I absolutely love the pizza here! Enjoy the friendly staff, and the service is always on point!

Since my last visit and review of Wiseguys Pizza, the business owner reached out to me, following up on the critiques I had. It was so refreshing for me to have this follow-up as it showed they want to earn my repeat business again as I had fallen off due to some quality and timing inconsistencies. They followed up again to let me know they made adjustments to their menu and then went a step further and created a new specialty pizza based on the pizza toppings I've been ordering around Buffalo. Based on the experience I had this Saturday, Wiseguys Pizza is coming back, with a vengeance, into my "go-to" pizza list!! On a Saturday, I called around 4:45pm and was connected to a young woman, who immediately informed me she was a new hire in training, which I appreciated - It helps to level-set expectations and show extra grace and patience. It took her a few times to get my phone number (I do have a Rochester-area code and live in Buffalo so it's a little jarring... haha) and when I asked for the new specialty pizza, she had a little difficulty finding it and at one point asked what toppings I wanted, so I was a little worried, but she quickly grabbed a manager and everything was squared away. Once my order was in the system, she told me it'd be ready in 30 minutes. I arrived about 35 minutes later and parked on the street, right at their front door. I walked in, paid for my pizza, chatted with one of the managers working for a moment, and walked out, literally two or three minutes I was in there. This was a critique from the last few visits so it was very refreshing to have my pizza ready when I got there, no delays! For dinner, I ordered a medium (13", eight slice) new, 2026 specialty pizza: The Clark Kent Pizza, which is mozzarella cheese, red sauce, pepperoni, HUGE slices of meatballs, banana peppers, then hot honey drizzled over it all. I took the business owner's recommendation of asking for the bottom to be a little extra crispy too. For transparency, they actually ended up making my pizza an extra-large (18", ten slice) but didn't catch it until they brought it out, but had no issue with me taking it, while paying the medium-size price. I will take a side-tangent here and say, whenever there was a mistake at Wiseguys Pizza, the management and staff have always gone above and beyond for me to make things right! I have had orders where the wrong toppings were put on and they go out of their way to make the right pizza and let me take home the "wrong" pizza, free of charge, and they deliver the right pizza for free, instead of having me wait around for it. The managers at Wiseguys Pizza are incredibly customer-first, friendly, and do whatever they can to accommodate. So, The Clark Kent Pizza... one of the best pizzas I have ever had, period! There was so much cheese and (not-so-sweet) red sauce on every slice. There were soo many pepperonis, the banana pepper rings were plentiful, adding a nice level of spice without scorching the tastebuds. But my goodness, the meatballs... 2025 was the year of ordering meatballs on pizza and Wiseguys Pizza's spin on meatballs has got to be the best I've had - Thick, meaty slices bursting with flavor. To help seal the deal was the drizzle of hot honey on top, which they measured out perfectly as each slice had an extra sticky, sweet heat, while not leaving your hands a sticky mess. Asking for the dough underneath to be extra crispy was also the solution I've been looking for as the dough was perfect this time - Not floppy, wet in the center and every slice held up the denseness of the toppings with zero issue, while the crust had an excellent level of crispy and chewy. It doesn't really need to be mentioned but the extra-large size is more than plenty for one person (even for a guy with a "healthy" appetite like me), but every slice was nicely sized and I'm looking forward to reheating the other half for dinner very soon. As for the price, even though I paid for a medium and received two sizes larger, I've ordered medium pizzas from Wiseguys Pizza before and they are very much in-line with the majority of Buffalo pizza shops, so no complaints/surprises here. If you've made it to the end of this review, congrats and thank you! haha After being reached out to by the business owner from Wiseguys Pizza, I saw how much they cared about his business, but also cared about earning my business back. That really impressed me. If you've read my other reviews, I really like Wiseguys Pizza, but the big thing now, for me at least, is they can consistently keep this level of quality. Going off my most recent visit though, I most certainly will be ordering more of my Saturday night pizzas from Wiseguys Pizza!

