    chicken tenders

We went in here because we were nuts for some wings and they gave us this. They don't fry any of their chicken, its all baked, which is absolutely nutz for a wings place. It was all overcooked, and my chicken tenders were covered in the red dye from the paper they were served on. I couldn't bring myself to eat it so I just left it there. This was the most mournful food I've ever been served in my life.

Called in for a take out order late on a Sunday evening. There was probably two tables of people in the whole facility when I arrived. I specifically asked for the bundt cake when I called on the phone. I got there and left with my order and arrived home to see no bundt cake however I was billed for it. I understand this is an oversight but the fact that they couldn't refund my card without me being there and also offered me nothing but "next time you are in tell them josh said to give you a bundt cake" - the cake I already paid for. Absolutely pathetic. I wish I had never even left a tip on my takeout order. The least they could do is either refund me, offer me something above what happened, or send a driver to my house with it. Wings were cold. Will never go back.

Lauren and I have been watching First We Feast's "Hot Ones" show lately and today felt like getting some wings for dinner! We hadn't tried Wing Nutz yet and were in the area, so stopped by for dinner. The vibe of this location definitely had a bar or sports bar feel, which is ideal for a wing joint. We found a seat and had drinks pretty quick. The place wasn't really busy, so it was pretty quiet for a holiday evening. We started with the chips and salsa, which was tasty and a table favorite. Lani ordered the kid's nachos and enjoyed them. Lauren and Cheryl split a large order with Caribbean Jerk and Sweet BBQ. They loved them, and liked that they weren't breaded at all (seemed healthier?) I ordered a regular and split between Parmesan Curry and Southern Hotties (no purgatory yet; next time!). I loved them! The Southern Hotties had heat, and was delicious; and the Parmesan was just spiced well and very tasty. Highly recommend that pairing. We will definitely be back; the service was great, the food was good, and I'll be stirring up some Purgatory Parmesan next time!

This place isn't as hyped up as Buffalo Wild Wings. What I do like about BWW is their fried pickles and cheese curds. The choice is, do you like BWW fried wings or do you like Wing Nutz baked wings? Both are good, for me it all comes down to the sauces. So I like both places for different things. This place had great hog wings, they were tender and juicy and the parmesan curry had a nice touch to it. The zesty orange, and mango pom chipotle were just okay while the Carolina mustard were great tasting loaded with flavor. What I didn't like about this location was that the service was horrible, didn't come and check on us, didn't fill our drinks. and I had to chase them down to give us the check. The good thing about this place vs BWW are the music and the tv's do not have their volume full blast where you can at least carry on a conversation at this place.

The food was good and all the veggies on my burger were amazing. Beautiful display. Was it worth the wait? Absolutely not. We arrived and no one greeted us, so we found a seat. We brought an infant, so a member of my party asked for a high chair and someone told her they'd get it. Instead, I found one on my own. No one seemed to care to recognize that we had entered, even though no one was helping anyone. I went in search of menus because we sat and no one came. As we started to look through the menu, the server showed up with a few menus. We looked it over and ordered our food. Then waited...and waited....and waited. After about 30 minutes, I went over to one of the waiters (who was standing around chatting with a cook) and asked him how long I should expect the food to be. He quickly addressed the question and said all that was left was plating the food. I'm not sure why two meals took over 30 minutes to cook. No apology, no discount. All the whole, we waited on our food and the table next to us was give not two, not three, but four servings of their alcoholic beverage. Not a single check in of our table. The meal itself was good. A little small, but it tasted good. That's the only reason they got more than one star.

Always a fan of Wing Nutz. We don't live out here anymore but I hope they stay in business for every time we visit. Baked wings are better!

Plenty of parking when you arrive. You can see a lovely garden in the back too. I believe they might grow some or all produce they use in their dishes too. You'll see some lovely flower bushes then a trellis by the entrance. You can sit indoors or outside. The ambiance is intimate but not stuffy. It's a good balance of private and lively. The service and staff is top notch. So friendly, accommodating, and professional. And we love the food! From the bread and butter (love) to mains and desserts I haven't tried something I didn't enjoy. I also love their house salad. It's easily one of my favorite restaurants.

The pork belly- below average. 3. Bread was good, herb and pepper butter was not good, but once we got normal butter it was good. 4. The watermelon pallet cleanser was delicious. 5. The tuna tataki was below average. I actually only ate a few pieces and didn't finish the plate. Total let down for a $42 plate of tuna tataki. Very little flavor and the carrots and Brussels sprouts were under cooked and hard. 6. The Wagyu tenderloin- below average. There were more mushrooms than steak on the plate, and the balsamic compote was mediocre. 7. The salad that came out before the entrees was fine, not great but not terrible. 8. We finished with the crème brûlée which was also ok. Second best thing we ate. The main reason for such a low score was I had a massive headache after the dinner and went straight to bed. My wife was up all night on the toilet and throwing up. So for any good from the food and setting, the aftermath ruined the overall feel for this place.

The décor is warm, modern, and sophisticated, with a contemporary yet cozy feel that makes it a very inviting place to relax and enjoy an evening. Unfortunately, this visit was a bit disappointing from a culinary standpoint. My ahi tuna did not seem as fresh as I would have expected, and the burger was less than impressive. It was slightly overcooked, and the patty was quite thin, lacking the quality and flavor that the beautiful setting promises. On the positive side, the service was attentive, professional, and genuinely friendly throughout our meal. Heart & Hill has all the ingredients to be a standout destination. A stronger focus on the quality of the meat and a more substantial burger would go a long way toward matching the excellent atmosphere they have created.

It took 20 minutes or more to receive the appetizer which was a small plate of handmade potato chips with truffle butter and cheese. (It was about half the size as the one we had last year. It was supposed to be a thick piece of highly marbled beef and was touted as being exceedingly tender. It was not! It was so tough, it was difficult to chew. My chicken was somewhat dry. The broccoli spears were too tough to cut and the tops were cooked until they were black. The only really tasty item was the creamed grits. You paid $3 each for bread service which consisted of one small roll each. Dinners start at $38-$80. Why a roll or rolls can't be offered as part of the meal seems to be a cheap way to add to its price. Surely bread service could be a basket of assorted rolls, crispy cracker sticks, or the like.
