We were in town and decided to stop in. From the outside the restaurant looked little but don't let that fool your taste buds. There were a great variety of delicious sushi, Chinese and southeast Asian dishes, enough to please everyone in your groups palette. The restaurant is really busy, we also saw lots of food order pick up's. The service was great even for our party of 10, which we called ahead and made reservations for. We had the pleasure of meeting the 2 brothers that owned the restaurant, Teng Ly who is the chef & Futchy Ly who is the sushi chef. They are really great, hard working & wonderful people! The portions are pretty big so pricing is fair. The entree's are served family style. The flavors of the food were big and on point and you will go home stuffed. We ordered a lot more entrees but the food was so delicious, I didn't get a chance to take a picture of them before they got devoured! Everything was perfect, our party was pleased. My friend and I haven't been here since the new ownership-- Also wanted to support local immigrant owned businesses, we got pho and sushi. The pho could use a lot of work, there was not much of a taste there. We had to adjust it to make it work. As well as the meat portion it was small for what we had. I really wanted to like this place because our waitress was so nice and the food we did get was not bad, but the time it took for meals to come out was ridiculous. We waited an hour and one of our sushi rolls never came out. She said that the kitchen was backed up, but there was only one other party in the restaurant with us. In the end we decided to leave without it because we had somewhere to be. I also thought it was far too expensive for what we got; $40 for a pho, spicy salmon roll and spicy tuna roll. First of all, I can't say it enough but I love love this little hidden gem. Nestled in between car dealerships and apartments is this tiny little corner Chinese takeout spot. It's still a Chinese takeout but the new owner added in some additional items to the menu and I can't thank him enough for it. Aside from the dishes from the old menu, there's pho, chicken laab, and sushi! The sushi was pretty good! My friend and I ordered the sushi boat and we couldn't even fishing it. We also ordered the spicy edamame beans and those were the best I've had! I would highly recommend that appetizer. I love how the new owner kept the old menu because he said it keeps the old customers coming back. With the new menu, there's new faces and curious neighbors. I haven't tried much other than the crazy entrees. My favorite is the Crazy Lobster. Sells pretty high but it is pretty tasty. As far as I know you can do any kind of protein but just be ready for them to say they can't. The person I eat it with gets Red Curry with shrimp. Never heard any complaints from them. I get mine to go but they do have liquor inside. The ambiance has always been busy. It's a small restaurant but if they keep cranking out the Crazy Lobsters, they will come. read more

They recently update their manual and including sushi, sashimi, Chinese in combination with Vietnamese noodle pho, laab (beef, seafoods salad). I have not attend before, but I recently went to eat at the restaurants. The atmosphere was nice and the restaurant is clean. Seems like recently renovated. The menu is not too big pretty good decent sizes, varieties. Seems like their specialties are sushi, sashimi, and oysters (most ordered during my visit). There's sushi and sashimi are very good, good quality cut of fish, plating are nice and the prices are decent. I would definitely go back again. read more

Highly suggest reserving a head of time before you go. One thing I noticed about this restaurant is that it is always busy and there is always a wait. We had reservations for 630 PM but got pushed to 7 PM. A little bit disappointed as I was very hungry. However the food was good, presentation was superb. read more

Under new management since the last time I was in. First time was not great. This time was a whole new experience. Interior has been nicely refreshed, though still a relatively small dining room. 13 tables if im counting right. Showed up right around 5, half tables already full. Another 30 minutes and it's packed. Food is amazing. They have set a new standard for Kung Pao chicken for me, Veggies are fresh and varied. Be warned, it's legitimately spicy even by an Arizona boys' standards. Pot Stickers were well received by the table. Sweet and sour is served fresh from the fryer and veggies are nicely sautéed. 4stars only because of speed of service. Do not come here if you're in a rush, kitchen is serving a lot of to-go orders in addition to the dining room. read more

Quantities smaller; too much salt. I just had egg foo young and was disappointed that there were just 2 medium sized patties an the sauce was far too salty. At one point I used to get 3 patties in an order. The sauce was much darker and more concentrated than in the past and it was much too salty. The new management has done a great job in general. Yes, the prices have gone up but that is to be expected. The food is generally quite good. I do not miss the buffet. Please lower the salt in the egg foo young and serve 3 patties. read more

