ABSURD AND EXTORTIONARY FEE Williston Park TV was supposed to repair my television, which is still under Samsung warranty. My building requires a certificate of insurance for any work done within the building. Williston Park TV told me they charge a $150 PROCESSING FEE FOR ALL COIs. After I first unsuccessfully tried to get my management company to let them in without the COI, I then called Samsung to see if they could prevail upon Williston Park TV. However, Williston Park TV refused to waive the fee despite the fact that it is only a piece of paper and that pretty much any ethical company will produce one for a customer at no cost. Essentially, I am being forced to pay $150 to this company for a piece of paper so that they can fix my still under warranty tv that has a manufacturing defect. Samsung will not pay the fee and claims that there is no other authorized repair company that can service their products in my area. read more

Keep clear of these guys... They cancel appointments without notifying you and there are no notes in their system as to why the appointment was cancelled. They will reschedule you a dozen times. Their tech's don't show up and you never get a call from them indicating that you need to reschedule. When you call to ask why these things happen they put you on a call back list and it takes hours to get a call back. When you do get a callback, their customer service representatives are rude and dismissive. I honestly don't understand how they stay in business. read more

Five out of seven of our Samsung appliances failed in less than 2.5 years out of the box. Yes, five out of seven, but that's another story. When calling for service they scheduled Williston techs to come out. After several no-shows and one change in appointment, our tech showed up to fix a slight leak in our dishwasher. He replaced the part that he thought needed to be replaced, but the change only made the leak into a water rush, rendering the unit useless. The tech, Jason, gave us his phone number and said he could do work for us "on the side" at a reduced rate and cheaper Samsung parts. When I reached out to Williston to inform them about the shady bait and switch tactics they said the tech didn't feel comfortable coming back out and that we should work with Samsung for another service company. Waited over a week for service. Was given a window of 3-7pm. Technician left voicemail at 8pm saying he'd be there at 8:30pm. Called him at 9 he said he was at the house and I wasn't home. Turns out he was at someone else's condo. Finally arrived at 9pm saying he doesn't keep track of windows of time only looks at ticket and he was here so I shouldn't be upset. When I tried to call main number at 7pm to find out where repairman was they have message saying they are closed call between 8:30-4:30pm. Terrible service! If you can get service anywhere else, it's got to be better than this place. read more

Took three months of constant calling to get a simple job done. Their favourite trick when they cancel on you or don't show up is to say that you cancelled. They took a lot of money on first botched attempt, couldn't get them back to repair, and refused to give a refund. Samsung hires this company to fix Samsung appliances and they have fixed many of my appliances. I never had a problem till today when Samsung hired them to fix my microwave. They called to schedule an appointment (girl was not very friendly) and would only offer me 1 day which I could not do, so she rudely told me they would need to close the ticket and I would need to contact Samsung to get a new ticket opened. I even talked to a supervisor "John" (he was equally unfriendly) and he confirmed that if I cannot do the day they offered the ticket would be closed. Its their new policy to only offer the 1 day. I called Samsung and reported this issue/company and I have a new company coming out on a new date. Never heard of a repair company not working with a customers schedule to get something fixed! BTW I gave a positive review just a month ago - but just to clarify that was for the repair person they contracted out of Rhode Island not the company. Absolutely disgusting service repair. My ice maker keeps freezing over, we have a warrenty for coverage. They set an appt for a repair tech to come... Day of we get a call he is sick, we reschedule. The repair tech shows up takes 30 seconds to say they put the wrong work order in, he can't fix it today and he will have to come back. Says they will call me within 48 hours to schedule. TWO WEEKS LATER I call asking why I haven't received a call. They schedule me a new appt. AGAIN, the DAY OF we get a call the repair tech is SICK! We are told we have to reschedule again. The tech FINALLY shows up and after an ENTIRE 30 SECONDS he says oh they didn't give me the parts to fix it so I have to come back. ARE YOU KIDDING ME! This is going on over 5 weeks now! What does the company have to say??? "Sorry for the inconvenience, we can schedule you another appointment." Disgusting people! read more

