Wow the food was outstanding! We went this past Saturday night and I have to say that.... I know this place turns into a club at night but the service and food was outstanding. At our table of five we ordered fried calamari, chicken wings and roasted cauliflower for appetizers. Can I just say that the cauliflower was so good I wish I had ordered it for my meal! It has this amazing lemony sauce underneath - we all ate that and wished we had more! calamari cooked really well nice and crispy ... My friends and I went for their Sunday brunch. They start you out with a mini parfait, which was so cute and tasty. We did the "bottomless" mimosas in their hibiscus flavor (although we had the option of multiple flavors), it was different, but the good kind of different I ordered a fried chicken Benedict. It's not on the menu, but they are very accommodating and were more than happy to create this for me. The Benedict was absolutely amazing and the home fries that I had as my side were seasoned perfectly. I also ordered a side caesar salad and added grilled shrimp to it, it was so good that I wanted to go back the next day and order another. We stayed for their day party. The DJ was great and the drinks were perfectly mixed. With the added drinks, we got hungry again, so we ordered more food We got wings, calamari, and fries all of which were cooked to perfection. The staff were all extremely friendly and great to be around. The manager Shah, our waitress Mariah, and bartender Winter took great care of us the entire time. 11/18 Just left after waiting for about ten minutes and never have a waiter come to take our drink orders. Such a shame they have the best brunch in the Arlington area. Edit: Thank you for taking the time to respond to my post and I completely understand that there may have been complications which affected service. However communication is a major component of customer service. The hostess never communicated that there was any issues that may have affected service. She just sat us down and we sat there for 10 minutes without any one coming to our table. She again, never communicated to us when we were leaving and told her how long we waited without anyone coming to our table. This is a really cool spot that we lucked upon. I went for brunch. It's all small plates and that's important to know. The most impressive dishes for were the French toast and the waffle, including the chicken and waffle. The mimosas were delicious as well. All and all I'd come back and I highly recommend. I went here on a typical weekend night and my bartender got me the beer I ordered and cut his hand while opening it. He got blood on my bottle and still tried to serve me it, which is disgusting and a violation of multiple health codes. Do not go here if you want to be served in a sanitary manner. Awesome place for happy hour! We went here a few weeks ago and ordered the two cocktails off of the happy hour menu. We both preferred the watermelon one. The prices on the HH drinks were very reasonable. We then ordered a hardware burger and the Asian salad which were both okay. The salad dressing was not very good and there was very minimal steak. I wanted to go out for a nice dinner that was close to home, but didn't want to spend half of my Friday night on a wait list. I was able to make a reservation through Yelp for Wilson Hardware and when I showed up I was immediately seated by a very friendly hostess. There were a few people ahead of us and I heard that the wait was about 30-40 minutes so I was happy that I had made the reservation. We were seated on the lower level along a row of booths. The tables were pretty close together and didn't provide a lot of room, but we didn't mind the tight quarters. There are three floors and multiple bars which makes the restaurant a bit loud. If I was looking for a quiet, intimate setting I would have been disappointed, but the environment was fun, youthful, and a nice change from the many sports bars in the Clarendon area. We ordered a bottle of wine with our meal, but I want to try their cocktail selection next time I go because it looked really nice! I saw on the menu they run a weekday Happy Hour which is nice because their drink prices are still a bit steep. There were a lot more options on the menu we saw in person than the menu I looked at online which was a pleasant surprise. I ordered the Vegan Medley and my friend ordered the Bacon Mac and Cheese. She really liked the mac and cheese, but the vegan medley was a bit disappointing. I give any restaurant including vegetarian and vegan options, but this was basically just grilled vegetables and hummus. I could have made it at home. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't that great either. Our server was really nice and attentive. He checked in with us throughout the meal and I never felt rushed. My friends and I (group of 20) enjoyed the bottomless happy hour Sunday morning. The customer service was excellent (we had an allergy and they were extremely accommodating to the single person), and the food was delicious. For large parties, the restaurant delivers food "family style" which means each food order will be a serving for four. Because our party was so large, we were able to try everything on the menu. The chicken and waffles were my favorite- the waffles especially were so good! Also the drinks were great. I look forward to coming back here. read more

