I like the to think of myself as a chicken wing connoisseur. That being said, and with much reservation, I would like to declare these the best wings I've had in my life. I've tried the lemon pepper medium wings twice and they are 10/10. The honey chipotle bbq are really good too. The wings are halal, so they aren't those huge "jumbo" wings that other places have that come from pumped up chickens. Cooked crispy to perfection. The couple who owns the spot are very nice and personable with the locals. The place is small inside but they have a few seats if you wanted to crush real quick, and if there's a game on, they usually have it on. Craving some today I looked to see if they were open and saw that they were temporary closed due to late rent from the recent lack of business from COVID. The amount of sauces they have available are just as good, and I still need to try more of them, but the jerk wings are just money. The combos are the best way to go in my mind. They were slightly overcooked but, that is not the reason for my rating. My main complaint is the lack of seasoning. Picture someone frying unseasoned chicken and then sprinkling it with a tiny bit of lemon pepper seasoning. Thanks to Tony's Cajun seasoning, we were able to get it down but, to say it was enjoyable would be a stretch. Went in anonymously today at a time where most joints are worn out and the kitchen quickly knocks orders out without precision, but to be greeted with fresh food and energetic staff definitely gave me a reassuring impression. I made a recommendation a few days ago to the owner and to have received the order exactly as I had hoped for is what I got. Wings crispy, tossed to perfection, just the right amount of sauce, no spillage. The quality of the wings has definitely improved drastically. I am ecstatic that us Houston halalis have scored a good wing spot! First things first, the owners are absolutely delightful. Second. Those wings are phenomenal. After multiple visits I've settled on hot lemon pepper as my go to but I'm happy with all the hot flavors (I, personally, don't care for sweet wings). Very generous sauce helpings and I've never felt cheated on wing girth or quality. The fries are also really good. Be forewarned though you can expect them to be soggy if you're driving back home over 20 minutes before eating as your food will be hot (made to order) the condensation will do condensation things. I'm always full with a medium order. There is a tendency for the wings to be fried hard which is my preference but may not be to everyone's liking. There is a discount for first responders, I can't confirm military discounts. It's also cheaper to call rather than order via chow now or another app. Next time I go I'll take pictures. read more