We had an issue with our brand new Samsung dishwasher not working upon installation. A technician from Williston was sent out as recommended by Samsung support and "fixed" the issue. Immediately after he left, the dishwasher would not complete a full cycle and I was left with dirty dishes and the unit was filled with water that wouldn't dry or drain. We set up another appointment to further "diagnose" the issue. The day before the service, we were told that a necessary part wasn't in stock and we would need to reschedule. What part if this visit was for a diagnosis? The following rescheduled appoint, I received yet another phone call one hour before my scheduled service and was told that their van broke down. Now my appointment had to be rescheduled yet again. On the THIRD weekend, a tech arrived and said that he could not fix the problem but "believed" that the issue was the nozzle for the water pressure. He had Williston call me again to schedule service for the following week. The following weekend a different tech came and indicated that previous tech did not have a good track record, alluding to his incompetence. I found this extremely unprofessional. He asked me to turn off the water and I indicated that the turn off is in our crawlspace. He stated that he had surgery and could not go down into the crawl space. I AM FOUR MONTHS PREGNANT AND HAD TO GO INTO THE CRAWL SPACE BECAUSE YOUR TECHNICIAN WAS INCAPABLE OF DOING SO (but mind you he pulled out the dishwasher and lifted it to place it on its side). If he was in fact incapable of completing the task, he should not have been in the field that day on a service call. I also had to leave him alone in my house while I was in the crawlspace shutting the water off. Typically, I wouldn't do this (I know better...but was so disgusted at how long it was taking for the dishwasher to be fixed. And Samsung would not provide a refund) The tech then changed the water nozzle, and still, the dishwasher was not working. He said that I needed to go to Home Depot and buy a gasket because "it could be the reason the dishwasher isn't working" and replace it myself. Again, as the customer, I should not be conducting this service. YOUR TECHNICIANS ARE INCAPABLE, INCOMPETENT, AND UNPROFESSIONAL. Finally, I changed the gasket after he left and the dishwasher is now working. It is a shame that four month pregnant women fixed the dishwasher after over a month of frustration with Samsung support and Williston. YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED! read more

I was referred to Williston from Samsung. Samsung sumbitted a repair request ticket on my behalf and gave me a date based on Willistons availability. I call Williston and they have no record of any appointment for me. On the 4th appointment I have to schedule, I worked with Samsung who tell me I have an appointment set up next day. Knowing what has happened before, I called Williston to confirm the time and the price of the repair. 1) I am told AGAIN that they don't have the ticket from Samsung and my repair is not in fact scheduled for the next day. So I schedule a new appointment. 2) I am also told that although I have TWO signed service estimates stating that "If the service is authorized by the customer, the diagnostic/estimate fee is waived toward the total cost of repairs parts/labor" the $110 service fee will not in fact be waived. (note I am within the 30 day offer expiration window). 3) I ask to speak with a supervisor regarding the fee and am told one will call me back that day. No one calls back. 4) I call back the next day again to understand why the service fee will not be credited toward the repair. I still don't get much of an explanation and learn that they have NO APPOINTMENT scheduled for me, again! And for the first time, after calling three times, I am also told that they don't have the part and have to order it and I will have to wait to hear from them to schedule the repair. Luckily we are moving and will be using a different repair company, and will no longer have to deal with Williston! read more

Williston values its time more than its customers. They are unable to set up specific appointment times and only provide "all day" or 4 hour windows. For installing our Samsung washing machine, we had to wait around for 8 hours. This is totally unprofessional and not acceptable. read more

