Their pizza is bomb. I definitely recommend just calling for delivery though and not through the delivery apps (grubhub, etc) because I generally have issues with that. Which could be the cause of their lower ratings but if you're just giving stars on the pizza it's without a doubt 5 out of 5 stars. ALSO, if you do get pizza here get well done/crispy is key. AND you need to get the garlic knots. Most, if not all of my friends say that they are the best garlic knots in the city. read more

Delicious pizza here! I shared 4 slices with my husband and it was a good amount of food. My ranking starting with the best was: Grandma, Brooklyn (cheese slice), Margarita, Calabrese. I probably wouldn't choose the Calabrese again because it was too meaty, but if you're in that mood, go for it! My husband's ranking: BK, Gma, Calabrese, Margarita. Love Williamsburg Pizza! The Grandma slice here is delicious, and I also have had and loved the Apple Bacon pizza and the Sophia Loren. I'm surprised this place doesn't have better reviews because it's probably my favorite pizza in this neighborhood. Mmm this pizza spot is okay. There are vegan options tho which is great, as well as both square and regular pizza slices. The reason why I'm saying it's just - OK - is because the pizza tasted a bit old. I got the vegan pepperoni pizza (a square slice) and it was lacking cheese and sauce. It was definitely on the dryer side and slightly stale. There were patches of the pizza that had neither sauce or cheese, and in the areas that did have sauce it was dry and patchy sauce -almost like a dehydrated sauce. There was a decent amount of oil that dripped down my chin when I ate it but the amount of oil didn't save it from the dry staleness. It was almost like it was a day old slice that got reheated before serving. Maybe if the pizza was freshly made and made with love n care, it would be out of this world good but sadly I don't think it was. Considering the price and overall freshness of this slice, it is definitely not great. It was a little over 5$ for a average tasting, and slightly stale, small slice of pizza. The bottom of the crust was nicely crisp but the edge of the crust was hard old and stale. I feel like I keep saying that it was stale, but it was and that's what stood out to me the most about the slice I ate. Overall I feel like this spot is good if you're lazy and it's the closest pizza spot to you, or if you just want pizza and don't really care if it's super bomb. Small place, so the lines are always long, but the service is good. The pizza was decent considering its Brooklyn. It dep3nds on preference, but it could've been crispier. So I have only been to this place once but the slice of pizza I had was ABSOLUTELY perfect and I am pretty picky about my pizza...it was one of their specialty slices with fresh tomatoes on top with garlic and basil. Being in Brooklyn this week I decided to try a few of these pizzerias, today I tried Williamsburg Pizza, I tried a slice of the Brooklyn LG, and a slice of Cup & Char Grandma. The Brooklyn LG slice, was very good, it reminded me of the old days slices from the neighborhood, cooked just right, nice crust, nice chew, zesty tomato sauce, very good mozzarella, not greasy at all. Then there was the C & C Grandma, that was a phenomenal slice, the pepperoni, the Parmigiano-Reggiano, Fresh Mozzarella, Tomato Sauce, that was a very enjoyable slice, the crust was perfect, the taste was out of this world. Williamsburg Pizza, decor again is like old-school, brings back memories of the 70s and the 80s. It doesn't take a genius to know that the borough of Brooklyn is spoiled with an embarrassment of pizza riches. Even the most mediocre spots still produce some quality stuff and even outpaces the kind of pies produced in other cities who only wish they could get as close. Williamsburg has been somewhere in the middle for me pizza wise; on some days it feels like the average slice but on some others the experience is good enough to merit another. And another. Like any neighborhood pizza spot, Williamsburg Pizza is on the small side. There are only so many seats and so many of the customers here are eating on the go. Whenever I'm around, I like to grab a spot where I can do a little people watching and enjoy a slice of whatever they have at the moment. Their margherita is very tasty. Super thin slice with the kind of sauce I would want in any pie. There is just enough cheese to give it some bite and I would bank on this as one of their more reliable offerings. Of their fancier selection, I dig the pear, which comes with fresh mozzarella, walnuts, and a dash of gorgonzola for some added texture. It's sweet, a little creamy, but very tasty. A pizza that I should really like but found somewhat average was their kale taleggio, which consists of mozzerella, kale, sausage, pine nuts, and talleggio cheese. This sounds amazing, but for some reason it just never gets much out of me and I've ordered this pie at least 4x because I want to like it so badly. I strangely have also felt that way with the grandma slice, which I know I should enjoy but just felt was somewhat subpar. The staff are an awesome group of folks that make the experience worth it each time. I enjoy the owner's sense of humor and the Mexican guys do a good job with keeping my pies nice and warm when I come by to pick it up. I know Williamsburg isn't the grandeur of the highest Brooklyn pizza class, but it's a solid pick that most people should enjoy. read more

