Did you know that you could eat on a runway? I didn't either!! My friend introduced me to this gem and I definitely want to come back when it's a little cooler. We came to eat and watch planes come in and take off. It was such a cool experience and the food was pretty good too. I got the fish and chips and my kid got the chicken fried steak that came with mashed potatoes and green beans. They were fresh and had bacon and onion on top. The fish and chips were plentiful and the prices were extremely affordable. They also serve breakfast all day. Things to know before you come. Call ahead so you can get the weekly code to get through the gate and there is seating inside and outside but it is small so depending on what time you go seating may be limited. My friends and I had an amazing time at Wing It Cafe! We had a large reservation of about 20+ and sat outdoors, closest to where the plane runway is. Our server Eva was AMAZING. She was able to attend to our large group with no issue. Very friendly and accommodating. We weren't able to see a plane actually take off probably due to the rainy cloudy weather. We still had a great time. I'm forgetting the name of what I ordered but it came with two large pancakes, bacon and fruit. I enjoyed my meal. Would recommend and return. read more

really don't give out 5 stars all too often, but this little place definitely deserves it. I found this place from a local instagram page, and i'm glad we ventured out here to check it out. This place is located next to an airstrip, towards the end when you enter into the gate. It's so cool to see planes take off and land while you enjoy a meal. We didn't go inside at all, and chose to sit outside. One suggestion for management of this place is to place fly traps outside, since there were a few flying around. We ended up getting the southern skillet and the hangar queen omelet. Both were extremely tasty and enough food to keep us full. The omelete comes with a small side and we opted to go with grits. Service was great, they came by to check in if we needed anything and were extremely friendly. PS: when you get to the gate, call the number listed to get the gate code. Meh! We live just around the corner and have been wanting to try this place since it was close and very unique. Service was horrible, food was just ok. Probably would not go back. The coolest part of sitting outside was watching the planes take off. I thought this would be a great place to take quests while visiting from out of town but not after my first experience. read more

10/26/25. 10:03 am. Server: Bella V. Table 14 , 2 guests. With our breakfast order the Coffee tasted bad so we requested a fresh cup. Bella forgot. When we completed breakfast, we still had the old crappy coffee with no replacement . I asked that they remove the charge for coffee from the bill, and Bella had the worst attitude. In the middle of speaking to us she walked off and went to the manager of the café and they laughed. We were disgusted and felt humiliated. How difficult is it to provide a fresh cup of coffee when asked? The attitude by both the server Bella and the café manager was horrible to witness. I doubt we would ever return! read more

What a fun spot on the runway! We stopped by on a Saturday morning just before 9am. I'm glad we did because it started to get busy right after we got there! The cafe is located literally on the runway and we got to see planes landing and taking off while eating. Our service was prompt and friendly and the food was surprisingly good! Get the pancake. I was visiting from out of town, went in with my dad and brother . It is one of the best breakfast places I've visited in years . The accommodated my brother in his lack of liking breakfast, let him have a black and blue burger . They have iced coffee which being from Boston is a huge plus for me . Their omelettes are incredible, same with the pancakes. The ( owner/ manager) stays on top of their game . I have been bragging on this place for days . I can't remember a time that I've gone to a restaurant and felt like I was bothering the wait staff by being there. But today was the first! My husband, child, and I took a seat outside to watch the planes land while we ate. The first server to take our drink order seemed annoyed with our mere presence. Another younger, female server brought us our drinks and took our order. She was mild mannered, but extremely inattentive. We had to help ourselves to condiments and things nearby since asking for anything seemed bothersome. The food was okay, but incredibly overpriced. Most breakfast items on the menu were $12-$16 and made you choose between a bread item and breakfast potatoes. I ordered the chorizo skillet and requested a side of flour tortillas and received 3 small ones for $2.50. The kicker, however, was the kids beverage was $3.49 and not included with the meal. When I asked about it I was told it is because it is refillable. Not sure we will be returning to spend over $50 for subpar service and unremarkable food. read more