Technician and employees are irresponsible. Manager John dodges responding to phone calls. Tech changed fridge temps during repair and destroyed $300 worth of insulin, in addition to $100 in food, several bottles of wine and damaged the bottom been because of frozen beverages. Originally I simply asked to replace insulin and bin, but changed request with John never responding to my calls. The company denied I was a customer to Samsung and they had to provide a ticket number to prove I was provided with service by their company. Truly not a trustworthy company. Terrible scheduling. Gave me an 8-hour window and never showed. I even called halfway through and they guaranteed they'd be there from 3-5. But no, they called at 7 (an hour AFTER the window) saying they couldn't make it. You can't give huge windows and not make them. Absolutely absurd. After fighting with them on the phone (they wanted to reschedule in a few DAYS), I got finally them to agree to come first thing the next morning. Once the guy got to my place, he was very pleasant and was able to fix my Samsung TV very efficiently (busted capacitors, luckily was covered by Samsung one time out of warranty). Relatively pleased with the service itself (only reason they get a 2nd star), but really ticked off that I wasted a vacation day at home waiting for them. Beware or verbal price quotes. I used this company through Samsung for a 19 month old TV. I read reviews and about their $239.00 per TV fee. The company called me to set up an appointment, at which time I inquired about the $239.00 per TV fee, the CS Rep told me not to worry about it. It would be a $110.00 fee, which would be absorbed into the price of the repair if they fixed the TV. If the TV is junk, then I would have to pay the $110.00. That sounded fair so I booked. Tech showed up on time, clean shaven, well dressed, friendly. It took about 2 minutes to pull the back off the TV, which I had laying on my kitchen table. The power supply was bad. It took another minute to replace the mother board, and then, the price. $179.00 for the motherboard, and $239.00 for the labor. I asked about the $110.00 and the tech told me that was only if the TV was junk. At that point I was stuck. Pay $110.00 and tell the tech the over the phone CS rep lied to me, Or pay the $400.00 + and have it fixed. Please make sure you question their phone rep about prices, and when they lie to you, and tell you not to worry about the $239.00, you can hang up and call another repair company. I hope this helps. If I could give 0 stars I would. This company is shady. Samsung sent me to them regarding the defective ice maker in our French door refrigerator. This is a widespread issue on these fridges which leads me to believe this place does many of these repairs. I told them when we spoke that I didn't want them to come out for a $110 service fee if the repair would be more than $600 and the guy said he couldn't imagine it being that much (again this is a very common issue so I trusted him). Repair guy comes out and within minutes says it will cost $900 to fix. SHADY! And we still had to pay the $110. This is a complete racket. read more

I'll never never never recommend this comapny to my worse enemy. They have the most unprofessional technicians working for them. Administratively too, they're among the worse! After a couple of cancellations a technician finally showed up at my house to fix my samsung over the range microwave that I've not even used for a month. This technician wasn't even going to touch the unit because it was unmounted per company policy-understood! Now, after pleading with him to just take a look to see what the issue is he finally opened the front panel and noticed what the issue was. "The good news is that the unit doesn't need to be unmounted but the bad news is I need to order a part" - this was his words. After a week of no call no show, I called samsumg and I was told the technician/ Williston Park notified them that he couldn't worked on the unit because it wasn't unmounted. Completely false! I have a paperwork that he left for me that shows that he was ordering parts. Samsung connected me to them again and I was told there's nothing they can do because the technician is the only one in my area and they're not comfortable sending back to my house. The so called supervisor of his that I talked to was also the most rudest if that's a word, I have ever talked talk to. The bottomline is avoid Williston Park at all cost! I wish I came to this page before setting up my appointment through Samsung, judging by this page they are to be avoided, and I found the same thing out through my experience. An appointment was set up for my Samsung washer, and Williston said they would arrive between 1:00 and 5:00. So I take a half day off from work and get home at 1:00. Around 4:00, I call to make sure they are still coming, and they tell me they had an earlier cancellation, and the technician was at my house at 12:30 and nobody was home. Well, you told me between 1 and 5? They said we'll have to reschedule, I said I'll find someone else..... very unprofessional. read more

If I could give a negative star rating I would! My not even five month old Samsung gas range developed a gas leak where the gas supplies the broiler flame. I detected the smell of gas and called my local fire department who responded and assisted. The firemen contacted my gas company who also responded to investigate. Samsung was contacted and I was referred to this horrible company as they are an authorized service center. The next available appointment was days away, but I had no choice since the other authorized service center that Samsung referred me to does not service Long Island. The gentleman who came spent no more than 19 minutes in my house from start to finish. He turned the gas back on - it had been shut by the fire department when the leak was detected a week prior- and said he smelled nothing. He took the back of the range off and said he saw nothing and left. Well, it didn't take long for the gas smell to come back once he reopened the valve. Needless to say, we called Samsung back and were given a refund for the replacement stove we had to purchase. Why in heaven's name Samsung deals with this company I do not know. My experience echoes many other experiences posted here on Yelp. Maybe Samsung should read the reviews and consider what damage these experiences are doing to the reputation of their brand. read more

