This shop told me I needed a new fuel pump. ok, paid for this, 1k, and then a week later got the same light on in the car with the same code. Had the code checked at the local Auto Zone, and low and behold, it was the fuel sensor. this is 250 to replace. they did an incorrect diagnosis and ripped me for a grand. read more

Wolf is a German mechanic who has been working on VW and Audi for decades. He only works on those cars, and knows them better than anybody in town. He didn't even blink at my imported German-market Audi S6, which was never sold in the US. Other shops, even so-called Audi specialists, were telling me there was no 2000 S6. He had no problem doing my major timing belt service, and made sure to do a complete job with all the seals and tensioners as well. The car was ready quickly, and below the quoted price. Wolf serviced my '98 Jetta for years (until somebody wrecked it). He's reliable, honest, and a good guy. Also, he has a great reputation among other VW/Audi shops. Yes, he's pricey, but that's because he's expert and uses OEM parts-- aftermarket crap. He refuses. NOTE: In 2013 my '98 VW Jetta was damaged by a pickup truck. I took my vehicle to Wolf to have the hood repaired. Unfortunately, the shop was a bit too eager and began a paint job that I did not authorize. I had primer applied to my front fender and rear bumper before I asked them to stop. They did install an aftermarket carbon fiber hood, but was not secured. As I left the shop on the I-15 S, the hood flew into my windshield while I was doing 65mph. Wolf Auto Repair fixed my windshield at no charge and installed an OEM metal hood; but I was admittedly disappointed. NOTE: In September 2017, I was in need of a new vehicle after my Honda Civic was rear-ended. I went to Wolf to see if he had any vehicles for sale, and he sold me an '01 VW Jetta Wagon for a fair price. It runs great, and we are back on good terms. read more

Purchased a 2013 golf tdi ( byback diesel ) had an oil change and a boost gauge installed ( mechanical line routed and interfaced w/ adapter for pressure inlet.). 2 weeks later gauge line poorly routed and Not tied up just laying in the engine poped off. Terrible if your looking for the shop you trust, very EXPENSIVE and quality is Not even ( mobile shops ). Craigslist mechanics are a better option. Wolfs Auto is the best Audi/VW mechanic in town. I have an 08 Audi A4. I got into an accident and brought the car to him. Originally he said $300 dollars, then after driving it and hearing something he inspected deeper and raised the estimate to $500, after driving it again and finding something else the estimate was ended at $800 dollars. Sure it's a little discouraging when the price goes up but guess what?! Happy to pay Wolf! Want to know why? CAUSE I TRUST HIM! What would of cost me over $2500 at the dealership cost me only 8 with wolf. It's quality work for a quality price! Car has ran great since! I'm going in for an oil change tomorrow! After 2 failed attempts to get my Audi repaired at a general mechanic, I finally wised up and brought my car here. Wolf answered the phone and was honest about the possibility of not being able to fix my car today (if I dropped off later than 3:30 and depending on the repair). When I got to the shop, I was greeted by his wife and they looked at my car within 20 minutes. Wolf came out and chatted with me....he actually listened to me (I told him what other shop told me/recommended). When they looked at it, it turns out that the other shop was VERY WRONG in their diagnosis and it was what I had originally told the previous shop....sounds like bad PCV Valve. Wolf came back in in less than 5 minutes and said, it's not a belt-it's your PCV valve. They were able to fix and didn't drain my bank account. Wolf gave me tips on how to take care of my car (1st time Audi owner) and how to deal with the heat in Vegas. He also spoke with other customers and explained in detail and honestly about their cars and the issues they were having. I love this man....he exudes passion and honesty. I was referred to Wolf from a friend who had also owned a VW Beetle. She said he was completely to be trusted, did fabulous work, and would never suggest anything extra that was unnecessary to "pad" the bill. After being completely disgusted by prices quoted at the dealership only 5 miles from my house, I decided the trek across town would be worth it, and over and again, I have been so happy I did. There was one post I noticed that was negative and I'd like to address that. Wolf's Auto is very professional and they are careful in their estimates for appointments and very efficient at keeping on task. It's very important to *make an appointment* - if you show up, no appointment, you will probably be very disappointed. Olga is the heart of making things go smoothly, and is a very nice but business like personality, so, a whiny female in distress type isn't going to get much sympathy. I love them, I can trust them, and I don't waste their time, and they do the same for me. So back to my review: They are absolutely the best in the business! I'd like to get another VW down the line just because they are so fantastic. When I get Wolf's wife Olga on the phone, she is exact in her estimates of time and appointments, and Wolf is wonderful in his care for the cars and getting things done right. I was referred to Wolf for my Volkswagen Tiguan 2016 by Glens auto shop because he specializes in Volkswagen and Audi. Wolf referred me to Manny Chavez 11/15/2021 because he has a lot of cars to woodland he also said he is short of staff. I needed my new turbo that I bought to be installed. Wolf told me to get a diagnosis to see if it is the turbo for sure I went to Many which his fake business is called Eurohaus Motorsport, told me that the diagnosis says it's the turbo I made an appointment to get my turbo installed the next day which was 11/16/2021. I was sitting for about two hours and Manny comes back to tell there's a serious problem and said my Catalytic Converter was messed and he can sell me a "USED" Catalytic Converter for 500 once my original mechanic heard that he immediately came to the shop and caught Manny Chavez breaking up my honeycomb in my converter. In the state of Nevada it's illegal to sell used Catalytic Converter that business isn't a real business they are all immigrants and all working under other peoples names and there no business license when requested Manny agreed to give me my 1,323 back and also called because he said I was disturbed when I wasn't but who wouldn't be upset if they car is returned not working he broke car. Afterwards I spoke to Wolf and wolf was defending Manny Chavez wouldn't let me talk he kept over talking over and after I got off the phone without him knowing me and my family was still at the shop he came to the shop to speak to Manny Chavez manny deleted his Instagram etc. read more

