WingPlace Patio has a casual atmosphere and down to earth feel. They have a patio as well to enjoy the beautiful weather on nice days. Felt completely comfortable enjoying lunch! Their lunch prices are awesome! Wings come with a side at lunch time! :) It was lunchtime for me, but I noticed they had a great selection of craft beer, variety of wines and liquor as well. This would be a great venue for happy hour and dinner, great for groups too! Family friendly and suitable for business meetings as well. My boneless wings were awesome and the wing chips were perfect! The wing chips weren't greasy or burnt...just right! My meeting partner had a salad...it looked amazing as well! Will definitely have that next time. The staff were friendly and took time to talk with us, get to know us, and take the time to check on us frequently is we needed anything. Affordable prices, great atmosphere, kind people, and wonderful food! If you haven't checked them out for lunch or dinner, stop in sometime. I have been in a few times and love the atmosphere. The place is small but love going here for lunch. Good lunch deals and normally have a few craft beers to choose from. I have gone with some friends for trivia and had an awesome time, just a little lacking in service. That being said, the entire place was packed and it's east to understand things can get crazy. My initial review was 5 stars, not too long after it was open. I literally was raving about the place to everyone....because if you are from around here...a decent wing spot is impossible to find. Since then, been in 3 more times..each time was worse than the previous. The last two visits would be 1 star, but I really liked it the first time. There has to be promise. Main issues - 12 minutes to get a check, had to walk up to the bar and get a manager (short lady). Were charged for things that we didn't order, sides, drinks, etc (another 10 minutes to get them fixed), really long wait times for anything that's not wings..and the wings are definitely par/pre cooked. Taste is ok, but to get them in 2 minutes and insist they are cooked to order? Haha. Ok. Wings are at least 6-8 minutes in the fryer. Last time we were in, we got drinks, had to order from the bar and sit back down because the server was nowhere to be found, got food...never got a drink refill. Then the check took forever (see above). Having opened many restaurants (not just saying it, did it)...feels like budget and labor cost/staffing are starting to make an impact on operations. Hope it turns around and gets better. Really loved this place. Will give it 3-6 months before checking in on it again in hopes it gets better. read more

We went here on a rainy Wednesday night. Not busy at all. 3 waitresses came by to take our drink order. To start we ordered their wing/pub chips but instead of blue cheese we asked for cheddar, which is what most places serve anyway. Waitress said she had to check if they could do that. We also ordered a dinner salad and the 25 wing combo with 5 flavors, all to share. 10 minutes later the waitress came back and said yes we could do cheddar on our pub chips. Now we waited for awhile, 25 minutes later we got our pub/wing chips. The cheese wasn't even melted. Just sprinkled on top. We received regular ranch when the menu said it came with their house made spicy ranch. Another 30 minutes now, so 55 minutes from when we ordered, we get our salad and wings. Salad comes with ranch again, when menu says house made spicy ranch. Our wings aren't even hot. We decided to just eat anyway because we were already annoyed with the long wait times. We ordered wings in the flavors Wang Wang, Mild, Garlic Parmesan, Lemon Pepper, and Spicy Ranch. Garlic Parmesan was literally so so so salty we couldn't eat them. Lemon Pepper was pretty salty as well, but had a fake lemon flavor to them. Spicy Ranch tasted like they had nothing on them. Wang Wang was VERY good. Mild was really good too, but it's definitely not like a regular buffalo mild. I'm more of a "hot" girl, but since sharing them we opted for mild. The only good things I have to say is they kept our drinks filled, the salad was good, and the Mild & Wang Wang sauce were both good. The decor was cute too, nice and modern. Our half order of pub chips, salad, and wings was over $50 for two people. To be completely honest, I wouldn't even bother going here. They'd been open for a few weeks and weren't busy, plus they had plenty of staff, so I don't know what the issue was. From the time we sat down to the time we left we were there for 1.5 hours. We weren't the only ones either, the party of 3 people next to us were quite annoyed for the long waits as well. The second star is only for our kind and attentive server. Wings were "ok". Undercooked and not the best flavor. I made sure to mention I like mine WAY overdone. I stressed this, and promised they couldn't be over cooked. When I got them