It just happened that i had to take an exit at Euclid. By now I have dined and had take out from here. Their rice plates has two sizes - regular, that feeds 2 people and large, feeds 4 people. The restaurant is run by the family. The owner is very friendly. When I went for dinner one of us asked if they have beer. He said they don't carry alcohol but it's ok with him to bring alcohol from the next door liquor shop lol. I got my usual orders. Pad kee mao and basil fried rice. He explained that the noodles is just that, choice of protein and bean sprouts. I requested for some veggies. That just made the dish amazing. Spiciness was amazingly numbing. For anyone who is not crazy about spiciness I suggest staying with mild to medium. Not even medium level. The Thai food is good, but not amazing. I got the pad Thai with shrimp and the noodles weren't as chewy as I would have liked it. The sauce was also kind of off, I don't think they used enough fish sauce. The mango sticky rice wasn't bad, there was a generous amount of mango and a smaller portion of the sticky rice. It's behind a car wash in a little strip mall next to a Super Torta (not a fatty but a eatery). Decor eh, service ok, but the food is oh so good. The wifey, my cousin and his fiance met for dinner and we had the Ox tail soup, pad see ew, panang curry, & the pineapple fried rice. Ox Tail was tart and slightly spicy Pad see ew - a yummy standard Panang Curry - best I ever had. Stopped by Win Thai for lunch with my co-workers. We've frequented Win Thai quite a few times over the past few years and they have yet to disappoint. It's located in a small strip mall off Euclid behind the giant car wash. A little hard to see from the street, but it's there. Parking is usually easy to find as well. Luckily we head to lunch early and beat any crowds, but Win Thai is usually just moderately busy anyways, never too crowded. To me, the food is great. So I'm surprised it's not packed all the time. The place is quaint inside, nothing too fancy, but it's generally quiet and peaceful inside. The staff have always very nice and have yet to give me a wrong order. I'm never too adventurous when it comes to cuisine. Although I love my food, I usually tend to slowly progress from the tame stuff to other menu items. Here at Win Thai, I love the beef chow mein. Not very adventurous right? I know, but it tastes so good. I'd say it's my favorite chow mein that I've tried. I've tried the Pad Thai and it's great too, but sometimes I just feel like some chow mein. Pretty much anything I've tried here has been great My boss is married to a Thai woman, and he loves the food here, so that should say something about the quality. I'm also a huge fan of the Mango Sweet Rice here. The price is a little high, but they give you a large portion and it's always amazing. Another pleasant lunch at WinThai. Tiny portions. Hardly any vegetables in the chicken Penang Curry which is my gauge for any Thai food restaurant. The sauce is good but that's basically all it is sauce a soup with some chicken pieces and a few pieces of vegetable. For the money, not worth it. Try another thai restaurant. Chicken Penang Curry does not come with rice, steamed rice is an extra charge. My Penang Curry plus the side of steamed rice was nearly $12, and is a five dollar sized portion. Not happy. read more

The menus are a little disorganized, they have two menus, The main menu has pictures of the food but no descriptions or prices. The drink menu has prices and is clear. Overall its fine no big deal. No pictures because I ate everything quickly! We ordered; -Pad see ewe with chicken -Mongolian Beef -Shrimp fried rice -sweet and sticky rice with mango -thai tea The pad see ewe was delicious 9/10, chewy noodles with perfect amount of seasoning and sauce, I enjoyed the thinly cut broccoli (most places serve whole pieces of broccoli), and the chicken was good. Secondly, the mongolian beef was flavorful 7/10, I would've liked a bigger portion size for the price, and the beef could be more tender but overall the rich sauce and green onions were good, make sure to order this with rice (white rice is best for this dish). The shrimp fried rice 8/10 was a great accompaniment to the noodles and beef, soft fragrant rice with fresh shrimp is always a must with an entree like mongolian beef, although at $11 I felt like it was a little pricey. For dessert we ordered the sweet and sticky rice with mango 6/10, presentation was a little sloppy, rice was slightly hard on the edges, mango was fresh. Lastly the thai tea was amazingly refreshing and I wish I had ordered two just for myself. We paid $51- for everything, not too bad, I wish the portion sizes we a a little bigger for that amount, but overall I liked everything. I never had Kang Par before so I can't tell you how it rates against others but this dish was very good it is a red curry that is thin without coconut milk among the vegetables included