I love this place. The chicken here hits differently, lol. It's crispy on the outside, has flavor, and is juicy on the inside. The Mac and cheese here also slaps. I recommend that if you come here, you get: a couple of pieces of chicken, Mac and cheese, a piece of jalapeño cornbread, and grab one of the craft beers they have in the fridges. BTW they have a great selection of craft beer. The service is pretty good but when they're busy, you could end up waiting up to about 10 mins for your food. On the weekends, they're open late, so this is a great spot after a long night!

I went online looking for the best fried chicken and biscuits in Philadelphia....and in most of the searches, Wishbone came up. So, I tried it today. I ordered a large breast and a large biscuit.....I asked for honey, they didn't have any! I had to think quickly - there was a CVS about a block away....I found my honey! The chicken had a flavorful, crisp breading that was a perfect contrast to its tenderness. It was delicious. Every great chicken needs a good biscuit, and Wishbone delivered with a flaky, light and fluffy mouthwatering one! I drizzled the chicken and biscuit with honey and savored every bite! Wishbone has one of the city's best fried chicken and biscuits.....(bring your own honey)!

Was in the area and we saw Wishbone. The decor and how they displayed the food is nice. We wanted to try and share several things because everything looked really good. The biscuit was soft and tasted decent, the mac & cheese was surprisingly okay too, the truffle tots were good, and the three drumstick wings I ordered were fried to perfection, BUT the actual chicken was not seasoned (big sigh). I had to dip it in sauce for more flavor. Lastly, I tried their "half-baked" cookie, which was good. We ate inside and the place appeared to be clean. Even the restroom. The employees were pleasant and helpful. I would give Wishbone a 3.5.

    Classic Dark Meat Chicken Tenders

Went here finding some food late at night, good thing they are open til 4am. Got some chicken tenders but didn't realize it was dark meat. I didn't really enjoy them, if I came back i'd get something else

This is my go to spot for late night food! It is always open super late and we always stop by after a night out. I always get the dark meat and its always very fresh and delicious even at 2 am, the biscuits are good also! They have a variety number of sauces and my favorite is the tamarind sweet chili sauce! Their sides are very good especially the mac and cheese. The chicken tenders here are very tender, soft, and they have a little bit of a crunch. They are different from your typical fast food chicken tenders so I do think they are worth the price. They also have huge selection of craft beer!

It is intimate, friendly, down-to-earth, and totally unique. I don't visit Philly as often as I'd like (I live in NYC but grew up here) and while I'm always keeping up with dining scene, it's rare and thus special when I get to put a space to the name, so the speak. Next of Kin has a quirky, playful, impressively creative menu with drinks that are memorable. We came here at around 10:30pm on a Saturday night after dinner. There was a bit of a line outside which moved slowly, but we were given cute champagne jello shot things for our patience which were delightful and a fun little preview of what to expect on the inside. The seating options consist of tables, bar, and what I believe they call "love pods", all of which are beautifully designed. We were seated at the bar, which is our preference anyway. I always like chatting with the bartenders and hearing about the craft, and it is particularly enjoyable when they're as friendly and generous as the folks who work here. We were talking to them about some of their infusions and they let us try a taste of the coconut mezcal and the bruleed banana infused rum and both were unreal on their own. We ended up getting the Coco Bello (coconut mezcal, apertif, aromatized wine) which is a white negroni variation and the Swamp Thang (green chartreuse, herbal liqueur, pineapple and poblano tepache), which was served in some particularly memorable glassware (pictured). Both drinks were exceptional and complex, the former more sophisticated and the latter wacky and wholly unique.