There's been this rave on fb how good this joint is, so while randomly talking about it with my bf, we decided to go give it a try. First impression, the entrance is very small and not a lot of waiting room. The whole seating place is very small with tables close together. We went around 6:30pm and it was busy. Right away, we noticed they were short staffed. Although one of the waiter acknowledged us, he asked someone to seat us, but we were given no direction rather to sit and wait for a table or to go to a table. Couple minutes passed by, and the other waiter noticed us and apologized and sat us down. I didn't notice this until we were waiting for our order to be taken, but we sat in a two person table which was across from the only bathroom. I only noticed it when I smelt something of a bathroom smell. After the waiter took our order and a different table opened up, I asked to be moved, which they allowed. To sum everything up, They're very short staffed for a busy spot, and the two waiters were working really hard. My bf ordered a beer, which took 10 mins to get to him after we asked for it again. We ordered two rolls (Ghost buster and Superman) that were very small portion size rolls and taste a notch better than grocery store sushi. We also ordered the oyster, which they were decent. It's probably my favorite thing we ordered, and lastly, we had curry chicken. The chief must have forgotten to taste the food because it was super bland with no flavor and missing salt. Our tab came to $60 something. Bottom line: go else where if you're looking for better and bigger roll sushi. Do not order entree unless they are not busy. I really wanted to like it due to the rave on fb, but at least I can I say I tried, and I probably won't be coming back. read more

I have tried this place off and on over the years, because it's close to my home. They've always been lackluster, but even with the change in ownership a few years ago the food quality has not improved. The only reason this gets two stars instead of one is that the food was hot, was ready when I picked it up, and there was a generous portion of it. The price is definitely higher than the food is worth. I ordered takeout yesterday: pork fried rice and stir-fried veggies with tofu. The fried rice only tasted like onions. Onion flavor isn't bad, but I expected a little more out of fried rice. Also the pork was mostly just fat; hardly any actual meat. Not awful, but disappointing. The stir-fried veggies with tofu were SPICY when I specifically ordered the dish mild, and the sauce had a strange flavor reminiscent of artificial smoke or sterno can - acrid and unappetizing. Additionally, I found two pieces of CHICKEN in my veggies with tofu. One was breaded, the other was not. I understand mistakes happen, but for there to be two different pieces of chicken with different preparation methods in my vegetables is concerning, especially for actual vegetarians or vegans. It shows a lack of care for cross-contamination. It's possible that the flavor profiles this restaurant uses are just not to my taste. Your mileage may vary. Other people do seem to enjoy it; it's always busy and has many other good reviews. But I've never had a good experience with the food here, and yesterday was no exception. read more

we came relatively early wen they just opened but there were people already there. the building is interesting. i'm not sure what it originally was prior to the restaurant remodeling it's interesting. we ordered the boat with two specialty rolls and oysters. we got the dragon roll (they charged us extra for this because it's not typically in the boat order), and another roll. i forget xD. the rolls were pretty good. i was surprised by the sashimi. i really liked their salmon and eel. it hit the spot for me. the sashimi is a bit more expensive than i'm used to. we did ended up ordering more oysters and another dragon roll(not pictured). the food is good. their customer service was friendly. i'd go again! read more

I love sushi. This is my new favorite spot to order sushi and Oysters on the halve shell as well. Yum went home with a dozen. Very happy. The only thing that I would suggest. Is to kings. I didn't know you was open. It looks closed all the time. The trees are blocking your sign and you parking lot is dark and There is not a good open close sign. So disappointed. I grew up with king's city, I even worked there as a teenager. They recently got a new owner and nothing is the same except some of the plates. I got the chicken lo mein, chicken chow mein, chicken fried rice, chicken wings and pot stickers. My family and I didn't like any of it except the chicken wings, they had a lemon pepper flavor but for $12.99 they weren't great. The chow mein was more like stir fry then anything. Stopped in for some food with the family and we all left with negative reviews. Food took a while to get to us. Took 10 minutes to get us 4 beers another 10 for another beer. The waitress did not come back once to refill our waters or asked if we needed anything until we asked, she also kept bringing other tables food to us. The combination pho had very little taste and small portion size. I got two pieces of shrimp, some old soggy sort of pork belly, and cheap cuts of beef that was not cut well. The two baskets of basil we got was not washed so be sure to look and touch it before putting it in your pho since it still had some sand or dirt on it. Got a pad Thai and it was watery and very bland. The sushi was ok some rolls had so much cream cheese we didn't even finish the roll. If it wasn't for the chicken wing laab I woulda left 1 star. After spending $300 and not one person in the group liked the food it was disappointing. read more

Owner tossed our food for being a bit late. Never called us. Makes sense why they've been trying to sell it for 10 years. What's sad is they treat women customers very poorly. The owner literally threw out the food, refused to make it again. I offered to repay. I've seen men come in there and he'll do anything for them. Delicious! I've been searching for a new Chinese restaurant since my favorite one closed a few years ago. I've only been here twice and have only ordered the chow mein, chicken lo mein, pork fried rice, egg rolls and cream cheese wontons, but all were fabulous!