Had them out 4 times to repair the same issue with my washing machine and each time they tried to tell me it was a new issue and wanted me to pay. each visit I had to fight to ensure I wasn't charged. Loved the service, moms washing machine went out, call this company and they were very helpful on the phone, day of the call tech showed up and found only a sock stock in the pump, a minor repair was able to resolve it in 20 min. This company is the worst. I had an appointment yesterday I waited for 4 hr. Window they never showed up. I call them this morning they said there was a mistake they'll be here today again I waited 4 hrs. Finally 5 min before the 4 hr. Window was up I get a call from the tech. He said he's 5 min. Away just wanted to give me a heads up that it's going to be about $400 to fix without even looking at it. The guy who made the appointment with me told me $250 the most maybe less. He said he was giving me a heads up that it might not be worth fixing. So now after waiting 8 hrs. Two days in a row they say it's not worth fixing. I called another company it was fixed for $200. I was referred to these guys as they are an authorized repair shop for Samsung. I was giving a 2-hour window to expect them, and received a call about 30 minutes after the beginning of that window letting to know to expect them in an hour (within the time window, but towards the later portion). Nevaro showed up, was very knowledge, polite, and cordial. I expected they would need to take my TV to their shop for repair, however, Nevaro worked his magic and had it fixed, up and running in less than an hour. He even answered some other technical questions about the TV, and was really helpful. I cannot discuss the cost, as none was incurred by me, however it seems like these guys are professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. Definitely recommended. read more

Then he promised me I will be there the next business day at 8am. Well that has not happen. Pros: The technician was friendly and courteous on his first visit...Cons: I was having issues with my Samsung TV connecting to the internet. The technician told me this was a very common issue and he will just replace the main board and the problem will be fixed. I asked him if he wanted to see the issue occurring and he told me "he's seen it before, so there's no need." He replaced the board and asked me to plug the TV in and confirm that it would work. It turned on, and I asked him if it would now connect to the internet. He said "yes it will after you go through the setup process". He left, I set the TV up, and the problem was WORSE than it was originally. I went round and round with their scheduling dept for the next two days. An appointment was scheduled for the following week, which the technician no-called-no-showed! I followed up with them yet again and they rescheduled the technician. When the technician did finally come, he tested our wifi strength and told me that this was the reason for our issues. I told the tech that I had many other devices working in the same area, roughly 10' from our router at 300Mbps, but the tech explained the wifi cards simply aren't great in TVs. I followed up with Williston to figure out why I was being charged over $400 for a part I did not need, and they said "they could have the tech return to swap the board out for another older one and refund me the amount for the part only. The additional +/-$300 for labor would not be refunded however". When I asked to speak with Management, they would not connect me. The representative on the phone has repeatedly ended a conversation short and hung up on me without resolution. I have had to call them every step of the way to follow-up on previous conversations/missed dates/etc. They've put me on hold for 10 minutes at a time, halfway through conversations. It is obvious at this point that they are giving me the runaround hoping I will simply give up. I will be reporting them to the BBB and following up until I receive the refund I am owed...If you are reading this review thinking about using they for a repair, please find another company. Williston TV came as a referral from Samsung to address an issue that I was experiencing with my refrigerator. To make a long story very short, I have had Williston return (4) times in (4) months to address the same issue. Most recently, I had a scheduled appointment for this afternoon. At 3:00PM, I received a call stating that they have to reschedule because they do not have the part necessary to make the repair. However, on Saturday when the appointment was initially made the part was in stock. Whenever I request to speak with a supervisor, they are conveniently in meetings and I do not receive a call back until the next day or later. UNACCEPTABLE. read more

Also a Samsung referral. I'm actually giving 3.5 stars - better than 50-50. I don't know how to give a 1/2 yelp star. Reserving full 4th star to see if repair lasts 6mos. Will give the other half star on update review in the Fall. Obviously my repair was serviced out through the NY office, & I did notice that most higher starred reviews are from Yelpers in NY. Didn't give 5 stars, because had appointment reserved last week, but then got call the day before appointment to reschedule. Made the appointment week before, so reschedule messed up my week's scheduling, too. Other than the appointment snafu - the tech, Jose, arrived on the rescheduled time as expected with a courtesy phone call approx. 30mins before arrival. Jose had considerately put on booties over his work shoes, and was capable & efficient in diagnosing the repair. COD paid for the replacement part, but while Jose was very good - the company dictates $289/hr for labor. Labor was more than how much the part cost! I wish I made $289/hr! Service & part guaranteed for 60days only. I'm aiming for the higher standard of 6mos. read more

