Fortune Cookie: Supportive friends are coming your way.
    Yolande M.

Wing's Gardens is located in Oak Park on 9 Mile between Wyoming and Livernois. They specialize in: Cantonese and Szechuan Chinese Cuisine. They are open everyday except Monday. I dropped by the day before Super Bowl Sunday. I hadn't been here in many moons. I sat in my car on a call and ordered my food through Door Dash for pickup. Let me tell you! The parking lot was jumping with cars going in and out! That is always a good sign! The restaurant no longer has a dine in option. They are strictly takeout. One former area with booths is blocked off with a table. Another area with booths appears to only serve for seating for customers while they wait for their order. Beyond the checkout area, two more tables block an area and serve to hold orders ready for pickup. I feel they need to place a curtain to block that dark open area from view with all the pile of boxes. I ordered the sesame chicken with plain fried rice plus a spring roll. The aroma in the car let me know it was going to be a good meal. The portions were great and enough for two meals. It was delicious! Fortune Cookie: "Supportive friends are coming your way." So there's that!

I had been craving for some chinese food and this place came highly recommended. They have a dining room but it is currently closed and you can only get carry out but the inside is clean and has plenty of seating. I ordered the Sesame Chicken with Shrimp Fried Rice, Peppered Steak with Shrimp Fried Rice. The amount of food they give you for the price is crazy(in a good way)!! Service was quick and the nice man was making sure everybody had what they ordered. I ate my food so fast I forgot to take pics but I will next time.

This is my favorite Chinese food meal. The problem is that I moved to Alabama and you can't get almond chicken there. Turns out it's a Michigan thing!!!!! Well, I went home for a quick visit and my sister told me about this spot. I kept my fingers crossed. Almond chicken is all about the gravy!!!!!!!!! This place did not disappoint!!! The gravy was !!! And the portion sizes are ridiculously large!!!! This was yummy. The staff was friendly. You can dine in here; it looks like your typical Chinese restaurant decor. I can't wait till my next visit. This place was definitely !!! Check them out!!!!

The sauce on the chicken was very good, not too spicy. The only downside was parts of the chicken were a little chewy. The guy at the corner was kinda impolite when it came to pickup and payment processes as if I'd been there before (I have not). To be fair, it was 30 minutes before close. The star of the show was their shrimp which had a great consistency and flavor. Side eye to the up charge for shrimp but they were cooked perfectly.

Don't judge a book by its cover! Constancy and great portion sizes makes this one of my go to places for inexpensive Chinese food!

Maybe 3.5 stars. The first bite had a sharp flavor note that I didn't care for, but it wasn't noticeable after that bite. The broccoli was fresh and had a decent texture. I almost ordered the Hong Kong Low Mein, but decided against it as the current price seemed high for noodles, but my partner ended up getting it and I am so glad I didn't order it. There is an absolute ton of it, but the oil is strange, the noodles are strange, and there aren't many things in it, just a gigantic heap of strangely greasy noodles. We also got Hot and Sour Soup which was more like a very thick Hot and Sweet Stew with corn(?) and a LOT of bamboo. It took lime juice and soy to be edible. I don't write reviews often, but this is the weirdest Chinese food I've ever eaten anywhere. Maybe it's the Hong Kong factor or maybe the family that inherited it just have their way of doing things. I would not order from this restaurant again. There's better delivery-grade Chinese to be had in Oak Park/Ferndale and beyond.
