Food always good. Service not so much. When in town we usually order a large amount. Today called in an order and arrived half an hour later. Gave my name and waited 15 minutes. People ordering and leaving so I asked about my order, maybe they forgot me. girl came flying from behind the grill yelling and told me I could leave she has the right to kick me out. I truly asked "anything with my order" she was rude and even when I said I meant no disrespect she came at me again. Customer service is out the window. We pulled off the highway looking for a quick bite that was non-fast food and had a great experience. The sandwiches were delicious, with the bagel and roll toasted just right. I can't stop thinking about their fried eggplant. Sandwiches came with a cute bag of chips and a little cup of perfectly crunchy dill pickle chips. This is my favorite bagel place in the area (not that there many anyway) I can say we're regulars from the day they open. Yes the place is small (and I just noticed is going to be expanded a little bit more) but normally I pick up to go. My favorite is the bialy w/ cream cheese and a slice of tomato, simple delicious, Bacon egg and cheese so good (real eggs done right) ... if I miss something from the city, is the food but with Willi's bagel around I can check something off my list. Mom and pop shop. A little run down but making improvements. Super convenient off the highway. Staff was very nice and the food was surprising solid. First time at this establishment and I was greeted with a friendly staff. I always drive by this place, but was never able to stop in. I purchased a chicken cutlet on a bagel and it was so delicious. The chicken was homemade and flavorful, and the bagel was just like the bagels in NYC. The bagel was the best part, as well as the staff being so friendly and attentive to detail. One of the best bagel and breakfast/lunch places around. The bagels are made fresh every morning. Everything from the pastries to the chicken salad and tuna salad are made from scratch. The service is really good. One of the young women that works there ( i think she's the owner or something) is beautiful. They definitely go out their way for the customers. The bagels are very fresh. I love the whole wheat everything. The two owners are very sweet. I bought 2 tuna sandwhiches but when I got into car I realized they never came with a pickle or the side salad it proposed on their menu. The albacore tuna bagel is pretty pricey. Much less in NYC. Maybe there should be an option for $2 if you want salad and pickle. Ill be back from bagels but not the tuna. read more

I moved up here from Long Island about 5 years ago and have been struggling to find a good bagel in the Utica area. Bagel Grove came close, but the bagels are too small, the consistency is off, and the service is too slow for just a quick bagel or an egg sandwich in the morning before work. Willie's is now my new favorite spot! I had the everything bagel with cream cheese and the bagels consistency was on the money! Nice crunch on the outside, soft on the inside plenty of everything ingredients on the top AND the bottom of the bagel. Also, the bagels are big, not the hockey pucks that you get at other places. The menu looks like a typical bagel place on Long Island with a bunch of salads and sandwiches and sides. Willies has a great authentic feel!!! I will definitely be making this a regular morning stop! My one small critique is that the place feels a bit dinghy. Needs a fresh coat of paint and some decoration, but I am sure the look will improve with some time!!! read more
