While this is not by any means the closest Chinese place, it is well worth the trip to get their take out. Singapore Noodle dish is excellent. They even do heat modifications none, little and more heat. I have had the green peppers deleted, orders are always correct. Great prices for meal deals. Full of flavor and sized appropriately for their price. Even with the drive home the food is still hot for our enjoyment. Will continue to support this restaurant. When we resume fine in services I will go the extra mile to enjoy their cuisine. read more

I have been going here 20 years an have never been disappointed. They have the best sweet n sour I have ever had, not to sweet not to sour but just right. The service is always spot on, we go here so often that the entire wait staff know us, which is super nice they treat you like family. I do prefer to dine in, the food is fresh an hot out of the kitchen beats eating out of carryout containers. It is obvious they are doing something right to have been in business all these years!! I have lived near wing lee most of my life, and have been going there for years and years. It is an almost fabled favorite of many of my schoolmates who have moved away. I see that others have mentioned a change in the food, but to me it tastes exactly the same as it did 30 years ago. It is food you can count on. You'll be in and out in no time, and carryout is ready in 10 minutes (even though they'll say 15). The tea is my very favorite, and sweet and sour pork is the stuff of dreams. I'm giving them a four because the wait staff can sometimes be abrupt and aloof, and it sometimes feels like they want you to eat quickly. The food was okay, nothing special. We ordered takeout and they didn't give us any plum sauce for the egg rolls. I didn't like the general tso sauce at all. ABC and shrimp foo young was good. Been a loyal customer for years but the last 2 takeouts have been terrible. Something has changed there and the quality is not the same.The chicken was too hard to cut at the ends yet cold in the middle. The rice was stale and the spring roll was inedible. This place was my favorite place to get Chinese. I went on a fast food diet for about a year and recently came back for my favorites. I'm not sure what happened but all of the food quality has gotten terrible. I went here at least 3 times before writing this review and only because I threw up the food all 3 times I decided to come and warn others. They had the best wonton soup and recently I got some bad soup. How do you mess up soup? All the wontons were all falling apart and the broth was just terrible like It was made on Monday and reheated everyday until Friday when it was sold. Worst meal I have ever had! First of all, the woman at the counter was texting on her iPhone constantly. I ordered a very easy Thai entree. I waited for 10 minutes, the same iPhone girl came out and said "you wanted chicken, right?". I said "yes" then waited 5 more minutes. I added a bag of shrimp chips. When I got to the car I decided to try the chips...I immediately spit them out. I went back in and got a new bag. I drive all the way home, opened my take out container to the most disgusting looking food. The chicken looked totally raw, there were vegetables in there that didn't belong, the sauce was like a cream colored gravy..So gross! I also noticed there was NO rice. I usually visit the China Wok but they were closed one Saturday evening and I figured I would go back to my old stomping ground and eat at Wing Lee. I used to come to this place for years after church at St. Mathis down the street. I was very dissatisfied and disappointed. Two out of three carry out orders were wrong and all the items were reheated and NOTHING was fresh! I remembered this being one of the best Chinese places around. I'm not sure if they are under new ownership but the food was definitely not what I remember from 20+ years ago. We ordered lo mein with rice noodles and got egg noodles. Ordered orange chicken and got extrenely dry almond boneless with some kind of sweet and sour sauce. The third entree (cashew chicken) was right but the chicken was very rubbery and seemed frozen/ reheated or both.. We paid near $35.00 as well which seemed very high, especially because the food was subpar at best. I will continue to stick to what I know (China Wok) and will never revisit my old favorite Wing Lee unless maybe they change ownership. read more

I guess everyone has different likes and dislikes when it comes to food so reviews can swing all over the place. We loved the food from Wing Lee. We will make sure they put the sweet and sour sauce on the side instead of on the chicken next time (we've never gone to a restaurant that puts it on the chicken.) We also ordered the beef and broccoli, sesame chicken and chicken fried rice. It was all fresh and hot. the woman who rang up the order was super friendly, excited and appreciated having a new customer. There were people eating in the restaurant and people waiting for food so obviously there are others who are a fan of Wing Lee. We will definitely be back! read more