First thing is first. I owe a huge debt of thanks to Fox E. for the recommendation. That man is a genius when it comes to Buffalo pizza and wings. Second, more than anything, eating wings this good at a divey little take out pizza place in South Buffalo just makes me angry. Angry at so many things. Angry that so many other wing places fall far short of the brilliance of these wings. Angry at folks who flock to places that are banking on their historical reputations rather than the quality of their wings. Angry at those places who know better but still put out inferior wings. Dear God, these wings are good. From Fox's fingers to my ears. Wings, medium, extra saucy. There is no need to ask for them crispy, because these wings are perhaps the crispiest I have ever had. Even crispier than at Fox's other favorite place. AND that crispiness does not come at the expense of juiciness. Not at all. The meat is tender, flavorful, and pulls cleanly from the bones. If I was picking at nits, I might knock off a point for a broken emulsion in the sauce. But hot damn, that medium stuff is tasty and the exactly the flavor profile I want in a classic wing from this part of the word. Wings come with celery sticks and a nice super chunky blue cheese cup. At first I was concerned WiseGuys may have switched over to Ken's industrial cups, since I saw a case of those sitting in the fridge, but thankfully those concerns were misplaced. It's a damn near perfect wing. While Buffalo style pizza is still not my thing, this is one of the better versions I have tried. Perhaps because the dough isn't quite as thick. Don't get me wrong. It's still thick and doughy, as it should be. Just not quite as high. And I dig those thick cut, cup and char pepperoni. We were the only people I saw eating our food on site. There are two booths inside, and one small two-top in the window. On the side deck there are three picnic tables. There are no bathrooms. Tap water wasn't available and Dasani is what they have in bottles. There is little ambiance. Eating outside meant being asked for a dollar from a passing local, and then breathing in his second hand smoke as he sat on the steps and had a conversation with an equally colorful guy from the neighborhood. But you know what? With food this good, I am happy to put up with all of this and more. Eating these wings filled me with such a sense of bliss and joy, and yes anger too, but much much more joy. These are what wings should be. Everywhere. All the time. I feel like everyone who eats wings should come here and get a taste. Then, perhaps, we might be less forgiving of every other place that falls so far short of this benchmark. This is why wings are famous. This is why Fox E is a national treasure. The best foods are rarely found at the famous places. They are at these little off the beaten path places that hold the line and do damn fine work day in and day out. Get here. Get happy. Then get angry. Then tell your friends and anyone else who will listen. I am already looking forward to my next visit, whenever that may be. Oh, one last thing. On a Saturday night the slice display was empty. Maybe that's because it was Saturday night. Forewarned is forearmed. Regardless, it doesn't change a thing about the excellence and surprising supremacy of WiseGuys.

First time customer here ....We ordered a slice of pizza to go along with the rest of our order and this is what we received. Come on! You seriously box something up that looks like this? I am torn between a 1 star for appearance and a 4 star for taste. To charge for this mess is crazy work.

Mmmm! Loved, loved, loved this pizza. Just sticking with a staple, we ordered a large cheese and pepperoni pizza, with a side of blue cheese. This pizza was delicious. Perfectly crispy, classic buffalo cupped/spicy pepperoni and simple cheesy goodness. The sauce was different with a little bit of a sweeter touch, and once I added a little crushed red pepper, it was the perfect balance. If you look at the picture, it's almost like there was no crust on the pizza because it was perfectly covered in toppings, and that's exactly how I like my pizza! Every bite was full of flavor. I'm bummed that I am so late in trying this spot, but so glad that I finally did!

I was in town for one evening and decided to try a local pizza place. All I can say is that it was an exceptionally good pizza. The dough had just the right amount of thickness, the pizza sauce was outstanding with a robust taste and the toppings were liberally applied and tasted perfect. If I ever go back to Buffalo I will definitely be going back for more pizza. I highly recommend this pizza joint!!

It's been years since I've had wise guys and I was not disappointed. They used to have another location that closed. This location is south buffalo had some of the best fingers I've had in a long time. A little bit more pricey than others places for fingers, but totally worth it. Their blue cheese is so good not like the Ken's dressing most restaurants just give out. I can't wait to go back. Service was cool, I had an issue, and they fixed it for me. There were a couple tables inside and some old school video games to play. I also saw a Christmas tree and that they are collecting toys for something, which is nice.

I had heard good things about Naked City Pizza, so I decided to take a break from my usual spots and give them a try and overall, I am very pleased! I called around 4:45pm on a Saturday and a gentleman took my order. He was courteous and friendly and said my order would be ready in 25-30 minutes. I arrived about 30 minutes later, easily finding a parking spot in their large parking lot, which is a mixture of pavement and dirt/gravel. Walking inside the shop, it's similar to most Buffalo pizza shops where it's relatively small and really about take-out, not for dining in. There were a few young guys working the counter and ovens, they were able to get me in and out quickly. From the limited time I was inside, the workers were friendly enough, they seemed to get along well. For dinner, I ordered a Quarter Sheet (6 slices) Steak and Three Cheese pizza but the gentleman who took my order over the phone put my order in as a Half Sheet (12 slices). They realized the mistake too late and gave me the Half Sheet for the Quarter Sheet price! I really do appreciate that, it's great customer service. I have half a pizza leftover for a quick dinner now! Naked City Pizza nails the traditional Buffalo-style with a doughier undercarriage and nice crispy, chewy crust. The dough was airy but it didn't seem as "heavy" as many other pizza places around Buffalo, but maybe I was just REALLY hungry. haha For their steak pizza, it seems like they use thicker pieces of steak, which was great, definitely felt more substantial. Most steak pizzas come topped with banana, hot, or sweet (bell/green) peppers, but Naked City uses roasted red peppers, which are sweet and have a more distinct flavor and softer texture - I was impressed, this paired VERY well with the other components! Along with them, there's also onions on top. The three cheeses used are cheddar, mozzarella, and parmesan, which of course are delicious. In addition to the roasted sweet peppers, the other component that I was surprised by was the white garlic sauce as the base. Steak pizzas around Buffalo vary from using a "hoagie oil/sauce" to just a huge variety of cheeses, no base sauce of any kind. I tend to stay away from white sauce on pizza as it's usually associated with garlic (I don't want my breath to be too... fragrant haha), but this wasn't too garlic-y, I didn't feel like I was "wearing it". I enjoyed the added creaminess the white sauce added to this pie. After six slices, I stopped myself and put the other half in the freezer. The six slices I had were delicious and filled me up nicely - The squares were cut nicely and they were plenty filling with tons of meat and cheese. I have a feeling these will reheat in the oven nicely. Looking at the prices, I was impressed too with how affordable Naked City Pizza is! All-in-all, I'm glad I gave Naked City Pizza a chance and had a great experience! The staff are friendly enough and quick, it's easy to get in and out quickly, and the pizza is traditional Buffalo-style so it's on the heartier end while being affordable. I look forward to ordering and trying a red sauce pizza from Naked City Pizza to see how sweet their sauce is.

