Williamsburg Pizza is a great spot for pizza! I came to NY for three days and this had the best vegan pizza of the places I went to! Their vegan pepperoni pizza was seasoned so well, had a tangy and rich sauce, and this addicting oil substance that made the experience so enjoyable. Highly recommend! The slices are a bit on the pricier side; but imo if you are visiting, please splurge!

Stopped in for a slice. They didn't have as many ready made fun slices as I would have liked. Only three fun ones with a few different versions of a marina slice in different variations. I went with a Tartufo slice. It was okay, it has Fresh Mozzarella, Mixed Wild Mushrooms, Rosemary & White Truffle Oil. They definitely mixed up the oils on this pizza as my slice didn't taste anything like truffle oil but like lemon juice, definitely not what I ordered but still pretty good. I liked that they had some seating in the place, was able to get a seat.

(Takeout order) Some of the best gluten free pizza I've had in the city. Granted it's quite thin and largely overpriced for the size. I got a garlic topping with soppressata and the combination was magnificent. Since everything had a strong salty taste, the sweet hint on the gluten free dough was much appreciated. Definitely coming back as I saw there were seats around, and it looked like a nice quiet place to eat and chat!

margherita pizza (no idea if that is how it is spelled) One of my favorite places to get a pizza solid margh pizza. It's not amazing and it's lk sweeter than I expected? But def always down for a slice from here if I am not feeling risky enough to try something new.

Great location and service - fantastic pizza - one of the best in NYC - definitely guys working here know their trade - making pizza crust and adding right ingredients is an art - they are artists here!!! Been here few times before and always their pizza is great - tasty and crusty - the way it should be!!! Place is clean and well lit

More like 3.5 Stopped by for a few slices serendipitously one night and I heard some good things about them. Areas of improvement include - the reheating process could be improved as they didn't taste the warmest or freshest but I do get the sense that these pizzas are artfully crafted. TARTUFO - mushroom and white cheese ; yummy but I"ve def had better and I wished the mushroom flavor was as bold as I've had elsewhere. PAESANO *** - this one I really really enjoyed. The roasted red pepper is the winner here coming through with that sweet, roasty bold flavor as you bite a nice CRUNCHY crust. Theres structure to these slices. The best part of this place is their pizza's crust. The flavors of this slice were really good to boot. Italian sausage decorating it for notes of herby umami-ness. Not bad. May stop by again to try their other slcies.

It's always FRESH!!!!! there ever was a pizza parlor that defined what a NYC slice should be, look no further! From grab & go slices and squares and even pizzas to made to order. Ambiance not too quiet but many empty table to chill.

Pretty good pizza, I'd say the bread was very soft yet crunchy which I enjoyed. I'm usually a sauce girl I was iffy about the sauce but it all came together as I ate it. Super filling as well, definitely left me satisfied for the day.

    The Sophia Loren slice $4.75

I'm inclined to rate Williamsburg Pizza a full 5 stars, but with just one visit and one slice of pizza under my belt, I'll make sure to return to offer a broader opinion/review. I was aware of Williamsburg Pizza's existence since it originated in the neighborhood that bears its name. What I didn't know was that there were several locations throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn including here on the UES. Fairly new to this area according to other reviewers, I found myself on the UES for an appointment. Since it was lunchtime, I was in the mood for--what else? pizza. I was only too happy to come face to face with Williamsburg. The space inside was clean, small and humble with about 6 or so tables. The person behind the counter made a few suggestions regarding the styles, both square and round, averaging around $4.75 per slice. They all required to be heated in the oven and for some reason, Sophia Loren stared me right in the face! No, not the iconic Italian actress--the style of pizza. It was also recommended by the worker. It looked simple---roasted fresh tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, garlic and fresh chiffonade basil. At $4.75, it was a huge , lengthy slice but definitely not simple. The toppings and crust were a perfect marriage. You know pizza is good if it can stand alone without the red sauce. The crust was light as air and crispy but with just the right bend to it. Together with a La Croix beverage, it was a $6.00 lunch. And again, the massive slice was not only delicious but very filling. I have my eye on the mushroom truffle slice for next time. Better yet, I plan on visiting the original location in Brooklyn soon. Williamsburg Pizza allowed me to experience one of the best slices of pizza I had in a very long time. I'm a fan!

