full price for all of our party , so one couple paid for the extra people (who weren't even on the reservation) owner came back to site and stated that we still owed them money so went and paid again by the person who actually made the reservation. so camp site was paid for three times. on sunday when we left we were told that we weren't welcome back , because we had supposedly made too much noise , left cabins a mess and destroyed the deck to the main cabin. then had the nerve to charge another 300.00 dollars for this supposed damage. yes we had a large group but we all were in bed by tem pm both nights so how were making all this noise I don't know. They charged the 300.00 without permission of the card holder ( again this was person who had nothing to do with reservation , the only reason they had card number was because they paid for extra people and bought wood) ...........nice campground , but horrible owners , called the corporate office to complain and was told that there are a lot of complaints against this particular KOA for same reasons, will NEVER go back. read more
