I would steer clear from this company. I ordered Anderson windows which all came in. I had my contractor install them, no problem, but all the screens were bent so they told me they were going to order more screens. I also ordered an extra window, which came in to match the new windows that went on my new addition. But as you can see by the picture, the framing is incorrect. Windows, etc. said that they would have that repaired or replaced. That was four months ago. I've contacted them several times. somebody would answers the phone and they say they'll get right back to me. I've emailed them. Several times. If there were no stars as an option, I would choose that. I purchased all new windows and doors from Windows, Etc. some years ago and then referred them to my daughter who also needed new windows. Although my experience was decent with this company, my daughter's bordered on a nightmare. Every window that was installed except for a very few, leak! Her sliding glass doors were never installed correctly and drip from the top between the panes. The runners have rain water which then comes inside her house because they failed to install a run-off piece which would eliminate the problem. My daughter called and complained and asked for this company to make their shoddy workmanship right. At first they said they would and then they stopped returning any of her phone calls. She spent a fortune for a complete disaster. Now here we are again in yet another rainy season and once again all the windows she purchased from Windows, Etc.....leak!!!!! This place where you buy windows I actually found by accident. I needed windows for my home and I called this business. They were closing in five minutes and I was coming from the Duarte area. They actually stayed open and waited for me. There business is close to the RXR Tracks on San Dimas Avenue. The lady was very friendly and service was fantastic. They did forget to call me...but it is a very busy place with excellent service. I will always continue to be a customer at this wonderful place. read more

Took three weeks for Cheryl to come out and measure windows to then give a price quote on replacement windows. Pleasant and personable. Told me she would get back to me with a quote in three days. A week and a half later still no quote despite calling the company and leaving a message for Cheryl. Do these people want business? I guess not!!!! read more

Originally purchased doors and windows from Windows Etc. in 2001. We we were extremely satisfied with the product and the service we received. Fast forward to 2018 and our slider was not working properly. I called and they immediately sent someone over to take a look. The tech determined that it was a problem that should be covered under the warranty and Cheryl and Tessa at Windows Etc. contacted Milgard to have the problem taken care of. I recommend Windows Etc. highly! read more

When I looked at them in 2014, I could not find them on the State Contractor's Licensing board so I'm not certain they were licensed contractors at the time. They now state their license number so they may have gotten their licenese since them. This does not solve the problem with their lack of communication; they never anwer their phone. I would rather go to a Home Depot for windows as they stand by their work. Don is always in a bad mood and is very indifferent towards his work. They are not helpful at all. I called this company to come out and give me a quote on either repairing my Anderson patio door or putting in a new one when the owner of the company came out she said she always wants to repair versus replace if possible she told me to give her a couple of days and she would get back to me after she did the research on the parts. Initially I called this company to install a specialized pet door in a glass slider. Windows etc was listed as a local installer for this company, The Pet Door Guys. The staff was nice and Cheryl even came to my house and took measurements. Unfortunately, after coming to my house, that was the last contact that Cheryl ever made with us. Numerous phone calls and emails to the company were never returned. While this company initially seemed promising, any follow through was lacking completely. read more

Have had Windows Etc do windows in 2 of our homes. In our Glendora townhome, Cheryl went above & beyond excellent customer service. Our HOA had certain specifications they wanted us to follow, we were the first to replace windows in the complex. Cheryl handled it superbly, I was the basket case. Windows were amazing. Install was organized. Works cleaned up as they when along. In our San Dimas house they installed wooden double doors, yes the do excellent front doors too. Love them. In our San Dimas home they also replaced the windows. Cheryl came out did measurements. Windows came in. Install day was a piece of cake. They even installed a pet guard on our slider screen. Again, workers were professional, on time, cleaned up. When our Bassett Hound tore our screen, they re-screened it, thank you Cheryl. This company is the only one I trust for our windows & doors. They know what they're talking about when it comes to getting most quality for your money. They have moved from the San Dimas location, phone number is still the same. read more