Our Audi A3 was hesitating really bad and the check engine light came on. We took our Audi here because they specialize in VWs and Audi (same company) even though the location is not convenient for us. We called and made an appointment for when it was convenient for us to drive the 30 minutes to Craig/I-15. We dropped off the car and talked a little with Wolf (the owner/operator). He is a funny guy that loves cars. Not much later we got a call and they went over what was wrong with the car and what our options were. I knew the error codes before we went and read online what needs to be done for these codes, and Wolf echoed what was on the internet. I was expecting the fix to cost many monies, but I was very surprised at how reasonable was the estimate price. Not only was it a reasonable cost but they could have had it fixed and returned to us that same day! We knew that the front brake pads needed to be replaced very soon so I asked them for an estimate for that work and they were 2 steps ahead of me and already caught that issue and had a quote ready. I already had a quote from a highly rated yelp tire/brake store and the Wolf quote matched their price so I just asked that they do the work while they had the car. The AC in the car was also not as cool as we preferred so we asked for them to recharge it as well. After all the work we had done the price was well under the money we had put aside for these fixes and the car is running as good as ever and blowing cold air. I am so glad this auto shop exists in Las Vegas and the long drive is worth the incredible service for the great price. MY check engine and epc lights came on in my GTI and I decided to take it here based on the positive reviews. Although the couple negative ones had my alarm bells ready I can say after having visited here I don't know what the negative reviews are on about and that I would totally vouch for and recommend this place for your VW! The owner Wolf is a super nice guy and you can tell he has a great passion for VW's as do I and coolest thing of all is the guy is German and was certified at VW in Germany so he comes from the source. They were courteous and fast as I was in and out in only an hour. Turned out it needed a software update that could only be performed by the dealer and they did not charge me for hooking my car up to the computer and looking it over as most other garages would have. In fact the dealer I took it to charged $120 just for the computer diagnostics. He didn't try and hard sell me on anything and just mentioned I might want to check in to getting a new timing belt because they wear out quickly in the desert which is already something I knew and was thinking about because he was right. If I ever have a service issue or need servicing in the future I will definitely be taking my GTI here. read more