What an absolutely amazing little cafe. My wife and I had a fabulous experience and we can't wait to go back. The people, the food, the atmosphere, it's all perfect. 1st, you're next to an active runway so there is entertainment almost the entire time. They have an awesome shaded patio where you can relax and take pictures of the aircraft. 2nd, the food was excellent. They are open for breakfast and lunch, Wednesday through Sunday, and on our 1st trip we went for breakfast. We'll definitely be back for that and I can't wait to try the lunch. I got the hungry hippy with jalapeños, and it was delicious. My wife got the 'First Class' and it was crazy good. The pancakes are bigger than your head, and they're so fluffy!! Truly the best pancakes in the area. The eggs were perfectly cooked and fluffy, and the bacon was also crazy good. I also particularly liked their coffee too, very smooth. 3rd, the people. All awesome. We were immediately greeted and told to sit wherever we wanted and we were served very quickly. The food came out hot and fresh and they refilled our waters and coffee constantly. I honestly can't wait to go back and I'll definitely be bringing more people because this is just such a unique experience. This is a great place to eat. It is located in Hicks Field in Ft. Worth so as you eat, you can watch small planes come and go. Fun for the whole family. The food is excellent, and reasonably priced. They are only open Thurs to Sunday till 2 pm, but they offer breakfst and lunch all day. We had the hamburger platter and an omelette, and they were both excellent. The french fries are fresh cut and very long and delicious. Becca Y was our server, and she did a great job. The food came out hot and fast. Listen this is one of the best places that I have found by accident. Let's start on food I had the Roasted potatoes with Gravy and scrambled eggs you can't forget the Cholula hit sauce on it gives it an extra kick. Then comes the Wings YALL the wings are smoked they are so tender and flavorful and yummy. I think they lasted a whole 5 minutes before they where gone oh the fries are season fries that you can't start eating add some secret sauce or ranch OMG. Then the Final plate now this one is my favorite plate of all time. The chicken and Waffle now the chicken is so nicely breaded and cooked to perfection. The waffle was thick and crispy and that is hard to do but it was done here. The butter just melted so perfectly throw the syrup on top and man let me tell you I almost asked for another one to go it was that good. Everything that I have had here is amazing worth the drive and definitely worth every penny. Now on to service from day one that we found this place they have treated us like family. Now the waiters and staff know us and are happy when we come. I have two kids a girl and boy and all the waiters love them. This is definitely one of our favorite places to go eat breakfast or lunch. I did mention they should do mimosas on Sundays they would make a killing. If you haven't been to this location please take time out our day and go it's a great place to eat and watch the planes come and go. All the pilots we have meet have been so nice and cool they even offered to take us for a ride but I'm To scared to get on small planes if not I would go. Great experience, unfortunately we didn't get to seat outside to hopefully next time. We ordered chicken and waffles and Bob Marley burger with fries. They were both great tasting the waffles and chicken came with a jalapeno syrup that I personally really liked but my wife didn't care for it due to the spiciness. The Bob Marley had thick cut crispy bacon with all the trimmings and a side of blue cheese. They were super packed but still managed to give us our food promptly, the service was amazing as well. Definitely recommend, the only thing that we didn't like much was the size of the parking lot, it's very compact and a lot of Dually's parked making it difficult to maneuver. read more

OK, so we have eaten here in therestaurant where past and thought it was decent but this time was the worst experience we've ever had. After seating ourselves in the middle of the restaurant, we could see clear into the kitchen. We sat down with our children and pulled out baby food for our child. The waitress told us no outside food and did not even get us. We explained she was not even one years old and that is what she ate. The waitress rolled her eyes and said "OK, What can I get you to drink"? We ordered our drinks and got them in a timely manner. We ordered our food, and as I was watching them, prepare it. I noticed that the cooks had on black gloves and never changed them nor did they ever wash their hands. In fact, I never saw anyone wash their hands not a single server dishwasher manager, who by the way just walked around it did not help with anything. I ordered an omelette with grits which was $15 and came out about the size of a fist and was extremely greasy. The cooks in the back were scratching their head, touching everything, and then dipping their hand into a bucket full of vegetables left at room temperature underneath the grease pit to the left of the flat top and through the vegetables onto the grill. I was very put off by this and realize that this place does not follow any type of health code. The biscuits and gravy came out with the gravy, cold and extremely sweet. The biscuit was hard like a hockey puck as though it was a few days old. The server was nice enough to change it out for us to grab her due to her being busy outside with patio tables. The manager could've helped, but he was making his own food and sat in the back and ate his food with other employees. My daughters bacon was cold and chewy and overall this place does not follow Health code. I could see that the food was not stored properly from where I was sitting and I have over 20 years experience in food industry. Enough said this place is not good. We will not be returning because we know they keep their food when they don't use it the day before and I'm afraid that my family will get sick from eating here. read more
