Sure you should. So I had the time to drive 20+ minutes from work to get to the northside to try out the Little Wolf's burger bar located inside the establishment and called the "Flip & Howl Burger Kitchen." (Don't ask me why.) I made the drive mainly because I'd asked AI where some of the best burgers were in Denver area and one of the answers (when I asked for "quality ingredients") was "Little Wolf/Flip & Howl Burger Kitchen." Made the drive for the Durango-sourced Colorado Wagyu beef/cheese burger that cost just a bit more than $10 a pop. Rating right up at almost a perfect 5 stars, the drive was worth it. And what made it so great? Not just the burger, but because as soon as I walked in the proprietor's first words were, "Want an ice cream cone on us?" While I thought it must have been because of my stylish aplomb and in-command presence . . . turns out everyone gets the same offer. (What a great marketing idea:). Took my burger, which by the way, tasted great, but of course ate my soft ice cream teaser cone first. Turned out to be a fine idea. End result? When you're looking for a great place for a blue-collar burger at an extremely reasonable price be sure to make the drive to the northside to give Little Wolf's a bite. I would not order food if you sat there. We got the strawberry margarita and a jalapeño margarita. The strawberry margarita was average but we did not like the jalapeño marg. They used pickled jalapeños which was a weird taste in the drink. We were expecting fresh ones. The margs were also $10 each for a tiny glass filled with ice. Overall we were not very impressed with the drinks especially for them being known for their tequila selection. Maybe our rating would be a little bit better if we ordered food.

We got together with a large group, 10 of us, and were sat on the patio with their largest table. The patio is completely covered and they do have heaters. They serve Baja-style Mexican food, burgers and sandwiches, weekend brunch, and boast a substantial tequila list and happy hour. Original Margaritas at happy hour are $6.50. Yes please sign me the heck up. These were great, so much so I ordered two. Definitely a must at Billy's. We ordered A LOT of appetizers for the table. Honestly some of them were just okay/nothing special, however I wanted to call out the chips and salsa. Simple yet delicious. Crispy chips and salsa with tons of flavor. Chicken Enchiladas ($19) // Three corn tortillas, chile de arbol roasted chicken, billy's cheese, enchilada sauce, shredded lettuce, diced onion, pico de gallo, crema, guacamole, cilantro lime rice, black beans. Get in my belly! I love me some enchiladas and these filled me up and satisfied me. I thought the accompanying rice and beans were delicious too. A massive plate of food for what you pay for. Friendly service, good food, strong drinks, and neighborhood vibes. I don't think you'll be blown away, but this is the type of reliable spot everyone wants near them. Almost 100 years in business, clearly they know what they're doing. Billy's Inn for the win!

Unfortunately, they had already sold out of all the bison items, including the bison ribs, which was the dish we were most looking forward to trying. Instead, we ordered the stuffed fry bread with ground beef, and it ended up being really enjoyable. It reminded me of a Mexican pupusa, but with even more filling. The fry bread was soft, satisfying, and made for a hearty meal. The staff was another highlight of our visit. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and happy to answer our questions about the menu, which made trying a new cuisine feel less intimidating. The restaurant itself is small, giving it a cozy and laid-back atmosphere. It felt relaxed and inviting, making it easy to take your time and enjoy the meal without feeling rushed. Even though we didn't get to try what we originally came for, we'd definitely come back to sample the bison dishes when they're available. I'm especially looking forward to finally trying those bison ribs!

Everything is always delicious It can be a little loud, a little crowded, long line, but it's worth the wait and you don't have to wait long. I was sorry to hear that they recently had a fire. I hope they can remodel and open soon. It is a little suspicious that so many great local restaurants are experiencing fire and damage lately, I hope it's just random bad luck and nothing more nefarious.

The "Restaurant Kid" Litmus Test: Parisi Passes with Flying Colors…read more On my first day in Denver, a childhood friend took me to lunch at Parisi, though he was admittedly a bit apprehensive. Having grown up with Italian heritage on both sides and parents who owned an Italian restaurant, I am notoriously hard to please when it comes to authentic cuisine. He was worried I'd be overcritical; instead, I was completely charmed. Located in a quaint, quiet neighborhood, Parisi offers the kind of authenticity that is rare to find. Here is why it earned a perfect score from a tough critic: The Main Course: The Tagliatelle Ragu was balanced and traditional--exactly what you want from a high-caliber kitchen. The "Woodfire" Factor: The aroma of the woodfire pizza oven hits you the moment you walk in. While we opted to eat inside rather than on the lovely patio, those scents alone convinced me that I have to return specifically for the pizza next time. The Grand Finale: I had to finish the meal with my favorite, Stracciatella gelato. It was the perfect creamy, artisanal end to a fantastic lunch. The service was seamless, the ambiance was inviting, and the food spoke for itself. If you're looking for a spot that feels like a true slice of Italy in the middle of Denver, this is it. I'll definitely be back to tackle that pizza menu!

Which makes me very sad. I finally tried delivery from Ginger pig, and ordered the only two vegan dishes they offer Only one was actually delivered. It was delicious. It was not a very generous portion, and the price was high for what they gave me. I stopped in once during lunchtime to see if I could try the other dish and take it to go. But they didn't offer it during lunchtime. They offered one thing that was vegan, it was eggplant. No other vegetables. Just eggplant. That is not a meal. The person working the counter clearly could not care less. I am honestly confused and disappointed that they seem so uninvested in meeting people's needs. So I consider Ginger Pig to be just another heartbreaking potentially delicious new Asian restaurant that doesn't care about those of us who choose not to eat animals.