then, they were soggy. We had an extensive wait for food, which was ok, but the room was FULL of over served guests acting out and behaving like idiots. Very rude. Great wings and food! We tried 2 of their sauces the wang wang was great and the chipotle was ok. The fried pickles/jalapenos/banana peppers appetizer was yummy too. Loved this place! Their menu is very big and has so much variety! We started out with the picklepeno appetizer which is fried jalapeños, banana peppers, and pickles. They had the perfect amount of batter and we revived both regular and spicy ranch for dipping. Those jalapeños sure had a kick which I loved! I ordered the buffalo wanger wrap with fried okra. The okra wasn't anything special...it was good but again, nothing set it apart from anywhere else. The wrap though threw a big punch with its buffalo sauce and guess what??? The entire wrap was portioned to perfection! It wasn't overrun with lettuce and hardly chicken...it was filled with huge chicken strips. I added shredded cheese to the wrap as well which gave a great addition. Other items ordered at our table: chicken fingers which were big and breaded to perfection and a patty melt. The bread was amazing! Only suggestion for the patty melt was that it could be more "juicy and messy" :) our drinks stayed filled the entire time and our service was great! Will definitely be back to enjoy the patio area when the weather turns cooler. read more

Let me start by saying the food wasn't terrible, but it wasn't great either. Wings were rubbery and the sauce had a strange flavor. Our bartender, Tiana, had no personality and seemed to be in way over her head when it comes to bartending. The place isn't even big enough for her to appear as slammed as she seemed. Not to mention that I watched her clean up a spill on the floor AND touch the trash can several times without bothering to wash her hands. Which would have been difficult since the hand sink had dirty glasses in it. The manager was touching her personal cell phone and the POS sales system also without washing her hands. The wings are very big, but lack the better part! They're also overpriced for what you get. Expect to pay $.75 each for any dipping sauce. Wings are "ok", nothing special. Service is quite literally some of the worst I've ever experienced. I keep coming back bc they are so close to my house and I think every time "surely it's gotten better", but they haven't. I feel stupid for even going back so many times. I've ordered take out from them 5-6 times in the past year and a half and quite literally EVERY TIME they get my order wrong. And I'm not talking about leaving off some ranch or blue cheese, I'm talking about completely wrong and leaving things off the order. I usually don't find it until I get home, but the last few times I actually drove back to get the rest of my orders they left off. Maybe it's just the staff that just plain doesn't give a crap, but I have better order accuracy and service from a McDonalds drive thru at 1 AM. The only reason I give it a star at all is their wings aren't horrible, but There are MUCH better places to get wings close by than this place. Man this place is an oasis in a desert. With the terrible work ethic here in Columbia this place lacks the apathy and carelessness of that "chain" feeling. I just called in an order last minute on special Sunday. The wait was less than the chain wing place i tried first (which i should have skipped altogether) and not only did they fill an order of 25 wings, but they are ballin! Really enjoy this place We have eaten here with friends several times now and we have not had a bad meal. The wings are excellent-not too greasy and with very good flavor. I love the tuna tacos-just the right amount of food for me. The service has always been excellent and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Our server Jennifer was efficient and fun! If I could give less than one star I would. This place is AWFUL. I should've known when I first called & NO ONE answered the phone. We went into the restaurant to see a sign that said "please seat yourself." We sat at a partially dirty table (there were no clean ones) for about 10 minutes. Within that time other parties had come in & gotten service while we had yet to even be greeted. After multiple servers had passed by us with out acknowledging our presence, I went up to the bar to say something. The bartender just stared at me with a blank face & said nothing so we left. We tried this place in spite of whatever reviews are out there. We're so glad we did! Came on a Monday at 5:30, and staff was totally attentive, food and beer came out promptly, and it was delicious!!!! Get the ahi tuna tacos...out of this world. Lexington, give this place a chance. I'm tired of all of the good restaurants being put out of business, and just being stuck with Applebee's and Flight Deck. Come give it another try!!! read more