    Cheese slice
    Ally R.

I went to Williamsburg pizza on the later side so they didn't have that many options to choose from. I decided to try their classic Brooklyn slice ($3.50). It looked different than other classic cheese slices in the area (in a good way). I was impressed by how crispy the crust was. It was audible- you could hear a real crunch when I took a bite! Definitely not a floppy slice. A definite plus in my opinion! I've seen cheese slices that cost less than $3.50 but this price doesn't seem unreasonable. My experience at Williamsburg Pizza was a good one.

The arancini was a standout: perfectly crisp on the outside, creamy inside, and served with a rich, delicious sauce that tied it all together. We ended on the tiramisu, which was absolutely worth saving room. It was light, flavorful, and a perfect finish to the meal. What really elevated the experience, though, was the staff. Everyone was genuinely kind and helpful--especially notable for New York--and it made the whole evening feel relaxed and welcoming. A small heads-up: it's a bit tricky to find, so give yourself extra time. That said, the hidden, underground subway setting is part of the charm and makes the whole experience feel unique. I'd love to see more restaurants creatively use these kinds of spaces in the future.

To start with the good: the arancini were perfectly passable, and the Sicilian pie was enjoyed by all. I would describe it as more of a Detroit style actually, with a super crispy crust and nice textural contrast. On the other hand, we did not enjoy the seasonal vegetable pie or the nepo pie. I generally really like this sort of no-cheese, umami-heavy pizza, but the nepo was so salty! I'm not sure what specific ingredient was missing, but missing it was. My hopes for a recreation of the rossa pie I enjoyed at Farina prior to their closure were dashed. As for the vegetable pie, the vegetables tasted like the frozen veggies one might find in what was once marketed as a "TV dinner". It was a shame, since the sauce of the white pie was otherwise pretty good.

RIGHT BY THE DOOR. Do people not realize that putting a bar near a door on a freezing cold night benefits no one? Good thing I did not order alcohol or I would have froze to death. Seriously, none of the pies stood out in grand memory. All I can think of is, well, nothing. Nothing positive anyway. The names of the pies are funny, and the staff is friendly, but besides that, the quality of the food for lack of a better word, dare I say it, sucks. Hoping to salvage the meal, I ordered their Chicken Parmesan. It was the Hail Mary pass that unfortunately did not connect. The cutlets are overcooked and dry, and the red sauce cooked with it has minimal tomato flavor. At least the spaghetti is cooked to a nice al dente and mellow garlic butter flavor, but like the sauce cooked in, it is also minimal. Part of the problem I feel is they are trying to go for a vibe that has a New York and modern feel. It does not work. Stay true to one or the other. Or at least look at other business models. I will use another pizzeria in Bushwick that exemplifies it perfectly. It is a hipster pizzeria in a hipster neighborhood. Through balance, it creates an ambiance both welcoming and warm without losing any of its Bushwick character. It does this by not beating you over the head with hipster vibes, just enough to let you know that you are in Bushwick. The band Franz Ferdinand was playing as I was wrapping up. I have to say the centerpiece of the entire narrow room is the bar itself, and let me tell you, it is an absolute stunner of a contrast. Instead of the usual dark, sticky tavern wood, they've dropped in a long, continuous slab of pristine, elegantly smooth white stone. It glows under the soft lighting like a block of polished marble. There are no strobe lights and no obnoxious, skull-rattling bass in this joint. Instead, the room is wrapped in a blanket of incredibly chill music that matches the pulse of the room perfectly. You slide into a chair, order a proper Old Fashioned from a bartender who doesn't rush the pour, and watch the ice melt against the amber-lit brick. It's the ultimate underground exhale--a perfect, narrow slice of peace in a city that never shuts up. Cheers!
