One of the workers were digging in the freshly made fries picking out the ones he wants and was eating them! Disgusting.

The place is quite big, if you see a full parking lot, don't worry, between the large bar, restaurant area and patio, you will find a place to sit. We went for Taco Tuesday. All of the food is great! The quesadilla had a lot of cheese and chicken, his taco's were as full as you could get them. Just because it says Taco Tuesday does not mean they only serve tacos. They have a great selection of Mexican food on Tuesdays. It was hard for me to choose, but I finally decided on a quesadilla for $9.50 and added rice and beans for $1 each. My husband chose the taco place for $10. Sour cream is an extra $1, salsa $.75. Bailey our server was great, she was spot on. Every employee greeted you with a smile and a hello. It is a nice atmosphere here, very friendly. Upon leaving, there were a couple at the bar that said goodbye and to have a nice night and chatted with us for a little bit. I am thinking they are regulars, It is so nice to have people do that and you never saw them before. Anyway, while we were there someone ordered spaghetti and meatballs, that is something I want to get from there. I almost asked if I could get a picture. 3 good size meatballs. We will definitely be back. Side note, we always go out early to avoid crowds and wait times. We were there around 4:30ish.

Friends and I stopped here on a party bus and the staff was so accommodating welcoming a large group on such a busy day. Ryan also hooked us up with a free appetizer! Ryan bought out his partner so I figured give them another try. We did get fried pickles on each of our sandwiches, I got seasoned fries ( I would say battered, but I didn't taste any seasoning), and he got tots. My husband's burger was good, the server was not doing well this morning due to being over zealous last night with alcohol and she never asked how he wanted his burger, pink or no pink. It came out no pink, but it was not dry and was good. The burger is supposed to come with lettuce, tomato and onion. I had a BLT, well I had a BL, they did not have tomato. I was not told this by our server, when the sandwich came I noticed no tomato and I asked the other server and she said they were out of tomatoes. I told her I wish I would have known as I would have ordered something else. No offer of a discount, no offer of ordering something else, no I am sorry. She then told our server that they are out of tomatoes, well they are not out as they ran out, the owner said they are too expensive so he is not buying them. SHEET! A BLT has very few ingredients and tomato is one of the main ingredients. Not having tomato on a burger is a little different than not having tomato on a BLT. If you do are not buying ingredients, all of your staff needs to know an you need to let the customer know before the order comes out without the ingredients. Disappointed to say the least. I will give them one more try as we are really trying to shop local and support SM businesses. They do have a brunch on Saturday and Sunday, I did not get a picture of the 4 breakfast items, but you can order anything on the menu.

These were next level and our little one's eyes got so big and bright when we walked in. Then things went downhill - we got there right at 11am when they opened and we were seated at a table in the back by a hallway that had a draft. I asked if we could sit in the big room with more for my daughter to look at while we dined in. The waitress in that space rudely said "no" stating the room was still being cleaned and tables set up - major bummer. Our actual waitress was very sweet and attentive. We ordered a Mediterranean rice bowl (without meat so it was vegetarian-friendly), a Philly with onion strings and a slice of their seasonal peppermint cheesecake. The food was mediocre. The bowl was lacking and a small portion. If someone doesn't add a protein it would be nice if you at least added some more rice or cut the price down. Just my two cents. And there was a piece of metal in the onion rings which the waitress thought was from the scrubber they used to clean the equipment in back. They comped the Philly meal with the onion rings which I felt was the least they could do. I get it - things happen - and we didn't make a big deal about it but that's a deal breaker for us. Especially if our toddler is eating out with us because then I'm on edge waiting for the metal to make a repeat appearance and that's not enjoyable for anyone.

TomKen's has classic sports bar vibes. They were busy when I visited on a Saturday afternoon. It took a little while to get my order in. But the people were nice and there was a Brewers game on TV and I didn't mind hanging out for awhile. I got the famous friendly chicken dinner. This was a 4-piece half chicken dinner with coleslaw, fries and Italian bread. It was a lot of food especially for the price. The chicken was juicy and the batter was nicely salty. The fries were the crinkle variety--nothing special on their own but a nice potato-ey complement to the chicken. The cole slaw was solid--a little sweet and not too mayonnaise heavy. One should not eat fried chicken every day of course, but I would definitely come back for a treat.

I started cutting into the brisket and was immediately turned off. This was like cutting into a piece of beef jerky. It was try and tough and I shouldn't have even put it in my mouth, but I reluctantly did! Oh wait, this isn't that forum in that adult magazine.... But Yuck Yuck Yuck to that dry meat. Luckily, there was a LOT of brisket so I fished around and cut a piece from the other end and wow... BUTTER! This was some of the juiciest brisket I've had. The fat rendered nicely and it was still meaty. SOOOO good. Yes, this good part was connected to the bad part. The $6 add on for the sausage was pretty good as well, as was the side of Mac n Cheese. With the add on, it's probably a shareable plate for most people, including me these days. Parking is limited as it's kind of in a neighborhood, and the Redbar itself has a locals, dive-bar vibe, which isn't a bad thing. Just something you should know! Cheap beers though!
