I stopped by the Williston for lunch while on a customer call. It seems to be one of the better diners in the area. The design of the exterior is eye catching and the inside attractive with lots of of visible marble. I ordered the french onion soup which was EXTREMELY GOOD. I love French Onion. A garlic bread and onion where embedded with in the soup and a thick charred layer of provolone sealed the soup! YUM! I ordered the special which was Lamb stew. It was pretty good. The stew had potatoes, carrots, peas and mutton. The stew was green and kinda resembled pea soup. It was large, hot and filling. read more

This is my go to spot whenever I visit my family in New Hyde Park. If you're out for typical diner fare, such as Burgers, Eggs etc... this place is like most other diners - except it is always packed with customers. What does that tell you??? Where they really excel is in their lunch and dinner specials. The portions are huge, the quality of the food is consistently good, lots of varieties to choose from as well. The staff is always friendly and service is usually prompt, except they can be slow during rushes, so you have to give them a break all you snob reviewers. This is the best diner on the North Shore, as evidenced by all the repeat customers. Whenever I'm there I see people I know at more than one table. However, once you start to get into more intricate dishes on the menu they are not great. Horrible! I've been eating at this diner for many years and every time as of the last 3 years I randomly go it's worse and worse! My eggs were as cold as the snow, the woman who runs the front is one rude mean cruel hostess, I witnessed her make her employee cry (our waitress) on Xmas eve non the less. Sucks. This used to be a great place. When I went to go pay the bill, the woman did not greet me, ask how my meal was, did not say thank you just rudely put my receipt down. Love the chickpea salad free appetizer (when we don't have to ask for it) but generally always a good experience - we are becoming regulars! Come here often during work hours for lunch. They're fast with great service and the food is amazing. Everything taste very fresh. If it's a holiday or school is out it is usually a lot more crowded, but they still manage to provide good and speedy service. The paying situation is a bit confusing as you pay upfront on the way out and not at the table, which makes it awkward when you have to go up and pay then walk back to tip. read more

I love that this diner was smart enough to do outdoor dining. They also do curbside which is what we get more often. The kids meals are enormous and my kids have eaten every single one well ... what they could finish of it because it's so much food. Hands down the whole family loves the chicken souvlaki platter. The chicken is so juicy and flavorful, the yogurt sauce ... I need a tub of it! The side salad I have the next day as a full lunch! We have had only excellent service there. Went with a friend for our Sunday morning breakfast ritual. The parking lot was packed, the place is hopping but the service is truly horrendous. Immediately knew there would be a problem when they made us wait for a table when there was a table available right away in eyesight. The waiter comes over and got us coffee right away, refills are on request and it takes a bit to get one as if it's something that is unheard of. The hostess couldn't be happier to greet you and say "Good morning!" NOT! She lead us to the table and basically could have been doing something else with her life at this time. Food came out quickly and it was good but the waiter promptly took away our jam dish without asking, then removed our plates without asking and then took away my toast without asking if we were done. Unreal. ...then he dumps the check on the table. ...then pushes the check closer to us. ...then comes over and says, "Ladies, I don't mean to sound like an asshole but we have customers waiting for this table." Now, I am mad. I am within eyesight of the doorway and I can clearly SEE that there is no one waiting for a table. Yes, perhaps in a few minutes you'd like to see more customers walk in the door but, alas there is nobody there. I have NEVER had an experience like this before in ANY restaurant establishment, diner or dive. I would say PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS DINER and encourage such bad bad behavior. We left a tip because I felt bad for the busboy having to deal with the guy who even said he doesn't "mean to be an asshole but..." Yeah well buddy, think again cuz you definitely ARE one. Looking for a quick bite tonight and we ended up at the Williston Town House Diner. We've been here many times in the past. As diners go it's pretty good. We sat in one of the big booths along the windows. It was nice not to be fighting for elbow room. The waitress brought over small dishes of chick peas and cole slaw. The peas were on the soggy side and the cole slaw was average. My daughter and I both had the burgers. I appreciated that they asked how we wanted it prepared AND it was served that way. Thumbs up. The fries were crunchy and not too oily, also a plus. My wife had the vegetable omelet. The portion size was large, consistent with most diners, but she said it was mushy. Not recommended. Service was average. So all things considered, it's not bad place for burgers, but as with most diners. Be careful when you stray to far from the main stays. read more

The hostess sat us in a booth, where the sun was glaring. My husband had to pull the shade down from another booth area. The waitress just glared at him. My breakfast portion of two eggs and home fries was very measly and small. Meanwhile another waitress behind us took an order from customers and asked them if they wanted a lot of home fries. I don't even think they used half-and-half in the eggs. Our waitress was not rude but was not friendly either. We ended up here because the IHOP parking lot was full . Another disappointing take out experience at this normally good diner. Not sure why they feel they can use sub standard food for their take out deliveries. I picked up the food so no blame on delivery person. Ordered 3 Gyro platters and each one was horrible. The pita bread in each order was hard as if they were stale and trying to revive them. The Gyro meat was again just burnt and hard scraps in each one. They would never serve a gyro like this in the Diner because they know it would get sent back OR the great waitstaff would not even serve it to you. Why ? Why does the kitchen staff think they can take the scraps of gyro meat, heat them up and stick in a to-go order. This is not the first time it has been like this. When we go there the Gyro meat is warm, fresh and tasty long pieces of meat. What we got were small burnt, dried up, short little stubs of meat that were mostly hard. We had to fill up on the great salads. My son questioned why we got extra sauce - now we know. If the Kitchen staff do not want to do any take out then they should either quit or tell the owners to stop taking orders. It is one thing when you get bad food from bad cooks.... Getting bad food from good and experienced chefs is insulting and they should be embarrassed. read more