were Thai Eggplant , green beans , and FRESH bamboo shoots (I never had fresh bamboo shoots before they taste much better than canned and were cut like flat noodles . We also had the Cashew Chicken it wasn't oily , sweet , salty or thick but in a light flavorful sauce and the chicken in both meals was very good . It's hard finding a good Thai food restaurant. Those that say it's authentic have never had real Thai food before. The chicken is dry and chalky. The vegetables taste like freezer food. The sauce they use is cheap and straight msg. I really wish I could show you other yelpers what real Thai food tastes like. But you won't find it here. The waitress that helped us was super nice! She always came back to refill our water and asked if we needed anything else. What we ordered: --Beef Pad See Ew --BBQ Chicken Satay (6 sticks) The beef pad see ew was delicious!! There was a lot more flavor in this dish than at Thai Original BBQ down the street. The chicken satay was really well made. I usually only eat one stick of the satay, but this was so good that I had to grab a second one. I like that each table has their own chili plate set so you don't have to ask them if you wanted to spice up your meal. One con: the red paste chili WAS a little watered down, but it still had the same spice effect, if not even spicier. I also liked that the Jalapenos were on the spicier side instead of just being sour like other restaurants. I used to like this restaurant very much in the past. Recently, the service is poor and one night we ordered 2 entree and had a funny taste. We could not eat because of the funny taste. Been in this restaurant a couple of times with older cousins. They know exactly what good food to order as they've been doing it since their children were still young (one of the children is now working and the other in college). So, they pretty much know the menu like the back of their hands, and they just order by the number (all the items in the menu are numbered). Ambiance The restaurant is like an upgraded hole-in-the-wall type of place that has reasonable number of tables. The interior is very modest and clean. It's an unpretentious family-style dinning environment. 2. Food Their food takes longer than usual to be served on your table because they make it only when you order. The stuffed chicken wings, combination fried rice, beef with ginger, onions, and mushroom, shrimp with veggies, and Pad Thai were all awesome. And the Thai icetea was great as well. Also, their rotee, a dessert made from coconut milk was a delish treat! 3. Service Their service was just okay because they don't have enough staff, I think it's a family owned and ran by members of their family. The lady that took our order was nice, but was so direct to the point and kind of rushing. The young guy who refilled our drinks was just in time to extinguish the impending doom when I accidentally chewed on some red chili. And the older man who cleared our table was so kind and told us that he is always happy whenever he dishes out empty plates, which means their clients loved their food. Ordered a pad see ew, pad thai, chicken satay, and coconut curry, you know, the Americanized quintessential plates of Thai inspired food. Pad thai: it has the indescribable off taste that comes with some, but not all pad thai. Don't know what that flavor is or how to describe it, but you know what I'm talking about. Pad see ew: on point, more sweet than savory, just the way I like it Satay: if you mess up chicken skewers and peanut sauce, shame on you. They do it well. Coconut curry: not enough coconut milk, left with a watered down curry At the end what makes this place good is that they get your food fast and when you expect it. I've been coming to this family-owned restaurant since 2014 (time truly flies!), and I have to say this is one of my favorite restaurants. I'm a big fan of Thai cuisine and have had Thai food all over Orange County. This place gets my vote as the best. They serve super authentic, high-quality Thai food. I've never once been disappointed. It seems like they always use clean quality ingredients, and their dishes/sauces are very well-balanced and well-seasoned. I particularly love their Pad See Ew, Spicy Beef Salad, Barbecue Chicken, Pineapple Fried Rice, and Tom Yum soup. I love spicy food, and they do a great job of controlling the heat. The family that runs this place is super down-to-earth and provides genuinely great service. It's an amazing Thai restaurant in a place you'd least expect in Northern Anaheim. Always a pleasure to eat here. The current Yelp score of 4 is a good score no doubt, but it doesn't do this place justice. The portions were so small, the prices were too high, and the food was mediocre at best. Our bill was $50. We ordered pad thai which was too soft, a BBQ beef ribs that was overcooked and dry, a chicken noodle soup that was so bland, and an orange chicken that was just sad.