We'd used them to retrofit the original windows in our house and our initial experience was good. When went ahead with more work at our house we replaced the last remaining windows and 3 doors. They are knowledgeable, they are good at helping the customer make the right selection, and the installation was for the most part professional. Our issue is one of after sales customer service, which related to damage caused to our new patio deck by their installation crew. I called and emailed the the owners Cheryl & Don several times before I got a return call to discuss the problem. Their initial response was, that their installers did not cause the damage to the deck. Since the was brand new, and they were the only people working there, it was hard to point the finger at anyone else. After a very heated phone conversation with Don, he finally calmed down enough to listen to our side of it and grudgingly acknowledged his crew may be responsible for the damage. All we asked for was to pay for replacement of the damaged planks, or as Don suggested allow them to replace them themselves as this was work that they also were capable of doing. I provided him a quote that we had gotten to repair the deck from the contractor who had installed it. Don was going to come by and look at the deck and the damage and make the decision if Windows Etc would make the repairs or he would reimburse us for the cost of the repair. He stated that he had a pretty busy schedule at them moment but would get by to look at it with in the next week. We never saw or heard from Don or Windows Etc again. They had been paid in full. So we figure they were just telling us to go pound sand. While they are knowledgeable and can do good work based on their treatment and attitude, use them at your own risk as. If they would treat a repeat customer like us this way, they might do it to you as well. read more

I contacted Windows Etc. because my gardener had broken the window in my Andersen door with a rock. Unfortunately for me the entire door had to be replaced. When Cheryl initially came out to look at the door and give us an estimate she was very convincing that there would be no problem replacing the door and guaranteed us we could use the grate that went on the inside of the door and would not have to purchase a new one for the new door. She ordered the new door (which would have to be stained at our cost to match the other existing doors, windows and wood in our family room - not cheap - and we had to pay for all the additional delivery charges to and from the stainer, etc.) and we waited for delivery to our stainer. The door was then delivered and installed at our home. But wait, now comes the fun part.....they (Windows Etc.) don't know how to install the grate back into the new door!! So now the workers come out a couple of times and tell me they need to research a few things and I make about 20 telephone calls to their office where their little "chipper" office girl Tess continually tells me they are either out of the office, out of town, have an emergency,etc., etc., etc. All the while, the same Tess says she will take a message and have someone call me back. LMAO I want you all to know that this has been going on since SEPTEMBER 2016!!!! Yes, that's right, OVER A YEAR!!! I just filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Not that I think it will do any good, but it made me feel a little better and now I have to pay more money and find someone that can install the grate into my Andersen door (and Andersen sent me the tool for free for the installation). Called for quote, the woman on the phone was communicative and great to deal with. Had someone to the house for a quote on extensive repair to existing wood windows on a 100 year old craftsman. They wanted to replace vs repair, which didn't really work for me, but they still offered a quote for replacement. Never called back with a price quote, even after I called them to follow up a week later. Its been weeks now, with no commuincation. Lack of communication is a pet peeve of mine I guess, oh well. read more

Absolutely would not recommend this business. They do NOT stand by their work. 1 year later they will not honor the Anderson warranty. Never returned phone calls. Please save yourself frustration and your hard earned money and use another installer. I spent over 15K and they don't even have the decency to return my phone calls. I would agree with both posts. I had a horrible experience with them. Unfortunately I didn't look at the reviews first and paid them $15,000 for a rather large job that included replacing 2 windows, replacing a double front door, replacing french doors, replacing a side door, and changing out a sliding glass door to double sliders. Of the 6 jobs, only 1 was completed without an issue. It's a year later and I'm still trying to get my front door fixed and the cracks in my drywall fixed. They have offered to come and fix the problems after a mention of legal action, but I don't want then anywhere near my home. I agree that Cheryl is lovely to deal with initially, but there is absolutely no follow through and no concept of customer service. read more

Sheryl, the lady who is a very good talker, said she ordered the part. I called to check on the status of the order and was given the run-around several times. We had all of our primary home windows replaced + sliding door back in 2005, over 10 years ago. In the 10+ years that we've had our Milgard Windows, they've replaced a bad fixed window, sealed a problematic leaking window some 6-7 years after it was installed, and most recently (today July 5, 2016), are right on top of getting a Milgard representative to our house to replace a bad sliding door and kitchen window, both windows that have discolored over the years. They also replaced a sliding door at a rental home that we once owned, again some 10+ years ago. We have been pleased with their professionalism and promptness over all of the issues over the past 10+ years. read more