I was highly disappointed with this place. I'd read all these good reviews but this place was NOT like I had read. I had just drove from Dallas, TX (Relocating for work) I had a car full of stuff, my two pets, it was hot *of course* and I had smoke and oil coming from my vehicle. When I pulled it in, the mechanic wouldn't even open up the hood and see inside (which as a female makes me feel better, to have someone at least open it up and look at it first) but NO he was completely unsympathetic and just pointed for me to go inside and speak to the woman in the front. He never asked how I was, if I was ok, or anything, never even told me the name of who I should talk to. When I got inside, I waited, and waited, and waited, and waited. I was inside for almost 20 min before I finally had a mechanic walk in, when I asked if there was anyone up front who could help me he said hold on, and disappeared for another 10 minutes before coming back and saying "Yeah, she'll be back in a few minutes" Wow, sorry to inconvenience her, it was OBVIOUS customers are not a priority. FINALLY after waiting and waiting some more, with the phone inside ringing off the hook and no one answering it this woman came in. She said it would be $80 for them to just open my hood and look inside, and that they wouldn't even touch my car without charging me. Sorry, but like I said, as a female that is very shady to me and she didn't seem to care at all that I was scared, alone in a new city, with a car full of stuff and pets. The way she treated me and spoke to me after all that waiting and the mechanics lack of concern made me realize I would rather drive my OBVIOUSLY undriveable car ANYWHERE else but there. I would have rather broken down in the desert than stay at that place any longer. I ended up driving it closer to where my apartment is and the shop near here GLADLY opened my hood free of charge, just to make me feel better, they offered me water, EVERYONE acknowledged me and was kind, they all offered advice, and helped to make me feel better, plus it didn't take over 20 minutes just to talk to someone. In all, I will NEVER go back to Wolf. read more

The repair prices might be more than a Pep Boys, but these people only work on VW/Audi's. They don't mess with Hondas or Fords. They know what they're doing. I have taken my old jetta (no jokes, please) to them approxiately 12 times with each time being great. In fact, I got in a small accident and the other guy's insurance company quoted me a ridiculously high rip off quote for the repairs. I took the quote to Wolf who said he could easily beat the quote. I got to keep the difference. :) The shop is honest and intelligent about VW matters. Their schedule isn't 24/7, but if you can drop your car off at night, then you'll be able to get it the next day. Wolf Auto took care of all of my issues in one visit. The shop was buzzing when I walked through the door, phone ringing off the hook. All of the staff was in proper VW specialist's attire. You could just tell that this was the place to bring your beloved VW when she needs some TLC. My repair was fairly steep, but this is only due to neglect by bringing my car to unqualified mechanics, or simply mechanics that have no passion for what they do. I had a chance to talk with the owner and another Wolf associate about the issues I was having and they were very friendly and helpful in explaining the issues my car was having. Wolf is the only guy in Las Vegas I will EVER take my VW to. Hands down the best service I have found in Las Vegas. Here's why. My daughter was told by the dealership she bought her car from that a certain repair would be $750. When we were referred to Wolf we were impressed with his knowledge and easy manner of explaining to his customers the workings of their vehicle, while we waited to see how much this repair would cost. He looked the car over, brought it back around to us and said he wouldn't work on it. When he said that it was warranty work and the dealership WAS REQUIRED to fix it for no charge and we needed to take it back to them, we actually asked him to fix it anyway because there was no way we wanted them to touch it! He called them, told them we were coming, that it would be no cost to us, and that he would be checking the repair to be sure they had done what they were supposed to, and he never charged to check their work. Wolf has forever earned our business! That was 10 years ago. My mother bought VW's ever since. Her most recent purchase was an Audi because she knew Wolf could take care of it.