Firm, fresh tomatoes, lettuce, cucumbers, red onions, crostini, and dressing that all complemented each other perfectly. Refreshing and delish! The Affogato...AffoMazing!! I took my son there for lunch the other day, and we were warmly welcomed by the owner, who as it turns out, I knew from his previous restaurants stops. I was surprised how good the San Franco pizza was! I also had a bowl of Pasta Fasola which was outstanding. I live in the city of Buffalo between Delaware and Elmwood and there are many pizza places around here, plus, I grew up on Bocce on Bailey pizza. However, the Forno Napoli pizza now ruins all others for me. I have never been to Italy, but I imagine this is what pizza is like there. Authentic and fresh. I'm taking all 3 of my kids back there tonight. Trying their salads and pasta as well. This place was very busy on a weekday at 4pm, so it is not a secret. It is also not cheap. The man who greeted us was kind helpful and I was impressed with the pizza options. We ordered: - Buffalo Chicken: had a really good flavor & was my favorite! - BBQ Chicken: my son loved it - Margerhita: also had a good flavor - Pickle: the best we've had by far - Beef Pattie: looks like a Jamaican one but isn't spicy and had a very strange almost veal or lamb taste. Overall the flavors of the pizzas were really very good, but unfortunately every slice was so overcooked and burnt that it quickly overtook the great flavor of each bite. Now, the thing is, everyone likes different kinds of pizza, and apparently Brooklyn style isn't necessarily our jam, but for something we really don't like (black crust), it was still very good and we would highly recommend it to people who like more cooked pizza.

So, for dinner, I ordered a QTR Sheet (six slice) from their "SUPER Specialty Pizza" menu - The BFLO Chicken Finger (blue cheese base) cooked "LIGHT WELL DONE", which is a choice between their homemade red sauce or blue cheese base that is topped with diced chicken fingers, mozzarella cheese, and Frank's (medium) sauce. The "LIGHT WELL DONE" option is for cooking the dough underneath a bit more, firming it up, making it crispier. I like a little extra cook on my pizza as, sometimes, the Buffalo-style dough is a bit too limp, almost soggy/wet, which makes holding a slice... challenging. haha Now, I've had a few chicken finger pizzas throughout the years and while I love them, they don't always love me back. They're typically very dense pizzas thanks to all the cheese (blue cheese base AND cheese blends on top) but I was impressed with how well One Pie Pizza Co.'s sat. Don't get me wrong, this pizza is absolutely loaded. When I opened the box, I was worried how I was going to pick it up as it looked messy, but as they say, appearances can be deceiving! I was impressed and didn't finish my meal wearing it all over my hands and face. Every slice was generously topped, the flavor was spot-on. Now, I love a cheesy pizza, but I really appreciate the constraint One Pie Pizza Co. showed with not going overboard with a "blend" of cheeses on top of a blue cheese base - The layer of mozzarella was plenty, a great flavor on its own. As with all of their pizza, this left me happy and full. With that $5 off coupon, this brought the price to under $20, an incredible price, especially in 2026! One Pie Pizza Co. remains one of my favorite pizzas in Buffalo. I'm glad I finally tried their chicken finger pizza, this was excellent. With how well it agreed with me, I'm pretty confident in saying One Pie Pizza Co. will be where I order chicken finger pizzas from exclusively going forward!

Excellent crispy crust. Go for bolder toppings. I had pepp with hit honey. I also had mush onion…read moreand that didn't hold up as well. Anthony Bourdain tip...I had to use restroom which is really only for staff. However it was super clean and nice and AB says if they keep it that nice you can imagine the kitchen. Well done One Pie!
