Loss 2 points because we ordered 12 wings Carolina Gold/Lemon Pepper Dry Rub) the fat was not rendered on the chicken, which indicates it's not done. The Carolina Gold had minimal sauce on it. Solid spot for wings, but they close pretty early for a takeout joint, at least compared to the bigger metropolitan areas. Their website stated they were out of wings ,but when i called they didnt seem to have any issue taking the large order. Weird... The wings themselves were well seasoned and sauced, though they didnt include celery/carrots or blue cheese or ranch. That was pretty disappointing. I dont normally go for breaded wings, but these were lightly dusted so they didnt fill you up too much. Really good wings! The real stars come from the sauces!! Every sauce we had was top notch. We got bone-in bourbon bacon & berry bbq-- both were incredible flavors. The bourbon bacon has literal bacon bits on it too. I would say these were our favorite flavors from what we got! We also got boneless orange sesame ginger, which were also a great flavor-- had a little kick to it! Finally, we got the turkey wing with honey garlic sauce. This is like a literal roasted turkey leg, like you would get at a fair. The smallest order comes with two. What made this good was that it's so different from other general wing options, and sauce pools in the bottom of the container which is great for dipping once you get past the top bites. Mac and cheese was okay-- it was what you would expect... It's a drier mac, as opposed to a "cheesier" version. Good option for an extra side. This was a pick-up order so I can't speak to ambiance inside. The lady I picked up from was very friendly though and carried the bag around the counter, not just handed over, so I would hope the whole staff is as pleasant as she was!! read more

This place is a gem and I'm only disappointed we didn't discover it sooner. We make a trip to Kalahari a few times a year and spend our days paying for overpriced, mediocre food. We decided to look outside of the resort without traveling too far for a quick bite and found Wingz and a Prayer. What a great find! The people could not have been nicer, and the food was excellent! The regular wings, boneless wings, collard greens, and mac & cheese were all fantastic! We are planning our next trip to the area and can't wait to make another stop. This was probably my fourth time ordering from Wingz and A Prayer. The first three times were when they first opened the Pocono location, loved the food, everything was great. Fast forward to August 2023 - ordered three types of sauces on my wings, only got two, wings were very fatty, yams not sweet, Mac and cheese tasted bland and dry. Blue cheese from a little cup of Ken's salad dressing...back when they opened they at least put the blue cheese in a cup and made it seem like they made it. Very disappointing. Finally checked out this fine establishment. It puts all chain wing places to shame! These are the best wings you can find in all of the Poconos! Maybe all of NEPA. We got the bourbon and Thai peanut sauces. The wings are all perfectly well coated, and crispy. The sauces are amazing! The Thai peanut is absolutely delish! Wingz and a Prayer, is LEGIT! So I'll start off with the fact that I didn't take any pics of the food because we pretty much scarfed it down as soon as it came out (sorry bout that). Our first experience was over the summer, we are local and love wings. Decided to give wingz and a prayer and shot and it was just so darn good. I'm very picky about wings and this is the best around this area. We had about 80 wings come out with different sauces and all were crispy and hot and came out fairly quickly. My second time visiting, I went and did a pick up order on Super Bowl Sunday 2023. They were turning orders out left and right, got home and unpacked everything and even though some of the wings were soggy (no fault of the restaurant, it's just how most wet rubbed wings get after a bit) they were still delicious. Also had the Mac and cheese and tried out the coco bread mmmmmmm. If I weren't so lazy, I'd go out to eat here at least once a week. I was surprised to see turkey wings on the menu for a wing spot and I was glad I chose it, if you like turkey wings like I do signs of a good turkey wing is when the meat falls off the bone and that's exactly what I got. We tried a bunch of flavors, our favorite was the Thai peanut, Buffalo garlic, Alabama white and berry barbecue. On the last day of our trip, my famoly got stranded by some car issues so we decided to stop by here for lunch. This was honestly the best wings my family has ever had. This was an extremely cozy place with the friendly staff. Our family had a great time here talking to the owner and people who worked here with warm conversations about ski trips, new york food spots, to the origins of this restaurant. They checked in multiple times to see how we were enjoying our food and the owner even brought a sample of his wasabi sauce to keep us going and a taste of his cheesy corn bread. We might've gotten too much for 3 people but no regrets because I would love eating this as leftovers. We got the sauces for our bone-in wings: Bacon Bourbon, Mango Habanero, Garlic Parm, and Carolina Gold. They were all delicious. The Mac and Cheese is a must-have side order. We were stuffed but I wish we got the bakery goods as well because they looked delicious. After we even ordered more take out for the rest of our family on the trip. I genuinely would come back here every time if we are in the area again. And I will recommend Wingz and a Prayer to anyone I know visiting Poconos. Be aware that they are 100% not cheap, it's a small business and this economy is tough so you will for sure pay a bit more for your meal, but it's honestly well worth it.