Williamsburg pizza is the absolute best pizza in town. My god the Grandma Squares are like a trip to heaven and back. I don't think anything on the menu could be bad. I was always a loyal Archie's fan, but when they suddenly closed (we all know the horrible story there) I was like, "ok I'll give this a try" and BOOM I was blown away. I've been ordering from here since they opened about 10 years ago. They are the best pizza in Williamsburg and the Lower East Side. You get your money's worth here and they're not pretentious like some of the other pizzerias in those areas charging $8 for a piece of bread and tomato sauce. Picked up a Sophia Loren last weekend through their takeout window. Order ahead to minimize contact! Overall I really enjoyed my pizza. The crust was good and the pizza was moist from the ingredients as it is not a tomato sauce pizza. We added Italian sausage to ours for a bit more of a savory flavor. The garlic and olive oil taste also really cake through. For 3 people, the pie lasted us 3 days. Would order again, p.s. you can also order toilet paper and paper towels with your pizza. read more

UPDATED REVIEW: I feel very sad and upset to have to write this review as I have been a truly enthusiastic fan and lover of Williamsburg Pizza for many years. Here's the problem: I ordered a pizza for delivery. The delivery came - way after the time. It's fine. These guys are working really hard in this crazy pandemic. I open the pizza box and it's the wrong one. Fine. I'll just call and get my correct order. I call. They apologize and say the driver is with the pizza on his way. Fine. Then, the driver asks me to give him the pizza from my house in order to get the new pizza. IN A NORMAL WORLD: I would switch out the pizza and give it back. IN A PANDEMIC WORLD: I do not give something from my house to another person. The pizza place calls me and I explain to them the situation. They told me I cannot have the pizza I ordered unless I give it back because "we have to give that pizza to the other customer." WOAH. So, you're switching the pizza out and then giving the pizza that WAS IN MY HOUSE to the correct guest? The fuck. After arguing back and forth with the place, I told them I want to cancel my order because IT IS NOT OK to give an order back that was initially an honest mistake, and THEN GIVE IT TO ANOTHER CUSTOMER. It pains me to have to write this, because not only did I not get my order correct, I was rudely involved in the unhealthy and precarious delivering practices of Williamsburg Pizza: a place I had LOVED and revered for years. It was great per usual! They have outdoor seating now which was great to utilize while waiting for carry out. Had never had their meatball sub before but my girlfriend is always open to Italian food and this is my favorite option so I have had my fair share so to speak. This one in particular has one of the better cheeses I've had on an MBS (meatball sub). It tasted like fresh mozzarella which you might find on a high end margherita pizza. The meatballs were slightly chopped which I appreciate and had a good flavor profile. The sauce was ok but did not blow me away. The pizza was good per usual but felt that there wasn't a lot of info about the MBS so figured I would speak mostly to that. Will obviously be back for more and likely sooner than later. read more

While he's no Dom Demarco, his pizza sure delivers on taste and quality. Located in a far off corner of Williamsburg bordering the Satmar sect at Hewes St., this pizzeria looks neighborhoody from it's exterior, but is far from that. Using San Marzano tomatoes, grande mozzearella true pizza flavor lives here. I went with a mushroom, regular slice and an arugula salad. Total: $14 The salad with radishes and pecorino was simple, but tasty though at $8 maybe a tad overpriced. The pizzas rocked- mushroom with different mushrooms, truffle oil had a great taste, but the plain pizza STOLE the show. It had a perfectly balanced aurthentic taste of a true Brooklyn slice with a well crisped crust. This Brooklyn Pizza joint popped up when I searched for pizza in Brooklyn in a blog on google which is already a good thing! It didn't disappoint but didn't totally wow me. I liked the crust and the toppings. We went for the bacon apple with walnuts which was tasty, and the one with rosemary. I don't entirely remember what was on it but also tasty, both quite oily. Really solid pie. I did the calabrese. Dough was really solid, but what sold me was the quality of the toppings. Imported olives were amazing. My only negative, and why I had to drop a Star was the onion. My pizza had a full onion on top. No pizza should ever have that much onion.
