My experience at Winchells was a great one. We went at a late time and were surprised that the worker was nice, energetic and quick with everything we asked for. The place was clean, well organized and felt comfortable enough to eat at even though it was late night and pretty deserted. Now that I've been to this location I for sure cannot wait to experience the other locations. I LOVED the donuts we picked out and we thank the worker who was there for helping us pick them out. She was sure to tell us her opinion about the ones she enjoyed and we loved that!

Winchell's pulling thru this morning with my coffee. Only $2.50 for a large, sweet. The have baby donuts for 89 cents each or 6 for 5 bucks. I got an extra one I think on accident but I will take it. I tried every single flavor and they're all good, but glazed was the surprising underdog, it's very moist. The blue one is blueberry and tastes like Trix cereal or something. It's not bad but does have that energy drink artificial flavor vibe to it. Donuts are life. Service is not bad, I think they primarily speak Spanish even though this strip mall is almost entirely Chinese I think.

As a kid, Winchell's was synonymous with donuts, like "Xerox" was used interchangeably with "photocopy." There seems to be fewer of these stores around these days, which is too bad, because Winchell's is everything a donut store should be: clean, organized, affordable, and offer a wide selection. I'm on a donut hiatus-- health goals and stuff. But in Rowland Heights, on those cold swim meet mornings at the high school, you can't beat this place for convenience. Couldn't find a 7 Eleven south of the 60 on Colima, so this place became my coffee jam all weekend. Jessica behind the counter was really sweet and took great care of me... even while some angry lady in front of me, who resembled a javelina with Oppositional Defiance Disorder, got all bent out of shape because she had to walk two steps to get packets of sugar for her coffee and seven donuts before waddling to her car, where she proceeded to consume all of them, crumbs covering the front of her sweatshirt. Only know 'cause she was parked next to me. Oh well, can't please everyone. Keep up the good work, Jessica, and everyone at this Winchell's. Someday I'll be back in the apple fritter bandwagon, and I'm coming to see you.

Today 5/25/23 8:39am check #294 Server: Kenia A Went in and it was busy but there were 3 girls serving. The girl with the colored eyes took our order right away and we waited. We noticed that everyone was getting their food except us and noticed no one was making sandwiches. When we told them no one knew nothing nor was it put on the screen. One told the other one that she didn't help us. They made it and gave it to us. The girl that gave it to us wasn't one of the 3 original girls that were there she had been in the back. No one apologized. No said sorry. We didn't want anything free just a simple apology. This is the second time it happens to us where they've forgotten to make our order. The same group of girls. We couldn't believe it. Stop chit chatting and gossiping and get to work. It's very unacceptable and it's understandable that mistakes can happen but if a mistake happens and especially for the second time, the least you can do is apologize. But nothing. VERY VERY DISAPPOINTING!!! & disgusting. Have manners and care. If not don't work where you deal with people.

Don't sleep on Winchell's because they are open 24/7. The Chillas (iced slushies) are really well made and only cost about $4.99 for a large size. They had a lot of options for different bagel sandwiches but we chose to go with the Black Forest Ham and Pastrami bagel sandwiches, respectively. Both of them by the way were really good.

12/21/22. Around 6pm. I went this place with my kids. We bought 3 donuts. My son and me asked to her "separate bag please~" but she didn't listen us. She didn't want to give me the separate bags. and she said, "Waste paper! " She is always in a hurry and very rude when serving. I ask to her"why you so rude, And.. she (the picture) talk to me "bitch" I'm not sure who is hiring this person. This is terrible horrible worst costumer service place. why they have so many bad reviews now I got it. Who wants to go there again? Don't need star. Zero.

Friendly staff but could do better in making better food. I got the bacon egg and cheese burrito but it didn't have much bacon. See picture. Came with donut and medium coffee. Whole thing cost about $8.50. July 2021

There is an iconic DONUT spot in La Puente that is an expert and master of Donuts, Croissants, and Bagels! This bakery is a giant chocolate donut that you cannot miss. Just drive on through the donut hole to see the goods for yourself! No need to step out of your car. There's a window on the left to pick up your order. They were sold out on the Maple Bacon Donuts, but my eyes feasted on S'mores, the Tiger Tail and an Old Fashion Buttermilk for the win! They've got the regular glazed, sprinkle toppings, jelly filled, apple fritters, etc. They also make fancy and gourmet types like Red Velvet, Fruity Pebbles, Cinnamon Toast Crunch (might as well have your cereal with your donut) for a sweet and sugary day. I noticed only one employee, could have been the owner. He was whipping up the dough, bringing out a tray of hot and fresh goods to place on the display shelves. He was quick and thorough, pleasant, and took my order and cash payment. I recommend you be extra SWEET and buy some to share with family, friends and co-workers. They will be very happy to see you! Sincerely, Rosemary

(Important: This donut business is one of the rare few that has no added fee for card payments. However, it's cash only for lottery payments.) I arrived at Master Fresh Donuts (Hacienda Heights) on Wednesday (around 3:13PM). Parking is uncomfortable because the parking lot is small and narrow. However, there's a nearby neighborhood parking. Staff is very friendly, welcoming, and charming. Staff spoke cheerfully, and Staff enthusiastically answered all my questions. Staff is very attentive and upbeat. As mentioned, I ordered the Chocolate Donut with Sprinkles ($1.95). Not only is it very fresh, this donut is notably bigger than other donuts. I had to stretch my jaw a little to get a clean bite. The donut is also fluffy with a clean chocolate taste. YUM! On ambiance, Master Fresh Donuts (Hacienda Heights) goes above and beyond. The location is so clean that everything sparkled. Also, the location felt chill from strong air conditioning. For donut shop standards, this is surprisingly one of the best. I felt very comfortable sitting at a table and enjoying my quality donut. Overall, Master Fresh Donuts (Hacienda Heights) is one of the best examples of "don't judge a book by its cover." This place screams "integrity" and "diligence." They make everything fresh daily, are family owned and operated, super hardworking and nice. I got their passion fruit green tea, croissant sando, glazed donut holes, buttermilk bar, Oreo, matcha filled, creme brulee, and tiger tail donuts to try. The passion fruit green tea was sweet, bright, fruity, had real passion fruit seeds and pulp inside but also a strong bitter green tea flave so it might not be for everyone. The croissant sando was MASSIVE and I added some smooth fatty avocado it too. The sando was filled with savory tender bacon, a juicy sausage patty, some scrambled eggs, and gooey American cheese, all on a buttery flakey croissant. Every donut was super light, fluffy, pillowy, airy, and nostalgic tasting. The donut holes had a crisp sugary glaze and so did the buttermilk bar which was more like a cake donut but still super delicate and light crumb and tasted a little Coconuty? The Oreo donut was topped with so many crunchy Oreo bits and a super sugary sweet icing. The matcha donut was covered in sugar and had a super earthy grassy fragrant whipped cream filling. The creme brulee donut had a nice crunchy sugar top and was filled with a sweet smooth cream. The tiger tail was coated with like a cinnamon almond streusel and had swirls of more cinnamon and almonds twisted in.
