Where do I start with this review, hmm. Well about a few weeks ago I went to a hooters down by the coast line of Long Beach and besides the nice views, the wings were very delicious! Better than the other big chicken wing establishment I refuse to state. The other day I bought some Foster Farms frozen hot wings from a local Ralphs and to my dismay, they tasted how I expected them to...dry, heavily breaded, and no taste. It dawned on me that I would never have an exceptional chicken wing experience unless I head back to ol' reliable, Hootie the owl. That's until I stumbled upon Wings Empire. This place is a hole in the wall but don't let that discourage you from the amazing food that are whipping up in the kitchen. There was a lengthy line of hungry wing lovers waiting outside for their food and I zipped right by them to order a 5 wing combo with breadsticks and chicken fries with mango habanero sauce. I didn't wait too long for the food the be prepared and as the chef handed the wings over to the lady out front to pack it, she inspected them and homegirl sent it back saying my wings needed more sauce. I could've cried a single tear of how joyful I was with how much they pay attention to detail. When I got home with my order, I opened the boxes and holy cow! I've only been at this location twice and this last time while I was ordering I saw a small roach on the counter. The guy taking my order saw it and just pushed it with his hand towards the kitchen that was just nasty. Something that I didn't like either was that the guy and the girl taking orders just smiled after the guy threw the roach like if it was funny. I've been to Mesa, CA location and theirs is really clean. Owners seemed to be there they should probably take better care of there restaurant and make sure there is no pesticides I normally don't place negative reviews but it was just gross and unprofessional that the staff thought it was funny. read more

And the price is decent for what you are getting. The only thing that I have a problem is how small the place is. I payed for "extra wet" and they're still dry! For the 2nd time in a row! My ranch also came half empty. They're so stingy with their sauces/ranch and the customer service needs improvement!
