This shop is great! Great service, great price even I didn't know about the discount ($55 total with certification). The owner/tech was helpful, friendly and honest. I don't know about the 1 star, but I think the customers were the problem on these cases. Have a wonderful day to everyone!

Went last minute without an appointment and got in right away 30 min to closing. They honored my Valpak coupon price and got me out of there within 15 min. There's a waiting room on the side where they test your car or you can sit on the bench if it's full inside. They usually have their STAR certified rating but still waiting on it for this year. Maybe will get that in a month or two from this review? Very nice and professional. They take credit and Apple Pay if you are wondering.

Painless! This time I was in and out in five minutes. In the past with two cars ahead of me it still only took thirty minutes. Being open on Saturday's is very convenient. It is kind of hard to find at the back of the industrial park but its so easy, fast, and only $40. Will be back when I need a smog check again. read more

Great location for a smog place, especially on newer cars and they offer free water bottles which comes in handy for hot sunny days. This would be a place to let all my friends in the area to come in and get their smog done at. Thanks guys. read more

I got in quickly at opening no waiting! The test was quick, maybe 15 minutes tops. The Tech was pleasant and helpful. The waiting room was clean and comfortable with drinks available. The license plates on the wall were neat too look at also. Will definitely come back when I need another smog test read more

This place is great! I drove right up, the gentleman came out and greeted me and my daughter. He had me fill out a very short form and then I sat in the waiting room which is the testing area. TV, water and comfortable chairs. Maybe about 8 minutes later, he came in and said I passed, I paid and I was done! He has some fun stuff on the walls to look at too. My 4 year old was intrigued the whole time! read more

Winnetka Smog provides excellent service and customer relations. They honor coupons and are honest. They also own 2 other smog stations (A&E Smog and ASM Smog) in the S.F. Valley. I'm a repeat customer and will be bring my other vehicles here for smog. Miguel was very thorough with his work and efficient. Prices lower than ALL AMERICAN SMOG station across the street (check reviews in Yelp; never go here and deal with rude owner/employee who is a scammer!). I highly recommended Winnetka Smog station. read more

I needed to get a smog check and was just putting it off as I dread auto stuff. I called and had the most pleasurable experience. They fit me in right away and it was so cost efficient. They have great service and know a lot about cars. I highly recommend this place to anyone who needs a smog check. located in a row of mechanic shops on saticoy. Actually in the very back where you park. And before I get into details let me say I've experienced my fair share of shops that smog trying to upsell and get as much as they can from pre test/ re test/ repairs so on and so on even one that was willing to throw in a free oil change. (Nothing's free) lol anyways I parked my truck and walked up to the garage before even getting there Alex came out and greeted me. Very professional and from someone who runs a business and knows how important customer service is I was very impressed,To say the least . Usually that would be worth a review now a days in itself. But they had me in and out in less than 10 minutes. That was awesome. Thanks guys. Great service for a great price and super convenient. Definitely going to recommend to everyone I know. read more

I went to A & E Smog without an appointment and Eddie managed to get me on my way in less than 20 minutes. His prices were more than fair, he was very courteous. The waiting room is nice and clean with TV and water. Great place to go, he did not play those games where he gives you a price over the phone and once you're there changes the price. (Yes, its happened to me). read more

Very friendly, easy and quick service. I did not ask for price beforehand; after the service, I mentioned yelp, and got a $20 discount right away. The price was good. I was a bit surprised that they don't make you to write a review in exchange for the discount (which I am not too comfortable with). We have moved around the corner in front of Popeyes by the Winnetka Post Office. 7624 Winnetka Ave Unit A1 Winnetka, CA 91306 My name is Alex, and I manage Winnetka Smog, previously known as A&E Test Only. I attended Nobel, Chatsworth High, and Pierce College. In other words I grew up in the Valley. We are sponsors for Chatsworth High sports team, and a great supporter for the Pierce College Automotive Program. There are a few team members at A&E Test Only, but I will be the one that you will probably see the most. We are known for our honesty, friendliness, and fast service. We hope to see you soon!

This is one of the few automotive shops left that is still honest, good price, clean, bilingual, fast, courteous and the technicians are actually knowledgeable and willing to answer questions. I just took in my car to get a smog, and being a girl, I was a little hesitant because I do not know much about cars. To my surprise I was not given the run around with the price and the technician was very informative. He told me exactly what I needed to do next. Also, they have a great and clean waiting area in the shop with a TV. I will always bring my car here. I had called a place around the corner (on winnetka and saticoy) and the technician was rude, harassing and a total rip off. He charges $20 more a car and does not offer a free retest, unlike A&E who is more economical and does offer a retest. read more

it was that time to get my car a smog test... I went this morning to get my car smoged I went and stoped at the first place i saw i parked my car and asked for a price they told me $60 i said fine and waited in line to have my car smoged,to pass the time i checked my I phone for other smog test shops in the area and read the reviews on A&E I gave them a call they Quoted me $48 out the door,I asked the other guy if he will match A&E price he said "we don't match prices" i got into my car drove to A&E was out after 15min got great service and a fair price i was very happy. read more

Eddie and Alex are the Bomb!!! not only did i get a wee bit of lee way for the FREE RETEST butt $45 including certificate at a "smog Cert" where dmv requires i got to the 'STAR' cert, not only did i pass but they really worked with me and were very helpful and simply Glorious!!! thank you, everyone else wanted $70 and NO retest; i'll also dropped my id and $ and eddie gave it back untouched and even called me; v ery good people, very quick very glorious and i got my F#$%^tags, whoohoo! read more

Received DMV registration renewal notice for STAR certified SMOG Station. Chose Winnetka Smog, because of their 5 star reviews on Yelp. Got $20 discount when mentioned about yelp. Eddie smoged my Kia Optima. Got lucky as I don't have to wait and got done in less than 10 minutes as no one was there before me. Passed and $40 out the door price for a STAR Smog Station. No extra surprises or charges for E certificate and other crap. read more