Excellent quality. This place is 3 for 3. Had cashew chicken, almond chicken, and general tso chicken. Not one bad piece of meat. Great egg drop and wonton soup. Egg rolls were just okay, nothing special. Chicken friend rice is delicious. Have been for lunch and dinner and got the combination every time. Great price for the portion. Love it here! My family has been going to Winglees for over 15 years. We enjoy dining in and taking out. The almond chicken, sweet and sour chicken, and egg rolls are very yummy. Whenever I am sick, I always want their wonton soup. I have never had any problems with take out or dine in. We usually go once every month or so. read more

By far the best Chinese food around. I used to live down the road and would come in for their General Tao's Chicken all the time. Now that I moved across town I still come over to have it. When I went in to pick up my order, I questioned why so much. Well, when I got home, I think there is enough food for our family to eat for three days. I guess this is what you call a place that if its the only close Chinese heck why not. It wasn't too bad. If you want spicy make sure you say extra spicy. Chicken fried Rice is bland. and the egg roll was good. Ive had better at other places, but it wasn't bad. I'd try it again. read more

We moved into the area in December 2015. We were spoiled by pings in Rochester hills and wanted to find a Chinese restaurant near our new home. We tried wing lees once and it was not good at all. I work down the street and frequently order here. I always go for my favorite-General Tsao. Although they could make it a tad spicier for my taste, no real complaints here. Wing Lee is very clean and it's great that they have free Wifi with the password on the tables for customers. The waitstaff are friendly and quick. One time as I came in to grab my order, I saw one of the kitchen staff peeling snow peas on a table in one of the banquet room. Talk about fresh lol. read more

My family orders take out from here all the time and I go in there a lot as well and I love the food. The service is great when you dine in and the portions are generous. I've taken several people there and they've all been back so people who say they don't like it must think they are critics on chopped. I also LOVE their egg rolls, especially with the plum sauce. I've eaten at Wing Lee a few times before, dine-in and carryout. I've had vegetable Lo Mein and General Tso's Chicken and both were pretty good. The egg rolls are decent as well, but whatever you do, do NOT get the Pad Thai! It smelled so bad that I lost my appetite. I had someone else take a bite and they described it as tasting what they would imagine dirty feet to taste like. Not to degrade the restaurant, because I have had decent past experiences here, but this dish is just absolutely horrific and should be removed off the menu. read more

Surprise Surprise.....lived by this place for years and finally tried it and surprise surprise it was great. Best Bites: Vegetarian anything, Wing Lee Fried rice. took my mom out for chinese, tried this place and the general tso' chicken wasnt cooked all the way through, breading was mushy and raw. the almond chicken was decent, ive had better, but i asked the waitress to take maybe a few dollars off the bill for the problem. my mom couldnt eat it, and pretty much lost her appetite. the manager comes over and wouldnt take any money off the bill, only offered to make a few more pieces. Of the same uncooked food? i dont think so! I wont be going back to this place! they didnt accommodate us at all! definitely paid for something we didnt want. the manager wouldnt have it any other way! so, no more business for them! read more

This place is not the best. It hits the spot if you're in a pinch, but wouldn't recommend. The people who work here are very rude, the food isn't the greatest and usually undercooked. Me and my family came in one night an hour before closing and they made us leave at closing time and we weren't done with our meals, they came over to the table told us to leave and gave us carry out boxes and put our food in it so we would leave faster. read more

Im between a 3 and 4 star really. They have bad service, but, my husband and I go every time we visit Michigan. Been going here for a couple decades. Seems like the same ladies in there, they are not friendly at all. But, I love the sweet and sour chicken, egg drop soup and egg rolls. I cant find ANYONE that makes egg rolls that good here. AND the duck sauce on the table, delicious. The packets of duck sauce are gross. Last visit to MI, my husband went there to eat and was going to get mine to go and take it all the way to TN for me. They gave him so much crap for wanting the soup to go, it was ridiculous. We thought she had a problem with slinging dishes across the table, well, she was ALOT worse after that.