They serve your typical diner fare so there's not much to note about that, but I've found consistently that their breakfast food tasted better during peak hours than going around 1-3pm. Strange huh? Bacon is always cooked right and not burnt. Waffles are crispy and omelettes aren't dry. We find their breakfast food tasted much better than the lunch menu items like sandwiches and burgers. Prices aren't bad at all for a place on LI (coming from Queens here..). Will definitely be back since I don't live too far! read more

3.5/5 for me here. We popped in on a Sunday morning to grab some diner food and found this place hopping as it normally seems to be on Saturday or Sunday mornings. We were a party of 6 and were able to be seated within 10/15 minutes which I thought was fairly quick. The service was a little curt in the beginning but slowly warmed up to us, I am not sure if it was busy or just a day off but definitely took some time. Getting to the food, we did an assortment of pancakes, egg sanGwiches, omelettes, and waffles which were all good. The food came out fairly quickly and always has decent size portions for what you are paying here so you can't go wrong there. Sort of straddling the 2 1/2* 3 * fence Went last Tuesday (late evening) for the first time and the server was polite and attentive. Weren't too many folks in there, but given the time I wasn't surprised. The place is neat, the food was semi-ok (ordered the veggie omelet and hashbrowns with wheat toast and the toast was the most 'lavorful...) the omelet was bland and the potatoes *needed* the ketchup I glopped on it. It was a good protion, so I had to take half of it home but of course my toast wasn't in the doggy bag :( All in all, the service was the best thing about going. The food could be punched up a notch. I ate here last week for breakfast. Had the western omelet, and everything was super fresh and delicious. (I actually also had a side short stack of pancakes, not my proudest moment, that's a lot of food!) All in all, I highly recommend going here. Probably the best diner food I've ever had. Don't Bother. Came here late night and ordered a cup of chicken soup & Challah French Toast. My girl ordered the french toast as well and a side of potatoes. Chicken soup only comes in one size - but that wasn't the terrible part. The terrible part is I asked for chicken with rice and received a combination of slop. There was little broth, soup was luke warm, and mixed with rice and noodles. Tasted bland as well. Then, our french toast comes out. Mine was burnt and tasted like I was eating rubber. They don't even carry Maple Syrup. A good diner always has Maple Syrup on hand. Then, the waiter told me its not in season - which is probably one of the funniest answers I have ever heard. Did you know there are these big places where people go shopping for food and other items? Its called a Supermarket. Lastly, my girls potatoes never arrived the first or second time. Finally, the waiter remembers and brings it out meanwhile we are finished with our waste of money meal. Do yourselves a favor and avoid this dump. A waste of money for food that could have been made by a drunk after downing 50+ bottles of beer. Overall: Stay away from here, especially late night. Service was terrible. This is probably one of the best diners I've been to in longisland/nyc. The place had a big parking lot and the inside was hugeee and clean (lots of diners have an icky feel) and my bf and I got a big marble booth to ourselves!! They gave a free chickpea dish to begin with which was nice but tasted eh. I got the banana walnut pancakes which very good and had lots of walnuts unlike some places!! My bf got the turkey burger which he said was delicious but a little on the dry side. Be sure to ask for house sauces! They also served the food in under 10 minutes of ordering which felt so fast. Awesome medium sized diner; quick servers who are very polite and funny; and the food is decent. The diner has a small parking lot (possibly upto 20 cars max) but there's also side street parking. The only big con to this place are the other guests - and I mean the young, loud teenagers who frequent this place. Legit these teens have no manners (loud and not shy AF) even in front of their parents. It might be due to the neighborhood, but if that turns you off I would stay the far eff from here. read more

Was here one 12 years ago not impressed. Came back twice recently and boy did I have the wrong impression!! The omelettes are fantastic. You get so much food and it's all delicious. My husband raved about the "over medium" eggs. Being the food snob that he is, he has very high expectations that his eggs are cooked to perfection, or it's difficult for him to eat them. The food was decent but the service was absolutely horrible. Our waiter disappeared when we asked him for a refill of our drink. We had to ask another server for a drink refill. Usually that wouldn't prompt me to write a bad review. What really shocked me was the way the owner treated us. Me and my friend (both young females) were still eating while the owner came over and asked me how my fries were. I said okay and then without further discussion or question he placed the check face down on the table. Me and my friend were definitely thrown off because we were still eating and we weren't sure if we wanted anything else. My friend got her salad wrapped to go and we didn't even have a chance to ask our server for a to go bag. After both my friend and I sat there dumbfounded I asked the owner for a to go bag. He came back with one and mumbled under his breath "I'm not sure why they didn't give you one, they must've not liked you". I asked him to clarify what he said and he responded that he was only joking. I have worked in the service industry for years and I couldn't imagine treating someone like this. Me and my friend were speechless and uncomfortable. I cannot fathom why anyone would treat their patrons like this and be so rude as to mumble under your breath that your staff doesn't like us. We were quiet and respectful and just wanted some food. I would not recommend this place to anyone just because of how uncomfortable we felt. I wouldn't want anyone to feel like this. I call tonight and tell them they did that as per the owners instruction the ahole who the owner put to take my order had the balls to tell me the person might have been fired. This is a perfect example of looks like Tarzan but tastes like Jane . It's kind of like this it look like a turkey club but nothing has any seasoning to it and the turkey meat was Ultra dry and the bacon was from this morning and they forgot to add any love to it and the toast is burnt and cold that's pretty hard to do you just don't give a damn anymore I can see that this Diner could have potential to have decent food but for now it's stuck in the muck and mire of mediocrity I guess in this area people put up with this kind of crap but it is what it is if you have the time find a nicer place. read more

I never get tired of the turkey burger here. The all white meat patty is grilled to perfection having a charcoal flavor with every bite.