Good pick but nothing amazing. Ambiance is fun and hip but I think the bare walls may have contributed to the noise level. It was difficult to hear and there weren't even that many people there. Drinks are unique and fun! My friend had the permit denied and said that it was well blended and refreshing (tequila and watermelon). I had the nailed it slushie. It was a little small but delicious and plenty strong. Food was nothing remarkable. We started with the fritters which were good but there were relatively few considering the price. The sauce was spicy and interesting but overpowered the cheese and corn flavors. I had the avocado burger medium. It was REALLY undercooked and fell apart easily. I popped the fried egg and it ran pink with the raw burger. The burger was runny and made everything else on the burger soggy. Honestly, I've had better burgers at big chains for half the price. The fries were fine but nothing special. My friend had the quinoa salad with chicken which was beautifully presented and she said the dressing and avocado was well balanced. Our server was really uncomfortable and came by WAY too frequently. He came at least three times within the first ten minutes of us getting our food to check in - to the point where it was disruptive. I've been here for drinks with girlfriends and also for a Sunday afternoon with appetizers and drinks on the patio. I love the ambiance, and the fact that it has spaces with different vibes, you can enjoy the dimly lit and chic looking main floor, the summery patio, or the outdoor bar upstairs. The drinks are great, and the food I've had is good too. I loved my roasted cauliflower with lemon aioli, and the egg was perfectly cooked. I've had the calamari too and it's pretty good. This is a nice place for groups because the menu has something for everyone, including vegetarian and gluten free. Service is great and very personable too. Our waitress, Gracie, was very kind, attentive, and quick to bring us our food and drinks. I would love to see this place turn into a dance spot at night! Mimosas are not included in this "bottomless" brunch; it is $0.25 per glass. It may just be a quarter, but if other brunch establishments can include bottomless mimosas, you just wonder why this one can't. You will also keep on flagging the server to take your orders. (Someone from my group observed that looks to be a tactic they have of making you eat less.) It's like pulling teeth. If you are looking for a positive atmosphere, good food and cocktails in Northern Virginia, I recommend this spot! Wilson Hardware by its name, actually used to be a legit hardware store - and this is reflected in the menu which is very cool! It is also fitting for both a night out with friends or a romantic date. I'll highlight a couple of things on the menu - for drinks try the Bright Idea, a tequila based citrusy cocktail presented in an awesome way! Appetizer get the panzerotti, it's SO tasty I wanted seconds. Then for your main try the salmon or the avocado burger, and finish off with the hazelnut chocolate cake which has all these yummy layers and textures! I'll be going back soon. read more

Really pleasantly surprised by Wilson Hardware! My boyfriend and I came here after a pretty thorough Yelp search for new spots for dinner. Wilson Hardware looked pretty good, and we were able to get a reservation for 7:30pm on a Saturday night that I made at 6:30pm that same night. The inside was smaller than I was expecting, but we were seated immediately once we arrived. Our server was very attentive, and had great drink recommendations. After seeing some meals with fries come out of the kitchen, we both decided to order sandwiches with french fries - and we were not disappointed. I really enjoyed my chicken sandwich, and he enjoyed the steak frites. The calamari smelled delicious, but we didn't order any. Parking was hard because it was Clarendon on a Saturday night. We were able to hear each other talk, which is always a plus for the atmosphere. They have big screens for sports, but they weren't too distracting. Been to a number of soft openings and restaurants in Arlington for that matter and I have to say this was one the best, by far. The staff was well trained, respectful, well-mannered, and knowledgeable and certainly exceeded my expectations for not just a soft opening but even a restaurant in general. If I didn't know better I'd have guessed it's been open for at least a year. The menu had a lot of great choices and the cocktails looked great, they had some pretty clever names too. All in all this is a 5/5 and I will definitely be coming her be often. Also to this Ryan guy who commented saying the TV's ruined the environment, perhaps you should get out more or do some research before leaving a poor comment. Wilson hardware hit the nail on the head (pun intended) by creating an environment to reach all types crowds whether it's coming to a more upscale place in Arlington or having the ability to watch sports in a place which is not overly crowded. It seems to me there is a much deeper reason for making a yelp account to leave that review. Instead pointing out the TVs, which don't over run the place whatsoever, seems like a petty excuse for ulterior motive to leave a poor review. This review is for the event space. Was there for a private party upstairs. Very nice place. This was the former RiRas. From what I could tell, there were two private event spaces upstairs with the main bar area downstairs. Both of the event spaces shared a bar but had their own food. The event space was open to the downstairs main bar so the acoustics were a bit loud. Otherwise the event space was very nice. Also had private bathrooms for the event space. The food served was of good quality and variety. Wild mushroom cracker cups, salmon cracker cups (these were especially good), chicken sliders, olives, cheese, bread, meatballs and a cheese type of bread with red sauce on the side. This rating is closer to a 3.5. I came here on Thursday after work around 5:30 pm and by the time it was 6 pm, the bottom floor was PACKED with people. Since there were so many people jam-packed onto the bottom level, I had asked if I could sit elsewhere with my friend. I was told that the other levels of the restaurant were booked (although empty), so my friend and I just had to deal with being slightly jostled by people standing around our table by the bar. The drinks are definitely the highlight of this place - they are beautifully presented and are not watered down. The food is okay, but it is apparent that WHKB focuses on their drinks. I can see why many people come here for happy hour after work. I would probably come here during a less busy time. read more