Like Mark H., I was put off by the reviews and just hoped for the best to get my Samsung refrigerator repaired. I received an automated call the night before to give me a 3 hour window for their arrival. Joe called me at 7am the next day to tell me he was on his way and that he should be there in about an hour. He arrived 45 minutes later. Joe was very professional, he explained the limits of what could be repaired by Williston, and started his diagnostics. After about 10-15 minutes, he informed us that the compressor was shot (a 4 month old Samsung French Door refrigerator, do not buy a Samsung product) and he'd call into the office to tell them what he found so that they could contact Samsung directly. He even told my husband what we should do when we winterize the appliance. Joe told me not to wait for Samsung to call me, but to contact them directly to help move the repair along. He also called me after he got in contact with his home office to let me know that they submitted the report to Samsung. Unfortunately, my dealings with Samsung haven't gone that smoothly, as it seems nobody wants to replace a sealed compressor for their products. It probably would be cheaper just to give me a new refrigerator than to find anyone outside of the NY tri-state area to come out for a service call. However, for the service that I was able to receive from Williston, I would be confident in using them again should it be necessary. read more

I was referred to Williston by Samsung. After reading the reviews in Yelp, I was very concerned. Fortunately, my concern was unnecessary. The appointment was for 3 days after my call. They called the night before to remind me and the serviceman called 20 minutes before his arrival. He was very professional and very nice. He was very careful with my TV and the surrounding devices. He double checked the problem and confirmed it was the network module. To my pleasant surprise, he had the part with him. I am used to repairmen coming out to diagnose the problem and then tell me it will take a week to order the part and they'll call me when it comes in. I was thrilled when he replaced the faulty part while I watched and even explained how I could do it myself if it ever happens again. The labor was a little expensive but I guess with the travel and price of gas it wasn't too bad. The charge for the part was about the same as buying it online. Everything considered, I was very happy and would use them again. read more

I am giving them 1 star for actually coming out to my home. They installed a replacement part in my Gas stove that was causing a bad gas leak. When the Gas company came back out to reconnect the stove the gas was still leaking. It took the gas company all day to track down the problem; the replacement part was not installed correctly! Use another company! I had a noise in my year old Samsung dryer, out of warranty, Williston TV was assigned and came to repair the dryer. The tech said it was the heating mechanize and made an adjustment. I paid them $120 for the diagnostic. The noise came back 5 months later and Williston TV said they will not honer the workmanship as they only back their work for 3 months and that i needed to pay another $120 diagnostic fee. If the tech properly diagnosed the problem and fixed the problem there would be no need to come back. Don't use a company that will not back the work they do. read more

The worst company ever. Their phone representative are stupid and rude. I got 4 different times scheduled over a 20 hour period. Each time a different rep called with another day and time. They seemed not to know what they were scheduling. In the end they showed up 40 minutes before they were scheduled to fix a Samsung dishwasher and ended up leaving because no one was home. I don't know what about after 3:00 they could not understand. 2:20 is definitely not AFTER 3:00. Also never buy a Samsung product because they use these horrible dealers to do their warranty work. Would like to give less than a star on this one! Scheduled a service repair for a Samsung refrigerator less than a year old (freezer door handle fell off). Had an appointment scheduled for 7/22, then got a call saying the appointment was changed to 7/27 12pm-4pm. Okay fine. Received a message stating time change on 7/27 to 3pm-7pm. Okay. Service technician calls at about 1pm and can come by, but I'm not home. Never left a voicemail on my cell phone, so now my appointment got cancelled for the day. Outrageous!!! I am flexible, but why do I need to reschedule because the technician didn't contact me appropriately. Had he left a voicemail on my cell while I was out, I would have been able to let him know when I could be home. My appointment for the time originally scheduled should remain in tact. I will never purchase another Samsung appliance and will tell anyone I know to stay clear of Williston Park Repair. Horrible!!! read more

Samsung uses this company to perform warranty service. Three times they were scheduled to come out, 3 times they cancelled. The first time they never showed up and never called. Second time, bad weather. I then scheduled for a week and a half later. Third time called to say "It might be bad weather" then changed their story to "no one will be working that day". I checked the weather report and there is no bad weather on the horizon for the foreseeable future. They then told me to call Samsung if I have a problem with that. Every time they are scheduled to come I have to take time out from work. Customer service means nothing to them. I guess my next step is to contact the Better Business Bureau, my state attorney general, and file a claim in small claims court. read more

This is the worst company. I needed a Samsung freezer door replaced and the "certified technician" replaced the door without the rubber gasket, causing all of my food to melt and spoil. When I asked the technician how he could leave without the freezer door sealing properly, he just said it's not my fault Samsung did not provide the rubber gasket. Never use this company, but unfortunately it was the company that was used by the Samsung warranty in my area. read more