The furniture set up of Wilson Hardware says come in and have a family dinner but the low lighting and loud music says come do some cocaine in the bathroom. We had a table of 8 and I was in a constant state of yelling just so everyone could hear me. The food itself was decent to average. The appetizers were the best part, namely the Roasted Cauliflower, Hardware Fritters, Crab Dip and Panzerotti. The entree was lackluster. I had the Duck Confit and it was rather dry which is unusual for duck which is often fatty. A bit too much mashed potatoes and not enough animal, also. This place isn't necessarily bad but with so many other options I don't think I'll be coming back here. read more

There was a crowd when I got there, but we just missed HH. The HH menu looks really good and reasonable, though. There are 3 floors with 2 outdoor spaces. The inside has a really good vibe. I came here for a birthday dinner and to hang out after for drinks. The menu options weren't that great but overall it was fine. There is a dj during dinner, which is fun, but the music is so loud (!!!) that you couldn't hear yourself think. The base was off and the bad sound system was an annoying experience. I liked the concept of having a sexy place that has nice dinner options with music, but only if the sound system is right. We stayed there after dinner and it was fine. The upstairs patio was chill and we liked hanging out there. The downstairs where we were eating dinner still had really loud music, so it was like a club vibe but with dinner tables around. The concept was a bit strange, it seemed like the owners weren't sure what to do with that space so they turned it into a club with food with no dance floor. read more

I really wanted to give this 4 stars - the highlights were amazing but I was left wishing I had ventured to a nearby location. My date and I arrived around 7:15 - the bar was still filled with the remnants of happy hour crew so we grabbed the last seats by the staff bar. Started with the Aisle 2915 couldn't recommend it enough. My date had the dark and stormy which was true to form. After we enjoyed our drinks we decided to stay for food rather than venturing elsewhere. Here comes the less favorable part of the evening. After requesting water 3 times and ordering food we waited... after about 20 minutes I realized the order was never put in by the not so friendly bartender. A little more customer service or at least friendliness from the bartender would've gone a long way - but he never even noticed. I had to ask another person in the staff who had briefly stepped behind the bar. Next up the food - we did shareable to start. The crab dip which was fishy and lacked flavor. I think this may account for my not so happy stomach Thursday. We didn't finish that but I can rave enough about the cauliflower! So incredible... even if you don't like cauliflower as my date attested to you'd like this. We wanted to try the duck confit but they were out so settled on the chicken. The truffle hints were on point and the asparagus cooked perfectly. Overall I'd give this another try but probably stick to happy hour for my next visit. Came here for dinner with a large party for a birthday celebration tonight. Waiter seemed a little flustered & there were a lot of issues regarding the checks and how they needed to be split. The kicker for me was someone who was bussing the tables dropped a spicy aioli sauce and it got all over me/my chair. No apology, and they didn't even want to exchange the chair, which was odd. Freshly dry cleaned shorts now need to go back to the dry cleaner cause the sauce got all over them. Food was pretty good, but I'm uninspired enough that I wouldn't go back. read more
